About the author

I'd love to say that writing has always been in my blood and I owe my strange imagination to a relative I barely knew, but as far as I know, I'm a one of a kind from my family (in more ways than one!!)

So what do I love to write about? Well, whatever takes my fancy to be quite honest. I'm not one to write for the market - I write for myself, what comes from the voices, sorry - muses, in my head, and what I think are unique twists in this repetitive world.

As a result, you can find me scattered across genres from steamy romance to dark fantasy and horror. My only hesitance at the moment is sci-fi but I'm sure I'll tackle it some day!

Conspiracy theories, the supernatural, and the darker side of human nature fascinate me. I adore mythology and ancient history too, and also (only when I'm feeling intellectual) tend to dip my toes into quantum physics to better understand theories of the supposed impossible.

Another captivating world created by Author C.J. Laurence, which does not disappoint readers. Gamechanger is a romantic thriller introducing readers to the characters of Amelia and Dion, whose paths collide in a whirlwind of danger and desire. Amelia, a woman of remarkable strength and independence has endured unspeakable abuse and terror at the hands of her drug baron husband. Desperate for escape, she takes a drastic measure to free herself of his persecution, and attempts to kill him, only to have her plan foiled as he survives.

Now she is a fugitive, relentlessly pursued by her husband and his henchmen who will stop at nothing to bring her back under his control. Amelia possesses something of great value to him, making her his prime focus. Dion who is employed by Amelia’s husband along with his MC gang move drugs but he becomes disillusioned and annoyed when his boss doesn’t pay up. Fuelled by his resentment he decides to teach his employer and lesson and take out his closest henchmen, the one who has been sent to track Amelia. Their lives collide and sparks fly however trust does not come easily, especially to Amelia, especially when she finds out who Dion works for. Dion wants to protect her and shield her from further harm but can she overcome her trauma, and trust him, and will the couple escape from the grip of her husband?

I do really enjoy C.J.’s storytelling as she weaves together elements of romance, thriller and suspense creating an engaging narrative that keeps readers hooked from beginning to end. The characters are intricately developed and Amelia’s resilience and fearlessness makes her a captivating female protagonist. The chemistry between Amelia and Dion adds energy to the story, and the complexity of the relationships between them and the main antagonist, Amelia’s husband, heightens the stakes and intensifies the emotional connection.

Although this is not one of my personal favourites amongst C.J.’s work, I enjoyed the rollercoaster ride it took me on, and I genuinely admire Amelia’s character. The pacing is good, with a balance between action and moments of intimacy. The dialogue is credible and emotive, and there are no significant issues editorial wise that would bring a reader out of the story.

This book was amazing! I honestly was sad to see it end I wanted more from Amelia and Dion. From the first page this book casts a spell on you and leaves you riveted to your seat waiting for the next page. I really dont want to give too much of the story away because going in blind and getting those blund reactions to every twist and turn is pretty heart pumping. These two definitely have a fight on their hands to get their hea but it us definitely worth it and can I just say those two pups were the best! Loved every second of this book! Definitely a must read!!! You will not be sorry. Can not wait to read more from this author!

Amelia- On the run from her husband with her two dogs. Running from her past and memories are the only thing she is focused on. It isn’t until she is rescued on deaths door, that she realizes she can start believing in hope and a future.

Dion- President of his MC is looking for revenge, when he comes across Amelia. Still suffering from a betrayal that happened 10 years ago, Dion is holding firm that all he needs is his Club. Until he witnesses the fire of the woman before him.

This is a CLEAN romance, with a dark story line. For those that want a happily ever after with a touch of darkness.

You will be captivated from the start. Strong heroen is pregnant by a current and evil man who kidnapped her and made her his. Sje does everything in her nature to escape him and protect her child. She meets Dion along the way who wants to help her and protect her. Will je be able to protect her or will the wrath of her husband endanger everything and everyone she holds dear? Buckle up your in for a bumpy ride!.

What a story this is, it’s very emotional and deals with surviving a bad relationship and trying to find a safe place to land. The two main characters, Amelia and Don, have great chemistry and are both likable characters. There’s a lot of suspense and emotion in the plot as they try to find their HEA. It’s a very well written book.

Amelia's story is a heartbreaker, and her recounting of it to Dion had me in tears at times. What her husband did to her and her sister... he deserved far worse than his fate. Dion, her savior, is so kind and patient with her. Most of all I love her sassy mouth. The story is very dark, filled with past and present suspense. I hope to see this expanded to a series. Fast paced suspense, Mafia , romance.
Amelia and Dion’s story was anything but crazy, dirty,dark, sickening with definitely some drama and humour.
How author put this together? Very intriguing question.
Maybe was a little bit stretched, maybe not.
How she trained the dogs, interesting and believable .
MC taking over Mafia business,not .

This was an interesting biker romance books, it held my attention through the whole stroy! It was very nice to see how trust and love started to build between Dion and Amelia. They have dangerous path before them but he will do everything in his power to keep them safe. Talking about rollercoaster.

Wow

This was a good read. The story line was quite good. I liked Amelia as a character - she addapted and got out of a really bad situation.
