The beginning kept my interest, but around the halfway mark, my interest waned and I started skimming to find the interesting parts.

Early Christie

Not Dame Agatha's best, but she wrote this in the 1920's, when she was just plain Agatha.
The mystery is so-so, but the characters are well drawn. I bought this copy on Kindle and it said the book was illustrated, but it's just different photographs of Miss Christie during her writing years. It's odd to me - in the photographs she looks so bland, as though she didn't have a wicked sense of humor and an amazing imagination! This book features Inspector Battle, not my favorite Christie character and apparently not many others' favorite either. He was only featured in four of her books. Also features a girl called Bundle who was in the previous Battle book which I haven't read. She's fun, more fun than Battle. Read this as an interesting piece of 1920's history. That way of life is gone and it was great to read about.
Miss Christie writes it well.

I read the first part of the book and then checked out the end. Another very complicated Christie plot and I could not get into it. As I could not get into the Chimneys book which was the first one of the series. I guess I like Poirot and Marple books better. I will not rate a classic however! Just need to record that I abandoned it lest I download it again.

The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie
This is a fun read. However, once the book is completed, the more you think about it, the more improbable it all seems.
