USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.
Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.
In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,
Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.
Sooo gooood. I’m in love with this one, Stephanie. I always enjoy an ending with everything working out for the better.
And karma… YAS! I’m happy the baddies got what they deserved, because it would have killed the whole series for me had that wanker gotten away with… being a wanker!
The part with Josie and her mom talking about their relationship made me shed a tear. Such a great moment.
My hope through all of this final book was that Josie and Sawyer would stay together somehow and that she would stay in Irving. Dreams sometimes come true. 🪄 💫
I don’t think Bond is capable of writing anything but an outstanding story. This was no exception.
Stephanie, you should charge $1.99 per book. It isn’t much, yet at the same time it adds up. Maybe just allow one of your 6-part series available free on Kindle Unlimited so that readers can get a taste of how incredible your tales are. The rest you should charge.
So, ya, although Elevator Girl was really great, this is now my favorite by Bond.
My next read is by Tonya Kappes from her Campers & Criminals Cozy Mystery series. It’s Book 35, “Moonlight, Marshmallows, & Manslaughter.”
See you in my next review. Deuces to your cabooses! ~ themoodyredhead ✨♥️✨
I couldn't wait for this book to release. A whole month, I anticipated getting my hands and eyes on it to finish this serial. Was it worth the wait you ask? Hell ya, it was!!! So many questions were answered, problems solved, new relationships started and love exchanged. I couldn't have asked for a better ending because this one ended... perfectly.
I'm glad everything worked out and she gets her happy ending. Was also glad to know what happened with Rose. But we were left not knowing what happened to Serena.
There were several storylines that weren’t wrapped up as nicely as I would have liked. Was Sawyer a warlock? Is Magic real? Was Curtis cursed? Was Rose really dead? What happened to Serena? And I know parents can’t always be held accountable for the actions of their children but why we inviting Tilda to Christmas?
And I wasn’t crazy about the Jack Terry storyline. He can’t move on? He’s getting super choked up all the time? It felt very out of character and weird given the timeline and his personality up until now.

You know you're going to be in for a difficult day when a couple of people try to bury you alive in an open grave. On the plus side, she does find out who murdered Wayne.
Then there are the people for vandalized the graveyard that are dealt with and the mystery of just what happened to Rose's casket and body looks like it will be solved. Curtis is also no having the best time of his life, either.
There's a quote from Reverend Abernathy that I really, really liked:
'That's what matters-not where we worship, but how we carry that worship into the world through our actions, our understanding, our love.'
Then there's also the involved of a group that will help on graveyards, some major news from Sawyer, a big decision on the closing bookstore and an even bigger decision on the part of Josephine.
An absolute top-notch conclusion to a really good series.
The characters & writing draw you in like a warn blanket on a cold Winters night. I LOVE Stephanie's serials. They are riveting & hard to put down! This one made me pause in the beginning as I could not figure out where it was going. That, did not last long. The storyline flows effortlessly and the characters, both 2-legged & 4, draw you in. I really enjoyed how the characters' strengths and doubts were handled. The romantic reader as well as those who are into the unexplained will thoroughly enjoy this book.
This month’s entries are a fabulous sewing together of all the individual treads that got pulled starting on July 1. I especially loved the resolution of the relationship with her mother. And the very end. So fabulous what Josephine will do next.
I can’t wait till July 1 next year when Stephanie starts another 6 month serial book. She has a way of making them so very special. Will she pick up the story of Serena’s death and Terry the cop?
This by far was favorite 6 part series from Stephanie Bond. It deal with grief, disappointment and the ability to move on and grow from difficult situations. My favorite line from the book is, "Our task is not to judge the path others take to find meaning, but to ensure our own path leads us toward love, toward healing, toward grace." So revelant in today's world climate.
Stephanie Bond does it again with an excellent wrap up of the GRAVEYARD GIRL!! When we ended part 5 Josephine was being buried alive in Rose's empty grave! I won't tell you anything more except to say Stephanie tied up every loose end in a neat big red Christmas bow! I was thrilled with the way everything happened in the end and I am sure you will be too. If you haven't read this enjoyable series please start at the beginning, you won't be able to put it down till the unexpected ending.
Jo learned a few valuable lessons. One being that you don't mess with magic that you don't reapply understand. The main one being that life can be magic without spells if you are open to it.
However, I do want to know what happened to Chris's hair.
Thank you, Stephanie, for the plug for Wreaths Across America. A wonderful organization that I have been privileged to support.
