Joji Manabe just threw everything he had into a story and while I admit most of it didn't stick it was still a hero story with a nice buildup and good potential. It is dated but at the same time the fast pace and designs make it easy to read.

Terribly written, to start off with the character designs have really not dated well at all, 2ndly hardly any of the first volume even includes either of the leads (which might be a blessing providing how boring they are) this work can't figure out whether it wants to be a badly paced drama or a cheesy space romantic comedy similar to Tenchi Muyo. This book has remained forgotten by most for a good reason.

Space opera! In Tokyo, aliens invade! Caught amidst the confusion and wreckage, a photojournalist named Tetsuya gets to see the aliens dropping down from the sky and photograph them. Meanwhile, the Japan Self Defense Force tries to fight off the invaders from the alien Empire. Oh my goodness. This comic was awesome.

Another accidental read (someone else in the house was reading this one and I picked it up). I found myself enjoying it. An interesting story, perhaps a little less developed than it could be for a manga series, I see that a lot of people will not only enjoy the characters, but the story as well. A fun read.
