Novella Duo Contains Hold Your Horses with bonus epilogue and Push It Forward.
Hold Your Horses Charlotte thought she was doing the right thing when she decided to go away to college. When graduation comes and she needs to decide if it’s time to go back home and settle down, she worries that she’s not ready yet. Shane has waited four long years for Charlotte, after agreeing to a long-distance relationship because it was the only way to keep her in his life. He can hardly wait for her to come home so they can finally start their life together.
What happens when the girl who is nervous about settling down to small-town life comes home to the guy who is ready to pop the question?
Push It Forward Drake and Alexa had a whirlwind romance in Push the Envelope, falling for each other hard and fast. But their newfound love is tested during summer break when their plans mean time spent apart. When danger comes knocking on Alexa’s door with the return of her ex-boyfriend to town, Drake drops everything to be by her side.
Can Drake convince Alexa that it’s time to push their relationship forward? Or will she allow her fears to hold her back?
I absolutely adore reading - always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.
I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.
When I told my mom that my new year's resolution was to self-publish a book in 2013, she pretty much told me "About time!"
Totally loved every second of these bonus reads. I have sappy tears in my eyes especially after Push it Forward. Rochelle you took me back in time to my own HEA with mine in my heroes wedding song I cross my heart by George Strait. 22 yrs ago this month we fell in love and saw that movie. It became our song. 2 yrs later ..thats 20 yrs ago we danced to it at our wedding Shane and Charlotte were simply adorable. I am so thrilled to have found another author who knows how to truly write "romance".
I found I liked the story with Char and Shane better than the one with Drake and Lex. The one with Drake and Lex was just more of the same with them, while Char and Shane seemed new. I liked the little we got to see with Char in the last book. Her situation sounded a bit iffy, I wasn't sure that Char would go home and that would ruin things with her and Shane. I was glad that Char was able to stand up to the mean girl and that Shane backed her up.
I have to say that I loved both of the novellas in this book. They were both fabulous, and brought me right back in with all of the characters that I love!
Push it Forward is the continuation of Drake and Alexa's story from Push the Envelope. I absolutely adored these two, so I was very excited to get to read more of them. This novella follows Drake and Alexa as they are separated for the summer break. Right after Drake leaves, someone from Alexa's past returns, and that's where things really rev up. This novella is action packed and will have you dying to know what happens. It'll also reestablish your love for Drake and Alexa as a couple. They are truly a great couple to read, and I loved every single word of their story. (And I've got my fingers crossed for more from them!)
Hold Your Horses is a novella that tells the story of Charlotte and Shane who we met in Hit the Wall. I absolutely loved Charlotte and her sense of humor, so I was thrilled to get to read her story. This novella follows Charlotte as she returns home after graduating. She's been in a long distance relationship with Shane for 4 years, and now they're finally together again. But Charlotte is having a little trouble deciding if small town life is really for her. She loves Shane, and their chemistry is off the charts, but she still questions. This novella follows Shane and Charlotte as they come back together. Their relationship is sweet and spicy, and it'll just melt your little heart. I absolutely loved reading their story, and they were a phenomenal addition to this author's works.
Push It Forward - Lil bit more Drake & Alexa. : ) This really is just a quick snippet, a brief glimpse into what Drake & Lexi are up to since PTE. There's some drama going on w/ someone making creepy calls to Alexa while Drake's at Rugby camp. When Drake gets back, he takes care of it - with a little help from a surprise guest cameo. *grin* And the last bit of the story? Well, it's no secret that Drake makes me swoony. LOVE! : )
Hold Your Horses - Charlotte & Shane have some things to work through - well, mostly Charlotte. *grin* I read this one in a different anthology, and it's a nice quick look into their relationship. And Shane may be a little swoon-worthy, as well. ; )
Loved Charlotte a and Shane...having second thoughts after college about moving back to your small hometown to be with the one you love.... Lesson being it doesn't matter where you are as long as you are with the person who has your heart and y'all are in love.
I really am not a novella fan but these were perfect, I needed answers from hints in the previous books and I got them. I also loved catching up with Drake and Lexi again
Loved getting more of these couples. It's always better to get the solid HEA. It was truly happy for them. It's so refreshing to read about non cheating loyal alphas who just love their ladies.
Summer Nights is the 3rd installment of Rochelle Paige's Blythe College series. I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet (double) novella.
The first part of Summer Nights was about Drake and Alexa (from the first installment). It started off with a bang.... literally! ;) I loved the characters and that Drake was brought back because I LOVE his POV.
The second part was Charlotte and Shane. Charlotte is a pip! I wish I could have drinks with her as she would be a hoot to be around. In Summer Nights, she faces the hard truth of what she wants. Her realization was great and it ended perfectly. The author executed this installment with grace, passion and a finesse that was sweet and sexy. The author even threw in " I Cross my Heart" by George Strait which was my wedding song, so I totally melted into putty at that connection as well.
Without a doubt, I would definitely recommend this series to others.
I knew Drake was all Alpha but Daddy Drake ain’t messing around when it comes to Alexa and her safety.
We catch up with these two right as Drake is about to leave for a month long Rugby trip. Shortly after, Alexa starts feeling strange. Like she is being watched, then the calls start and she starts to get worried. Alexa doesn’t want to ruin Drake’s game so she keeps it quiet. Aubrey however is worried for the both of them and tells Drake.
