Something to Talk About

Rate this book
The moment Asher Fontaine’s gaze met hers, something deep within him stirred—something he hadn’t felt in years.

She wasn’t the kind of woman who needed him. She wasn’t the kind of woman who needed anyone, it seemed.

Lennon doesn’t need a man like him—someone who keeps his distance, hiding behind his career and a past of his own. But the more he watches her, the more he craves the warmth she unknowingly offers.

What he isn’t expecting is the pull he has toward her sweet, soft smiles she offers and the way she moves with a quiet strength, despite the sadness behind her eyes.

And now, for the first time in a long time, Asher’s wondering if he might be willing to change his ways.

Imagine the sweetest characters ever, and this book is them finding their HEA with each other with some really good smut! I loved how easy Something to Talk About was to read, and it was a great starting point for us to start to get to know the big found family Asher has with his rag tag group of 9 friends(I hope I got that number right lol).

If you’ve read Snowed in With the Cowboy you’ll have already met Lennie, and in her story she stole my heart with how amazing she is. She basically had Asher hooked the second he saw her, and who could blame him. These two were so cute and steamy others I I couldn’t get enough of them. Their story was great, quick, and I really enjoyed seeing Momma and Papa Johnson more in the beginning because they love collecting new kids to love on. Overall this was just a very enjoyable read, and I am ecstatic for Kennedy’s book.

Lennie's sister Clementine along with the whole Johnson crew come to help. Lennie notices the neighbor next door, Asher. Asher's just come off a long shift at the fire department when he sees someone's moving in next door. Asher gets a call from his sister Kennedy His Valentine who asks him if he'll pick up her daughter from school. After Asher has a good night sleep it's time to pick up his niece, he takes her to the store, they buy a few things. An enjoyable start to a new series staged in a small town in Florida. We get a brief background on Asher and his group of men pals as well as Lennon’s past. After her disastrous marriage, Lennon cannot believe her luck when she inherits a home from an aunt. When Asher sees his new neighbor, he knows she is it for him. Loved how tender he was as she worked through her past trauma and how all rallied around her. Looking forward to more in this series.

She wasn't interested in finding a man any more than he was in finding a woman.

The Sinclair sisters, Lennon, "Lennie," and her younger sister, Clementine, "Minnie," basically raised themselves. As soon as she was eighteen, Lennie adopted nine-year-old Minnie to keep them together. Lennie had been married until her husband, Zach, decided she was defective because she couldn't pop out the baby they wanted to have. The doctors had told them that because of her age, and after being on the pill for almost twenty years, it could be difficult. Finally they had an explosive argument. He blamed her for everything, from their too-small house to no baby. Finally, he called her defective and a failure. That was it; she left that night. He never cared enough to even try to speak to or see her after she left. She returned later to gather her belongings and filed for divorce. Now at thirty-five, she's divorced, in debt, and not even sure if she's going to be able to pay her rent. After the fiasco with Zach, she has zero interest in ever finding a man again.

Then there's a knock at the door. A woman from a law firm is standing there. She's been looking for Lennie for some time, but with the divorce, ruined credit, returning to her maiden name, and having to resort to a burner phone, she's been hard to find. It seems she had a long-lost aunt, Estelle Sinclair. She's left her home in Whispering Oaks, Florida, to Lennie. Apparently, Aunt Estelle knew nothing of her much younger niece, Clementine.

Minnie is soon to be married to Clay Garcia, who's a wonderful man in his own right. She also will be marrying into the Johnson family, who have claimed Clay, their sons' friend, as their own. The Johnsons are the type of family she and Lennie had dreamed of having when they were young. The Johnson clan adds both Minnie and Lennie to the fold. Lennie wants to share the house with Minnie, but she wants no part of it. She, Clay, and their extended family are helping Lennie with her move.

Asher Fontaine lives next door to Estelle's house. It's been empty since she moved to a care facility. She had a cleaning service come in regularly and arranged for lawn care. He's coming off a ninety-plus hour shift at the firehouse, where he's a Captain, when he comes home to find a beautiful woman moving into Estelle's house. He didn't even know it was up for rent or sale. He doesn't know her name or if she's married, but he can see himself spending the rest of his life with her. He hasn't paid attention to women since ten years ago on the night he planned to propose to his girlfriend. That's when he discovered that she and his best friend were having an affair. But first he needs sleep...

