Betrayal has a bitter taste. It needs to be sweetened with a heavy dose of revenge.

Before he was the Host, he was just a man in unrequited love, trying to keep his promises.

Raven isn't done escaping death. She isn't done with this country. She isn't done with this game. And she isn't done with doing what she does best.
Being underestimated.
The game isn't over, but as it nears the end she starts to fully question.
Why are the winners never seen again?
Why is the Host so familiar?
And what exactly does 197 want from her?

The Hunger Games meets Saw in this dark why choose dystopian romance. There are a heavy dose of TWs that will be listed on the first page. Every character is flawed and morally grey. Do not expect any heros. This FMC can save herself.

ARC review

This book is a perfect follow up to Cut Her Strings. The development of the story is a wild ride, the characters, the twists and turns, the games, the spicy scenes! I am so addicted to this series I can't wait for more!

Drop His Mask is a complete roller coaster of emotions. While I'm not the biggest fan of the half 1pov and 3pov I must say I really don't mind how it's written because it's easier to follow what's happening.

I highly recommend this book and the 1st one!

This ends on a bitch of a cliffhanger but my god is it worth it. I thought the first book was good, this one was amazing! The storyline has you on the edge of your seat the entire freaking time. Just read it, trust me.

ARC review: This book was none stop action and fast paced from start to finish. It was hard to put down and kept me guessing every step of the way. As soon as I thought I had something figured out or predicted, I was way off and totally surprised! Not to mention the SPICE!!! Again a total surprise and some fun unique ways to throw it in. If you want a book that gives you EVERYTHING, this is it.

I don’t like spoilers, so I won’t give anything away, but if you are looking for romance, thriller, horror and unique world building I highly recommend the Fractured Puppet series.

This book is book 2 to the series, book 1 leaves a lot of questions and can be down right confusing at times (it was honestly a 3 star read for me because of it) that being said it’s worth the read to get to Drop his Mask. I can’t wait for book 3!

ARC Review: If I'm being honest, book one had a few unanswered questions that I was pondering. It took me a few chapters to get into it, but once I was in it, I was invested...
Well, Drop His Mask (book 2) had my heart pounding. I literally just finished it and wish that I was able to start into book 3 right now.
Another cliff hanger. I was literally screaming for the characters in this book.
If you like games/challenges, spice, and books that keep you hooked... You need to pick this one up and give it a try.
It's safe to say this is my #1 book of 2025 as it stands.

Well shit.

I have so many questions.
I love a dystopian.
I love a why choose.

This whole thing is all sorts of fucked up and I need answers.

I’m at a loss on what to say that doesn’t give spoilers.

Thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to arc read this title.

Another wild ride! Drop His Mask continues where book one ended. Raven is still in the game but we learn more about The Host and that connection. Sage has a way of pulling you in and taking you on a ride. The characters and world building are so good. Ends on a cliffhanger.

Wow!! Such a good continuation to the series! Being able to understand the game plan for the characters and seeing the bigger picture for where everybody is heading really made me enjoy this book that much more. Not only that, but the character relationships were spicy and I looooved that!

“Because we are all tied together by the same sun”

ARC Review

Thoughts: Sage RelleAnne knows how to pull you in and never let go. Drop His Mask picks up right where Cut Her Strings left off, making it so easy to dive right back into the story. The tension, the drama, and the chaos all ramp up in the best way possible, but what stood out was the character development. You get to see deeper layers of the characters—who they really are beneath the masks they wear—making everything feel even more intense. The twists hit hard, keeping me hooked from start to finish. The balance between the storyline, the smut, and the emotional depth was chef’s kiss—nothing felt over the top, but it still delivered everything you’d want in a dark romance. Sage has this way of writing that makes every moment feel real, every emotion hit just right, and every reveal leave you wanting more.

Favorite part: The reveals. Every time a secret was uncovered or a mask slipped, the tension shot through the roof, and I lived for it.

Notes: I can 100% see this turning into a whole series, and honestly, I need book three right now. The pacing was perfect—fast when it needed to be, but still giving enough time for the more profound moments to sink in. The way the characters evolve in this book is just so good.

Drop His Mask is book two to Cut Her Strings, this is a perfect follow-up to book 1. If you like romance, thriller, horror, etc, this will be right up your street!!

