Everything was going according to plan until the attack...
This book paints such a vivid picture through every scene, it’s hard not to get caught up in it. The characters were lovable, or dis-likable if they were supposed to be and unlike other stories, there wasn’t a whole lot of plot that I was able to predict, which was exciting. It left me on a cliffhanger, so there better be a sequel!
A very digestable read that throws you straight into the action while also illustrating details and plot elements effectively! While the character arcs are engaging for the reader, I cannot help but feel as some arcs, namely one, could have used a little more room to breathe. Luckily, I trust Charlotte Marie to explore that more in future entries. Charlotte establishes herself as an author with an expansive imagination and the technical prowess needed to see it to paper. I found myself constantly delighted at her ability to create and control the environment she writes as if it were real time. Great read! Hoping for more soon!
