Where the Gospel Has Not Yet Been Preached recounts the lives of Sandy and Maisie Sutherland who left their homeland in Scotland to live and work in an isolated part of the Philippines. Sandy's adventures took him trekking over mountains, through jungles and rivers. The book describes their life in the jungles of Palawan with two little ones during the Japanese occupation and God's miraculous rescue through a US submarine. Sandy and Maisie’s story is a story of intrigue that only God could have crafted. It is a story of two individuals who lived their lives fully committed to serving God. They were pioneers and answered the call to go where the Gospel had not been preached. Their experiences and lives are a testament to the faithfulness of God.
After meeting Craig Sutherland, a friend told me about this book. I enjoyed reading the letters especially. They show a family, spread all across the face of the earth, uniting in one purpose - spreading the Gospel of Christ!