I won't write too much about the story as you must read book 1 to know what's going on but it follows Raven and her story in a game that she is placed in ( Raven was supposed to be dead at the hands of her sister, who is known as nightingale! her death was witnessed, but she's not dead. What has happened to her in the meantime? And why does she need out? With factions and corrupt governments, she doesn't want to be here anymore what is this game and why is she not finished with it) book 1 was slightly confusing at times but it's a great follow up and answered questions that I had following book 1 , the story has so many twists and turns and when you think you have something figured out, think again!! It's fast-paced, but you can keep up.

Book one ended on such a cliffhanger, and so did book two, I can't wait for more.

It is a reverse harem, which means she will not choose between her men and choices does she have. The spice is spicing!!

I definitely recommend this series and can not wait to read more

The bitterest taste in the world comes from betrayal. The only thing that can sweeten it is a very heavy dose of revenge.

There was a time before he was the host, there was a time when he was just a simple man, a man who was deeply in love, and he was just trying his best to keep all his promises.

Raven has been fighting to stay alive, and she's not done escaping death yet. She's not done staying in this country yet, even though she wants out so much. And no matter how much she wants out of this game, she's not with this game yet either. And she's going to keep doing what she does the best, rising above, and she will not allow anyone to underestimate her.

This years game is far from over, but the closer they get to the end of the game, the more she starts to really start to ask questions.

Why are the past winners of the game never seen again?

Why does the host of this game seem so familiar to her?

And finally, what does 197 really want from her?

Drop His Mask is The Hunger Games Meets Saw meets Squid Games in this dark why choose dystopian romance. This book does have a heavy amount of trigger warnings that are listed on the first page. Just know that each and every character is flawed in their own way, and they are also morally grey. There are no heroes. This FMC can and will save herself.

Sage RelleAnne has this amazing ability to grab your attention, pull you in, and she doesn't let you go. Cut Your Strings was just the start of this crazy ride, and Drop His Mask picks up right where Cut Her Strings left off.

This made it so easy to jump right back into the story and dive in head first to the next chapter of this roller-coaster ride of an adventure. And ever since I finished reading Cut Her Strings, I was dying to read this book and find out what happened next.

All the tension, drama, and chaos just ramps up in this book, and it's only in the best ways. What really stood out to me, though, was all the continued character development that Sage did. I didn't think that the characters could grow and change anymore than they had from Cut Her Strings, but oh, did they ever. We got to see so many more layers of each character

Sage has this way of writing that makes every moment feel real. Every emotion hit just right, and every reveal leaves you wanting more.

I can 100% see this turning into a full series, and honestly, I need book three right now.

Notes: The pacing was perfect—fast when it needed to be, but still giving enough time for the deeper moments to sink in. The way the characters evolve in this book is just so good.

Favorite part: The reveals. Every time a secret was uncovered or a mask slipped, the tension shot through the roof, and I lived for it.

Read if you love: Dark romance, Twists that keep you on edge, and the perfect mix of drama and spice

This book owned me, and I’m not mad about it. Bring on book three!

Oh, Front Man will finally drop his mask! Haha, just kidding! For those of you who crave dark dystopian romance (with "Why choose" trope) and who find intensity and morally complex to be personal challenges rather than warnings... congratulations! Your next obsession has arrived! This series is your calling. Just peek at the trigger warnings first okay? Your therapist will thank you.

---------
We all know the first book in this series (Cut Her Strings), ended on a cliffhanger. So, anything from Book 1 will continue in this Book number 2, Drop His Mask!

Plots here? Well-made! Again, you can't put the story down. Every time you think you know what's going on, the story surprises you! I keep getting hooked and I know I'm not the only one... other readers here are just like me! WE are all eager to find out what happens next in this book.

MY EMOTION WHILE READING THIS BOOK:
This is an emotional rollercoaster for sure. As a reader, I don't just observe. I truly experience the character's hard-earned victories, feeling their triumphs as if they were my own. But of course, it's not all celebration! I also face scenes here that...surprisingly, really challenge my own emotions. I'm deeply invested in their struggles and triumphs.

This story pulled me in from the very first page... and I remained completely hooked, even when things got tough. What I love about Book 2 is that the author isn't afraid to explore morally complex situations. They also handle discussions about societal taboos in a bold way that encourages deeper thought.

And the secrets! Aha! There were so many moments where my jaw literally dropped as revelations came to light. The way Sage RelleAnne weaves in these shocking truths (most especially concerning certain characters and their pasts) is masterful! You'll find yourself questioning everything and everyone, including the Host and what 197's true intentions are.