Drake rolls back into town like a boss and shows Alexa why he is her man. It was soooo hot!!! I loved this short catch up and I’m ready for more!
Push It Forward - Quick read with Alexa and Drake from the first book.
Hold Your Horses - Kayley's roommate Charlotte is graduating and heading home to her small town. She's wondering if she really wants to return to small town life though she has no doubts about her love for her high school sweetheart Shane who she has maintained a long distance relationship while she's been at college. Shane's been waiting for his girl to come home so they can start their life together. Super sweet and sexy story, I really liked it.
Push It Forward is an additional story in the relationship of Drake and Alexa from book 1.
Charlotte is a student from the dorm who has been away from her hometown love for 4 years. Upon graduation, she is uncertain about their future. Hold Your Horses is the story of Charlotte & Shane finding their happy-ever-after.
Charlotte is ready to graduate and return home. Now she must decide if her life leads her back to home and Shane. Shane has been taking of the family ranch and waits for his love to return to him so they can start their next chapter if life.
The big question for Charlotte, is her home with Shane? Quite novella and will make your heart warm!
First time of reading Rochelle Paige books, by I am really enjoying them, can't wait to read the rest of this series. Great story and believable. Would recommend it to anyone who wants a good read.

Push It Forward
If you read Push The Envelope and curious about what happened to Drake and Alexa, then you get the continuation of their steamy and unforgettable love for each other. These two have rendered me almost speechless. The love they have for each other isn't something you can just ignore. True love is hard to find and when they both found it in each other, they grabbed and held on to it. Something I would want to go back and read again. I just couldn't get enough of the bad boy who had slept with anything that had two legs. BUT it changes when they both fell in love with each other. No matter how much distance you put, the bond they have for each other is unbreakable. I think Drake and Alexa is my most favorite in the Blythe College series right now. I can't wait to read the rest.
Hold Your Horses
Distance has nothing to do with loving someone. Charlotte decided to pack up and leave to go to college and have a long distance relationship with Shane. I love how the love they had for each other was so strong that they both willing to do what's best for their future. Shane lets Charlotte pursue her dreams by finishing college and not hold her back. Now that she's done with college after a few years of being together with miles away from each other, they are ready to have their future together and inseparable.
I loved both of these stories and I can't have enough, so I'm going to the next book of the Blythe College Series. If you love romance and hot with such steamy scene I couldn't get enough of, then you'd have to read the series. Although these could be read as a standalone, it would be better to understand and not get lost with the characters if you read them in order. I want more Rochelle Paige. (winks)
What can I say about this novella hmmmm?.. It's simply amazing how Rochelle Paige was able to wrap up Drake and Alexa's story. This to are so disgustingly adorable and were totally made for one another. You see it with how they act towards one another no matter what they are doing. You met them first in Push the Envelope the first book of the Blythe College Series. This book just brings back someone from Alexa's past and if you read the first book you will know who that someone is. Of course Drake being the protective alpha male he is won't let anything happen to Alexa on his watch. I mean seriously this guy is totally swoon worthy. I seriously recommend this entire series!!!! HAPPY READING!!!!
Hold your Horses
This novella is about Charlotte and Shane. You meet Charlotte in the second book of the series Hit the Wall as Kaylie's best friend and you also hear about Shane in the same book. These two are perfect for each other and spoiler if you haven't read the second book, what woman wouldn't want a guy who will stay with her in a long distance relationship and not mess it up. Shane is sweet, patient, romantic, and definitely swoon worthy. Charlotte is fierce, protective, and loving. This novella tells you their story after graduation happens and it couldn't have been more perfect for them. I love this series and you will too. I highly recommend it! HAPPY READING!!!
Push it Forward, the continuation of Drake and Alexa's story, is very hot, but it reaffirms Drake's dedication to Alexa when he learns that her ex-boyfriend is in town harassing her. He sets up a plan to deal with him, and in the end, their relationship moves forward. I loved getting a chance to read more about Alexa and Drake.
Hold Your Horses is Charlotte, Kaylie's roommate from Hit the Wall, and she graduates and returns home to a small town. She doesn't know if she wants to go back to the small town that made her feel unwanted, but she realizes that if she loves Shane, anywhere is home.
Summer Nights gives us two short stories. In the first story, we catch up with Alexa and Drake. I always like to know what happened next, so I was ok with this bit, but the second story, was the one that won me over. In Hold Your Horses, we finally get to have Charlotte and Shane in the same state. As with all the Blythe College men, he is sort of a caveman, but as with all the Blythe men, he has a soft spot for his woman and goes all out to make sure she is happy and feels loved. Shane and Charlotte's story was too adorable and left me with a sappy smile.
Brad was crazy. Yeah right he cam to appologize and got scared. He just wasn't expecting Drake to be there and protect his girl. I was disappointed in Lex though for not opening up to him.
Char and Shane, totally HOT... No friendship stands before his love. I totally laughed out loud at the shot gun wedding suggestion.
3.5 stars. Cute story. I like the hero and heroine and their devotion to each other-this is something you don't see in real life or in fiction. I felt like I was coming into this story on the tail end of it, though. I'll admit I'm not a fan of the novella, but it's a fine way to tell a short story.
