This is a Very Short Erotica Story, and this is a part of the Happy Hucows series. I am still not completely sure what I just read. I did not know this was part of a series before I picked up this book. This book is so short the plot and characters are not really developed. This book is just one big steamy time, and I just wanted more to it. I do not think this was the book for me. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Okayyyy so this is an erotic hucow novella with milking, ownership (?), farm vibes.. Pure smut pretty much with sweet undertones.

Picked it up on a SYKD, needed a quick read, this was perfect! Say what you will, hucow romances are fascinating to me, and these novellas make me smile

Sometimes hucow erotica is just what I like but this was not for me. There was no real build up to becoming a hucow, I didn't understand who or what the MMC was to the story other than later. I dunno. I think it's just that I've read better. And so this felt disappointing.

I'm okay with no plot books, but this one was lacking too many other things to make it even okay by those standards. The romance seemed thrown in at the end, and nothing before it was ever really explained as far as world building. It just didn't work for me.

As a recent newcomer to the hucow universe, I'm still wrapping my head around its quirks and rituals and this story had me a bit confused! For instance, from what I understand, there’s typically a transformation process a woman undergoes to become a hucow. Clara mentions such a transformation during her time at the farm, yet Lucas seems able to milk her from the start. By their nature, hucow romances are pretty spicy and the spice here is compressed into a short length, so you can expect a lot of steam. Lucas and Clara seemed to prefer the hayloft to their bed, though given the amount of squirting that’s probably for the best. I enjoyed the comforting sense of peace and belonging that Clara finds at the farm, though I was surprised by the absence of other hucows—although Lucas mentions that there are other Masters around, they never seem to encounter any of them. In short, this was a quick, tantalizing escape into hucow romance, with one very satisfied hucow by the end!