Fair warning, this one ends on a massive cliffhanger so be prepared to be left wanting more! I can barely stand the wait for the next book! Still, I'm already counting down until I can get all the answers I'm dying to know. Lol!

---------------------
NOTE: This is my personal opinion about the book. My goal is to share my experience, not to change anyone's perspective. Thank you to Sage RelleAnne for giving me the opportunity to read this as an ARC.

Firstly, this has to be read in order after the first title 'Cut her Strings' as it is a continuation of the bigger plot that is happening for these characters. It is definitely not for the faint-hearted with so many violent tendencies happening once the 'games' begin. It's a little like 'Handmaid's tale' meets the 'Hunger Games' with the whole Dystopian genre wrapping it altogether.
I thought it was a very creative plot, filled with interesting and some twisted characters that really help build the whole sense of emotional tension that resides with the story. As it was sometime that I read the first book to this one it took me a while to reassociate myself with the characters identities but thankfully the Author did provide updates within the story as to their allegiances to one another.
As I mentioned these characters are so well created and with so many of them being pivitol to the plot and our heroine, you will hope there will be successful outcomes for them all. But that is for you, the reader to not only find out for yourself but to also gauge if they are deserving.
It has so many rewarding scenarios and moments but still a story that will truly test your emotional resolve. It contains action, corruption, betrayal, drama, emotional pull, a sense of possession, romance, devotion, sexual tensions, angst, devastation, devotion, societal taboos and greed, all wrapped in this feeling of violence and mayhem. It's a story that is created in different POV's and there is a lot of time switching from past to present, but for me these are what makes for an interesting read. Oh and 'yes' a big time cliff hanging end but because Raven (FMC) is so great, her presence and resiliency of a character will burn within you happily waiting to see how her future turns out.

4.5 ⭐️ 2 🌶️

👺Forced drug usage
☠️Mentions of SA (not graphic or to FMC)
👺Dub Con/CNC
☠️Murder
👺Loss of loved ones (not the main characters)
☠️Corpses used as psychological torture
👺Creatures used as psychological torture
☠️Very graphic blood and gore
👺Reference to CSA (not on page or graphic)
☠️Different types of deaths that may be considered especially cruel
👺Attempted murder on a child (not graphic and is not carried out)

This is book two in the Fractured Puppets series. I would advise reading book one before diving in to the as this is very much a continuation of the first book and it picks up right where book one leaves off. That being sad book two still has the Multiple POV just like book one but it is a bit darker then book one so please be aware of the triggers for both books before you start the series. This is a phenomenal book! The story line is so well planed out and every step was strategically made! It gave a little bit of everything as far as action, spice and plot. The primary main character is Raven she is the person that the stories are mostly about. It follows her life in the world that she lives in and her time in the games that the world puts together for mostly men to go at each other. The winner gets a free pass and they get their life of freedom. The plot gives a little Saw and a little Squid Games even a little like Handmaids Tale all mixed together but like better. Honestly I’m a Saw girly but this book would be an AMAZING show/movie and if one day it does you best bet I will be there for it cause I have absolutely fallen in love with the characters and the story line! I am officially committed to the full series and I am very excited for 2026 to be here so I can get my hands on book three.

I received the ARC for this book, which was a relief because the first book, Cut Her Strings, had me dying for answers. And Drop His Mask delivered.

This review has taken me weeks to write, in part because I think it has taken me weeks to process the book. This is an intense story. It is dark. There is danger and trauma and heartbreak. And it took time to process. We find out a lot of information in this book. I thought the first book was light on world-building and development for some character because that would be added in later, and that instinct was right. This book starts to fill in the holes, while also revealing other gaping questions that the third book will hopefully answer.

I think the writing was a little better in this book. In the first book, I didn’t notice glaring writing issues, but I thought some language in the flashbacks felt too stilted. That did continue a little bit. But it did feel like the author had a better grasp of their voice and settled into a flow. It just had a quiet, subtle improvement quality that naturally comes continuing to write over time. I still didn’t really save any quotes or identify passages of note. The writing overall is still pretty average and perfectly acceptable.

But once again, the plot for this book was absolutely fantastic. I was thoroughly engaged the whole time. I’m still actively thinking about it weeks later. As for the characters, I love them more with every new thing we learn about them. There was a fair bit of character development in this book, and it worked for me.

Overall, I give this 4 stars. I really enjoyed every moment of this book, even the emotionally hard ones. I would definitely recommend it to friends, while being mindful about trigger warning. I will probably want to read this again.