Estelle had left Lennie some money, but the house had sat empty so long. It was costly to get utilities turned on, repair the wiring damage the squirrels had done, and repair the holes in the walls left by the electricians. Momma Catherine and Poppa Russell have decided to stay and help Lennie make needed repairs on the house before they take a vacation. They sent everyone else home. They told Lennie that they've helped all their other family members; she's family now, and they will be helping. In a short time, Momma Catherine and Poppa Russell have done more to help the sisters than their birth parents ever did.

As many firemen do, Asher has another job. He and eight of his friends all work at Jagged Edge Construction, which is owned by one of them. Currently, all of them are single, but that may be changing. One thing is certain: any spouse will immediately gain eight friends, very provocative friends.

Although both Lennie and Asher swore they'd never get involved in love ever again, some things are just meant to be.

Get comfortable you won’t be putting it down until the last page has been turned. Lennie raised her little sister the minute she turned eighteen being married but her husband left her when she couldn’t have the baby, he wanted due to her age and being on the pill for a so long walking out calling her defective a failure she left that night filing for divorce a little later walking away with debt and little interest in men. She is found by a attorney who informs her that her aunt left her a home in Whispering Oaks, FL her sister is getting married to a one of the Johnson boys and that family welcomes them in as if they are and have always been a part of their family they offer to help her move into the house that their aunt left them. Asher sexy as all get out neighbor to her aunt arrives home to a beautiful women moving into the Estelle’s house he didn’t know the home had been rented our or sold but he knew the women who moved in was meant to be his and he has showed in interest in a women since he was hurt by the women he was going to propose to was found cheating on him with his best friend but this women wok something up in him. After the house gets fixed up by the Johnsons family who by the way have treated the sisters like family more than their own parents considering they have been taking care of themselves since Lennie have been old enough now that the house is fixed up Asher and his friends work in construction they are all alpha males he has no problem with letting her know his intentions he is there when she needs help they can’t ignore the magnetic pull between them and the harder they try the stronger the pull but is it enough for these two to get pas their trust issues, will they see the second chance they are being granted, will they be honest with each other about their feelings, and have they found happiness with each other along way?

Tory really hit this one out of the park!!!

She managed to make Asher (MMC) super sweet and nice as well as growly and perfectly dirty in the bedroom. Protective but not smothering. Huge but gentle and cuddly.

Lennon (Lennie) (FMC) is amazing…strong, caring, empathic, and unfortunately as often is the case IRL for those who nurture and care for others, life has not been kind…deadbeat parents leaving her with a 9 year old sister to care for at 18y.o, then a verbally abusive husband. We meet her just as she’s hitting bottom, the divorce has just been finalized and she’s feeling like a failure, she’s alone and she left the marriage with almost nothing. Through a stroke of new luck an estranged great aunt she didn’t know of has left her a home in Whispering Oaks Florida. Her sister is grown up and has met a man of her own who has brought them both a wonderful, supportive found family.

Lennie embarks on a new adventure, moving with the help of her new family via her sister. She finds a new job, in a new town, with a new (to her) bungalow. Enter Asher, her hunky giant of a new neighbor, who falls at first site…

Can Lennie trust again?

This is an absolutely beautiful, sweet, uplifting, filthy(in the very best way😉🥰🌶️🤗), very well written, instalove romance with a feisty (sometimes babbling) heroine and a hunky giant cinnamon roll hero that comes with 8 best friends who are as welcoming and supportive as Asher is.

I loved how Tory included dialogue about Lennie seeing and working with a therapist to work through her trauma. I love the transparency there, and also how supportive Asher was about this in particular.

Definitely made it into my Fav Romance pile🥰🥰🥰.

This book is a keeper! I loved the Asher and Lennon. They both have big, generous hearts that have been stomped on by an ex, so they are wary of love and relationships. Family is important to both of them and supporting their sibling has always been a priority. Lennon who is recently divorced, has just inherited the house next door to Asher from an aunt she and her sister had never known existed. She is starting over in a new town, new home and new job. The attraction between Asher and Lennon is instant, but they make the assumption the other isn’t available after of seeing the other being affectionate with someone else. Their first true face to face meeting is a tad embarrassing for Lennon but serves to highlight the incredibly hot chemistry between them and gives them each the much needed information that the other is single. Neither expected the very intense pull toward the other or the deepening awareness that they want more than friendship between them.