As Always Stephanie Bond delivers! I waited until all 6 were out and bought them so I could read them all together. I spent an all-nighter last night reading all 6. Very much enjoyed this little series. So far I've read Coma Girl, Factory Girl and of course a buch of her other books. Stephanies has a knack for entwining romance and mystery with just enough breath holding suspense to keep you reading until the wee hours of the morning. Love her books. I read the romances, too.
This review is about the entire 6 part novella format series. I binged this in a day thru Kindle Unlimited. This was the perfect "palate cleanser" I needed after finishing a very deep emotional read. This was fun, easy to read with quirky characters. Small town secrets, old houses, graveyard, wiccans, murder, missing body, a goat named"Satan", curse the old boyfriend, and hot new guy. What more could you ask for?
All the emotions are there; fear, betrayal, anguish, and sadness. Eventually replaced by acceptance, friendship strength, and love. Our lives are what we make of them and accept our place in the world. Family, community, and being a part of something bigger than ourselves. And finding faith, wisdom, and love in very unexpected places. Thank you, Stephanie, for the gift of this story.
Well, that was worth the wait. Perfect ending to a great series. I have read all of Stephanie Bond’s serial novellas while recuperating from surgery and they have been fantastic. True love, magic/magical realism, plot twists galore - what’s not to love with the great characters, pacing, plotting, and overall production that Bond provides?!
Love this little series. I wish there was a follow up of 6 months after. The story is good the ending was good. I really enjoyed it. Wish it didn't have to end. The author tied up loose ends . Though I wonder how grave yard girls future turns out.
As all works from Stephanie Bond, the "Graveyard Girl" series is a delightful read. Never predictable, but rolling to an enjoyable finish. Enough spice to season the work well, but not too much to burn the taste. Bond's books are always well anticipated and well appreciated. Hopefully the next one will not be far away.
When I first started this series I was so attached to the characters it seemed like forever for the next adventure Every single adventure was truly enjoyable and the excitement of looking forward to the next book had me thinking of all sorts of ideas for each character. Thang You Stephanie Bond
FS: "More dirt rained down as I pressed against the earthen floor of the grave, my fingers scrabbling at the loose soil."
LS: "But for now, there was just this—the man I loved, the home I'd found, and all the magic still to come. Even if that magic revolved around a graveyard. Especially then."
This series is so much fun. I love the ending and am hoping that it could actually be added to in another series. I feel that Josephine’s new life in Alabama can be explored some more. This is just me not wanting it to end. Again, really great series, a must read. You’ll fall in love with the characters.
I finished part 6 in a couple hours. I had to know the ending which was very satisfying. Actually the ending I wanted. Stephanie Bond keeps writing the best serials, full of surprises, humor, suspense, mystery and, of course, love. I recommend all of her serials. Can’t wait for the next one.
I've read all of Bond's serials. I've probably said this before, but this one is my favorite. I related to Josephine so much and we have much in common, though I'm not sure I could live in Irving forever, but maybe... Not gonna lie, I cried a lot with this one. I look forward to these books every year and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us in 2025.
First time reading this author, was pleased with all of the books in series. Big city girl running from issues , ending up in a small town and ending up taking care of abandoned home, farm and graveyard. Lots of twists, which’s,paranormal, reflecting on life, new friends and family..great book, enjoyed the journey and great ending..please read
I loved how things came together in this last book of the daily serial Graveyard Girl. I was on the edge of my seat, laughed, and cried. Very satisfying ending to a sometimes creepy, scary daily serial.
Love these 6 part books but wish they were every 2 weeks or so instead of a month apart. Bing read some of her other series books. Elevator Girl is my all time favorite. Thanks so much for writing these. They brighten up the month.
As always Bond ties everything together to finish this serial. I'm not sure what it is but I love her serials and hope she continues. Graveyard Girl has just enough mystery, love, humor, and realism to keep the reader invested in the story.
While this book was interesting and unusual, it wasn't as compelling as most of her other serials. This book seemed to drag on. The plot was too simple. The pace was too slow. It was different.
Another spell binding read. she keeps you entertained & holds you in suspense the whole way through. can’t wait for the next serial book in July of 2025!
Stephanie never disappoints. Graveyard Girl was very entertaining. Josephine’s Mom was an interesting character. Is Sawyer a warlock? Is he a Whisper? Did I read so fast I missed this? I hope more to follow with Jack and the tragedy of Serena.