Absolutely — here's a **reader-style review** that captures the tone and themes of your book while making it sound enticing and emotionally intense, perfect for use on Amazon, Goodreads, social media, or a promo graphic:

---

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
**“The Hunger Games walked into a torture chamber and fell in love. And I devoured every page.”**

This book is brutal, bloody, and *unapologetically dark*. Raven is the kind of FMC I crave — sharp, calculating, emotionally complex, and constantly underestimated. She doesn’t need a savior. She *is* the weapon. And the Host? Let’s just say, the layers of this man will leave you spiraling.

The world is dystopian, the stakes are deadly, and *no one* is safe. It's a twisted game of survival where alliances are fragile, revenge is currency, and every character is dancing on the edge of morality. I couldn't stop turning the pages — not even when my heart was racing, or breaking.

And just when you think you've figured it out... the book pulls the ground right out from under you.

The "why choose" element is perfectly woven into the chaos — raw, tense, and slow-burning in all the best ways. No instant love here, only war-scarred connection forged through blood and betrayal.

If you're looking for sunshine, heroes, or clean romance? This isn’t it. But if you want a **dark, violent, dystopian ride with complex characters, impossible choices, and a heroine who refuses to break**, this will wreck you in the best way.

**Trigger Warnings galore — and they’re there for a reason.**

I will never look at games — or revenge — the same way again.

This is a dark why choose.
This is book 2 of the series. This is not a standalone, you need to read book 1.
First person pov and 3rd person pov. Multiple pov.
Ending.....cliffhanger
Spice: medium, more or less

Drop His Mask is book 2 of the dark and thrilling series Fractured Puppets. Hunger Games meets Squid Games with a why choose romance. It's a dark story of murder, hope, and romance that will leave you wanting more.

In this book we learn more about the Host. We see the connection he has with Raven and the lengths he went to keep a promise. We also find more about the world outside the games and the key players who have something up their sleeves. This book answers questions from Cut Her Strings but also brings you more questions.

I loved coming back to the characters and the world Sage RelleAnne created. I especially loved learning more about the Host, my new book bf. I'm impressed with the men Raven has. Just when I thought she had a great amount of guys at her side, she gets more. Lucky Raven.

I'm obsessed. I had a blast reading this book.

This was an ARC read and review. I'm grateful to the author for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

First, let me say that this book had me in its clutches from the cliffhanger at the end of book 1. If you have not read Cut Her Strings yet, stop and fl back and read it.

At first, the back and forth POV from 1st to 3rd can seem a little off but it actually works well in this book as it gives such distinctive voices and insights into the characters.

As for the games, our emotionally conflicted team must come to terms that this set of games is not like the last and there is far more going on behind the scenes than anyone is aware of. Secrets best kept hidden are brought to light and do we ever really know who our enemies are?

I DEVOURED this book while travelling and I am wrecked. Raven, Sparrow, Jayce, Levi, Enzo, Maverick, Oleks, Griffin, Julian, ANADIL?! Heart wrenching. And the cliffhanger! Ugh! 2026 needs to get here NOW.

My only real disappointment (if it can even be called that) is there was significantly less spice in this book, in my opinion. What was there served specific purposes but it definitely was not along the same vein was the first book. It also didn’t act as a detriment to the story, which I was pleased with. I’m very curious how this reverse harem will end when all is said and done.

But one thing is for sure—Katniss Everdeen ain’t got nothin’ on Raven.

Cherished

The games are soul-crushing. It's like watching a crash happen and you can't look away.
This isn't for the faint of heart; it’s darker than the first one—the games move to more advanced levels, but not the good kind. Read the TW, it's very important.
It continues to describe human capabilities. The ability we have to be so destructive, yet at the same time, find something to hold onto in order to survive, to maintain some "sanity."
So many secrets and unknowns, but at least some of them are revealed to us throughout the book. With the flashbacks, we can piece together the puzzle that is the present.
Our (and their) only respite for the nervous system comes in the hot scenes, which are very intense. It’s not surprising, considering they don't know if they’ll be together the next day, or even the next hour.
Her little harem is growing... She is like fresh air in a place full of decay.
Despite the circumstances, she always tries the most humane way to save herself and those she loves. This is what makes her like honey to bees.
Information is survival, and they need to search for hidden meanings to survive.
But the most important questions remain: Where does her sister fit into all of this? Who will survive?
And what is the truth?
To be continued... These cliffhangers are nail-biting.

