Looked back to see that I first read this Eventing series eight years ago. Wow.. time flew. Always love a book where it’s obvious that the writer knows their subject matter and Natalie knows horses, eventing and Florida. I love this entire series and got so caught up in reading and posting about it on TikTok that I forgot to do reviews on my favorite Goodreads. As I am waiting for the last two books in the series to be rereleased I will do a general recap.
Jules.., she’s thorny and has a chip on her shoulder the size of a cross country log. She loves her horses and her dog and her little ten acre training barn and even her old trailer with the saggy floor and the even saggier couch. Anyone who had worked as hard as she has can feel that and forgive her the prickly way she treats people. The working for it vs the ones it’s handed to. Becky.., oh we love to hate her.., dang I wanted her to have any other name but my own. Lacey.., we cheer her on cause we love how scrappy and tough she is Sweet Pete.., oh that eyebrow and that lazy smile.., in breeches and boots. ❤️
All the books in this series are wonderful.., don’t miss any of them.
I really enjoyed this book!! Sadly, I read it during the worst time of the year, where I was so busy and had too much reading slump that it took me a few months to finish. It’s so crazy to see Jules evolve, especially from where she began in the prequel, Bold, and the first book, Ambition. The character development in this series is truly amazing, and although I miss “Book One Jules” from time to time, I cannot express how happy I get when she makes good choices that she definitely wouldn’t have done earlier in the series!
I felt like I couldn’t really get into the book until the last 25% of it, so thats the only reason why this is 4 stars instead of 5. But again, that could be because I was so unmotivated to read anything at the time!!
When Jules ended up being pregnant, I seriously think that was the biggest surprise of the whole entire book, probably even the whole series! Imagining Jules as a mother is definitely going to be keeping me up at night! I can’t tell if she will be good at that or not!? And Pete wasn’t in this story as much, which of course made me sad since I really like him, but he proposed to Jules and that is enough for me!! Finally, Evan. I am over the moon after how he ended in this book! It was the perfect way to get revenge on all the horrible things he’s done and I couldn’t have asked for a better conclusion to his story. If he’s in the final book, I’m excited to see what will happen then!
I love how all of the books in The Eventing Series end! They don’t have cliff-hangers, but still leave you guessing for the next installment! I was pushing through the last few chapters and then I had to stop and take a moment to grieve because I realized that this series is coming to an end. I don’t know what is to come for “Home”, but I am not prepared anymore!! I’ve grown so much, right along with the characters and I’m already planning on rereading this series (even though I own 17 books that I need to read first)! If you made it to the end of this, I thank you for your time and hope you felt as good about this book as I did!

I've missed Jules and Pete since the last book! Co-op Jules was the best of Jules, in my opinion, so I've been waiting (not particularly) patiently to see what was coming next. I must say, I was wrong, or right? After all, we start this book with co-op Jules who is a FAR different and better Jules than the version we first met in Ocala. (Natalie, Don't you dare let on that I said such a thing. Jules does still have that temper after all). Jules only becomes more of a bada** with this installment. You know who stepped up? Pete did. That is all I will say besides it was about time (yes, my.patience was running short with Pete too but he clawed his way out of the doghouse and made me happy that Natalie is the author, rather then me lol). Enjoy the fun surprises along the way! This is one of my new top N.K. Reinert books. Thank you Natalie!
What a pleasure, to see Prospect out in the world at last! This book was a joy to write, and for most of that, I have my Patreon readers to thank. They really read every chapter and helped this book become its best self. Thank you to everyone who has helped The Eventing Series get to Book 6 - and I'll see you for Book 7!
This is the sixth installment of the Eventing Series and delves deeper into the personal story of Jules and her role in the co-op horse world. She’s a committed teacher and rider who is trying to do it all. Her carefully constructed world starts to break apart in the beginning of the book when she begins to hint at dropping out of race because she doesn’t have enough time to prepare. Enter her coach, Evan, and his quest to see her succeed and help himself in the process. This book/series is for a true horse lover that is familiar with and intrigued by the horse world. I felt it was quite slow to peek my interest. The action started to pick up for me in the last third of the book. I do love horses and romance, but the book was very difficult for me to dive into and persevere throughout. I would have liked to have more attention grabbing events popping up throughout the story. *Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review!
Jules and company are back again and I could not be more excited! PROSPECT builds on an already exceptional series with a whole new set of challenges. Jules and her Alachua Co-op are in for more than they ever expected. Jules' growth from AMBITION to PROSPECT is amazing and rather inspirational. From wanting to be left alone in her own little corner of the world with just her horses, to fighting for her newfound family, Jules has done a 180 in the best possible way.
I absolutely love the way Natalie ties in characters from her other series. It brings in some refreshing insight for Jules and helps guide her along her ultimate path. I cannot wait to see where Natalie takes the series. February 22, 2022 cannot come fast enough!
I think this was the best Eventing Series book yet. Jules personal growth and journey through life has been amazing to follow. And even though it isn't without it's flaws, Jules family/barn family that has assembled around her is a key to what life is about. An enhancement to her life, not a substitution for her professional goals. The next book will be so very different!
Natalie Keller Reinert has once again taken her readers on a winning ride. Prospect, Book 6 in the Eventing Series shows how much Jules has matured and evolved while she balances her own horses, her students, the Co-Op, a demanding coach, an unexpected setback, and having Pete off in California on what seems to be a journey of self discovery. Jules handled all of the issues that she faced with grace. I was so proud of her in this book.
Natalie Keller Reinert, as always, does a fantastic job of representing life with horses in an incredibly realistic way.
I cannot wait to dive into the next book. I'm so excited for what comes next for our favorite eventing riders based on how this book ended.
Thank you to NetGalley, Flatiron Books, and Natalie Keller Reinert for an eARC of Prospect.
Ugh, I love this series, but this was a low point.
Jules doesn’t actually like teaching children and doesn’t actually like being the head of a co-op, so the fact that this one basically only focuses on that shows me that the author has lost the thread a little bit.
I'm so disappointed by the ending because it sounds like pregnancy was never ever even mentioned as a desire of hers and now her ambitions and goals just go to the background. I love her character development so much and I'll finish the series still. This would've been a 4⭐️ if there hadn't been the thrown in out of the blue and out of character pregnancy trope

Once again Natalie nails the horse world and the complex relationships that are part and parcel in it. Jules and company have continued to grow, Jules especially! I cannot wait to see how things progress in book 7!!
This was my favorite of the series so far. Occasionally, Jules’s thoughts get a bit repetitive for me, but this series has been a fun summer ride; I’ve been away from the horse scene for quite a while now, but these books have brought a lot back for be with a healthy dose of nostalgia.
Evan 😠 Jules 😌 Pete 🥴 Lindsay 🤩 Jordan ☺️ the moms 🙄
This book. Great, the ending felt rushed- I wish there would have been a little more explanation to what was going on instead of the eluding, but I did love the character development and barn stories!
Another very good story. It had been difficult not finishing it in one time. Happy to find Jules again, and what a good story, and the end wow. Looking forward the next one !
This has been one of my favorites of the series. I am eagerly awaiting book 7 and am very curious about what is to come. I was shocked at the end of the book.
Glad I stayed with this series. The main character was so stubborn about her life and horse choices it was making the books annoying. But she is much better now and I really enjoy the horsey stuff.
Great addition to the series! Jules is still Jules... you either love her or tolerate her! love the family of characters and love how the story continues to keep me wanting more!
