From a hissing snake to a hungry tiger, children will shiver with delight when they touch these "scary things" in this tactile board book. Just the right size for small children, these books feature a different dazzling element to touch on each page. Full color. Six leaves.

I found this book and was immediately drawn to touch the cover. The body of the spider, and the bodies of the characters of the book are all made of felt. I feel that this aspect would be intriguing to my first grade classroom. The children will be drawn to the sensory aspects of this book, and will want to read or look or feel the book on their own time at the classroom library. This book is very small, and is full of "scary" things such as spiders. The back page will catch my students off guard; I found it quite funny! Overall, I found this a nice book for very young children, and I plan on including it in my classroom library. It is very fitting for Halloween season!