Ok . So let me just start by simply stating that i am not someone who typically enjoys reading Dystopian themed romances at all and I mean at all . But Sage Relleanne’s books - well anything written by her truly is the exception. The being said I am a huge lover of Dark Romance and Why Choose romances so of course I decided what the heck !! I Gave Drop his Mask a chance and oh how I’m so glad I did . In all honesty Im not quite sure any words could possibly even start to describe the crazy and wild ride I was just taken on . You know that feeling though, the feeling you get in your stomach when you’re just about to get on the wildest ride at the amusement park ? The feeling of being excited and anxious, the anticipation of what’s coming next ? Well I felt that from beginning to end. And on top of that all the steam , the twists and turns, the secrets , the non stop action, the intrigue, the suspense, the betrayal, the revenge, the complexity of the characters and the story , the questions that you’ll find yourself seeking answers to , morally grey and beautifully flawed characters, a kick@ss heroine and much much more. Drop His Mask really took me by surprise, left me speechless and had me craving so much more by the end . Man was I just completely blown away in all the best ways possible

In most cases, we expect sequels to be a boring prelude between an exciting start and the happy ending of a trilogy. If you’re expecting Drop His Mask to be boring, lose that expectation now.

Where Cut Her Strings had some rough spots, Drop His Mask has refined the story into something exhilarating; I could not put this book down. This book picks up immediately following the gut-wrenching (and a little bit confusing) cliff hanger of the first entry. I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t like the end of the first book. It felt like it came out of nowhere. But this follow up immediately shows you that twist was VITAL to the rest of the story. The twists in this book are handled more eloquently, and the overall writing has improved. There is a lot of POV switching between Raven and The Host, so be prepared for that. The character interactions are still incredible; that was what kept me interested in the first book and they still had me invested in Drop His Mask. As Raven falls for her men, so do you, and you’ll get peeks into their thoughts and feelings too. I’m really glad I was given the opportunity to ARC read this book, because if not for that I probably wouldn’t have after reading the first entry. But now I can’t wait for the next one!

Just wow!!! A thrilling, dark romance that dives deep into the psyche of its characters, exploring the fine line between love, deception, and self-preservation. With a plot full of twists and emotional intensity, the story explores the complexity of relationships that are built on secrets, manipulation, and trust—or the lack thereof.

The story follows the protagonist as she becomes entangled with a man who presents himself as charming and perfect but harbors dark secrets behind his seemingly flawless exterior.

Complex character development especially when your not just a typical “bad boy” but rather a multi-layered character whose actions and decisions stem from deeply rooted insecurities and unresolved trauma. This adds a level of complexity to the romance, as the reader is constantly questioning whether he is redeemable or merely manipulative.

The protagonist, too, is well-developed, and her emotional growth is both heartbreaking and inspiring. As she navigates the toxic dynamics of her relationship, the reader feels her confusion, her struggle with trust, and her fight for self-worth. Her journey is one of self-discovery and empowerment, and it resonates long after the book is finished.
Sooo good!

This book follows straight after Cut Her Strings and I’m grateful for that cause the the way the first book left that cliffhanger was unfair! Haha.
The second book still follows Raven during the games but also has the flashback chapters about the host, no spoilers with that, you find out his time frame and story leading up to him becoming the host on the current games before the time lines sync.
More twists and shocks in this and love the overall story about the world they are in.
In the first book it starts with Raven being broken, completely, she’s had enough and just wants it all the stop. Her development progresses through into the second book really well. Her mind is stronger, her body not so much but she’s a survivor and the men around her have really helped. Her numerous men, like collecting Pokemon and I love it lol They are what’s getting her through, she thinks it’s weakness but it’s so far from that. She’s opened herself up to care and be cared for, to trust. Though I do love the MFM with Jayce and Levi, it’s adorable and balances really well!
The trials are mad, think hunger games meets squid games. A very enjoyable read! If you like chaos, reverse harem and dystopian worlds this book is for you! Now I just need book three!!

♡ARC Review♡

Drop His Mask is the 2nd book in the Fractured Puppets series. This series literally keeps getting better and better. In this book we get the past of Julian over the last 5 years and the present with all the current players in the Masquerade game. More identities have been revealed from under their masks. There was spice, but it wasn't over powering. I felt this story mainly focused on how Julian became the host and how Raven was just trying to heal from her injury from the first book and is just trying to survive like everyone else. I loved finding out more in depth information about the government and the creators of the game. I had an OMG moment when one of the creators revealed their identity. Clearly, I wasn't expecting that! I'm bummed I gotta wait a year for book 3! This was just such a good read that I need the next one immediately! I couldn't recommend this series enough! Don't sit on this series.. if you like Hunger games and Squid games.. seriously give this try!

A brilliant continuation of the series.

Book 1 was very reminiscent of recent popular TV and film, which was part of the draw for sure. But it very quickly starts to diverge, and though continuing with the themes, Book 2 digs deeper, going beyond those surface themes to expand on the story behind it all, and bringing further mysteries wrapped in violence, but also plenty of answers.

This book explores more of the characters' pasts, the world they all live in, and how the game came about. No spoilers here, though!

Book 2 introduces more of the players, who they are, and their connections. How much of a role they will have in the future story isn't clear yet, but I'll be watching two in particular.

Julian "The Host's" history and how he knows Raven are particularly enlightening in this book, as those snippets give rise to the larger world and its political situation. I found this especially enjoyable, and enough is held back that it has left me wanting to know more.

It again ends on a bit of a cliffhanger that has made me just a little furious, as I can't wait to see what happens next!

Figuring out the loopholes to stay alive

Every round has a loophole but can our group find them in order to survive the challenges?

This book has so many twists and turns you will never know who you can trust or who just might be out to ensure you lose. Secrets are revealed and plans are all in motion but what is the desired outcome? Who is pulling the strings and what will happen next?

This book is just as nerve wracking as the first one with higher stakes and big changes. We come in where the last books cliffhanger left us falling. This is fast paced with enough injuries and questions to leave your mind reeling. There are some really big discoveries in this story that will leave you wondering what could possibly come up next.

Another cliffhanger leaves you wondering what could possibly be next and who will actually make it out of this alive. What has been chance and what has been choreographed? Who will survive the game and will they be able to make any differences?

Tropes:
Friends to Lovers
Dystopian
Who Did This to You

If you have not read Cut Her Strings yet start there. This book picks up immediately following the first book. I loved this book more than the first one. It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat and you never know what is happening in the plot. Sage does such a fantastic job at leading you one way and then completely changing the direction of where you thought it was going. This book is written in multiple POV’s with the FMC being in 1st person and the MMC in 3rd person. This takes a little bit getting used to and you have to pay attention to whose chapter you’re reading. The spicy in this book is pretty minimal only showing up in a couple chapters. Not only does this book jump POV but it also jumps timelines, which I quite enjoy. In the end the timeline meet each other. This is a slow burn why choose book with a lot of dark aspects and a couple gorry scenes. I definitely recommend checking your trigger warnings for this book even if you read the 1st one, this one has a lot darker scenes in it.

I got this as an ARC but all opinions are my own!

WOW! This was even better than the first one. The way that the relationships between Raven and her men progressed in this was super satisfying. Levi is as perfect as ever, Jayce was surprisingly accepting of and willing to let Raven do what she wanted with the other men. That scene with Maverick was super hot and there’s one with Oleks that was good too. There was some group stuff in this that was just perfection and exactly what I wanted to see. The games in this one were super nuts and like seriously has no one in these countries heard of therapy? I think it would benefit them greatly. No but seriously this was great. I loved getting the flashbacks in The Hosts POV because it was a great way of revealing the stuff going on in the background while the present day story is happening. The twist of who the Creators are made me so mad, like how dare they. The way this ended was amazing and Nightingale is legit a master manipulator. I can’t wait to see what happens in book three!!

This series? It’s all about the vibes. Is it perfectly written? No. Do I care? Also no. Because once you’re strapped in, it’s a wild, unhinged ride you can’t stop reading. The writing could use more detail, especially in the action scenes, and I still found myself confused during parts of the games—but somehow, I was having too much fun to care.

The dystopian setup is giving Hunger Games meets kinky chaos, and I’m so intrigued by the world. We got a lot more answers in this book, which I appreciated, but now I’ve got a whole new list of questions and I need Sage RelleAnne to personally answer for that cliffhanger.

Also... how big is this harem going to get?? We’ve got 195, 197, the host, the twins, Jayce, and Levi—and I’m not even mad about it. This girl is collecting emotionally unstable men like Pokémon and I respect the hustle.

Everyone’s a baddie, the pace is fast, and the chaos is non-stop. Is it hard to keep track of everyone and everything? Yes. Am I still fully committed to the mess? Absolutely. Book three, I’m ready for you. Bring the drama.