I loved their instant attraction and connection, as well as the way they open their hearts to the possibility of love again. I also love that Asher and Lennon both have friends who have become an extended family that offers unconditional support, assistance and encouragement when needed. Each found family is happy to welcome Asher or Lennon into the fold. I especially appreciate the inclusion of familiar characters from previous books by this author. Lennon and Asher have found their happily ever after and now I can’t wait to read the stories of his eight friends, his found family.

I am happy to recommend this heartwarming book.

I really enjoyed this one! This book can be read as a standalone but I was definitely happy and excited to get Lennon's story as she is Minnie's sister. This one is starting off a new series though in a small town in Florida. I loved getting to Asher and meeting his group of friends as well. Lennon inherits the house next door to Asher from an Aunt that she didn't know she had and decides to move there and start over. Asher and Lennon are drawn to each other from the beginning. I really enjoyed the way that Asher was with Lennon. It didn't take him long to figure out that there was something serious between them, he knew pretty much with just one look and conversation, but he was willing to take things a little slower and give her some time to settle in. He was all about what worked for Lennon but he quickly made his intent known which absolutely worked for me. I thought the story flowed well and held my attention the entire time. Lennon is dealing with some repercussions from her failed marriage and working on and through some of the ideas and blame that her ex put on her. I loved how solid Asher was for Lennon and Asher and Lennon become solid very quickly. He is definitely an alpha male, in the best of ways and I thought that carried through well the entire time. This one felt like a quicker read for me as I was easily pulled in and engaged from the beginning all the way to the end. I loved the little glimpses that we got of the Johnson's, extra bonus if you've read that series. I am very excited for Asher's sister's story and am happy that it is next.

I would say WOW but that really doesn’t cover how good this story is. Tory does an excellent job of totally nailing a good guy’s point of view. And this was an interesting book that addresses a huge part of a marriage/relationships and how some deal with it.

I absolutely loved the way Asher stepped up and said there are other ways to solve the “problem” but never once waivered from his absolute love of Lennon. And Lennon, showing strength by telling him the one thing she was sure would drive them apart but feeling she had to tell him to be honest showed amazing strength of character.

It’s an amazing book that touches the heart of an issue that affects many relationships/ marriages and does it very well. If you’ve been through it, you can definitely get the emotions it evokes and the stress it can put on a relationship.

I love Asher interaction with Lennon, the absolutely complete love and desire for her and that his only wish is she is happy, and that he has many years to continue to show her just how much he loves her in every way possible. But this is not to say Lennon does not show the same thing to Asher, she is an amazingly refreshing no-games girl and wants him to know everything about her and her needs. And she does a wonderful job vocalizing her wants and needs (love that part it's fun to be on the receiving side sometimes.)

I can only say this is an absolutely wonderful beginning to a book series. I thought the Johnson brother’s series was fantastic, this one looks to be somehow even better

Lennon ask Claire has had a crap life first with her useless addict parents through to her useless mentally abusive and as of now, ex husband. The only bright spot is her younger (by 7 years) sister Minnie. Lennon has been taking care of her since she was born and at 18 when their parents died Lennon adopted Minnie to keep her safe and out of the system. When she didn’t get pregnant after a year of trying her ex told her it was all her fault and she was defective causing a big fight where she left him, going back a few days later to grab her clothes and what few personal things she had. 6 months later on the day their divorce is final and she’s wallowing alone there’s a knock at her door and a lawyer tells her she has inherited a home in Whispering Oaks and some money from an aunt she never knew existed. So she moves to the new house and with the help of Minnie, her man and the “family” that have embraced Minnie and Lennon as their own once Minnie and Clay got together she gets her new start. Asher Fontaine has been single for a long time since he caught his girlfriend and then friend in his bed when he came home from his shift at the firehouse early. When he sees his new neighbor he knows instantly he’s gonna marry her but he doesn’t want to scare her off so he starts slow letting her know he’s interested and telling her she will set the pace. She feels the connection and slow doesn’t last long with these two.

I’ve been excited to read Lennon’s book since getting to know her in her sister Minnie’s book “Snowed in with the Cowboy”. She was always overly protective, and I wanted to know what made her the way she was with Minnie. Her story was a heartbreaking one, she had so much on her shoulders from a young age, and she did it all without complaint. Then her horrible ex husband brought her down even further. Asher was the perfect guy for her after everything she’d been through. He was stable, family focused, calm and so supportive. She didn’t need anyone to fix her, she just needed someone to support her and cheer her on while she fixed herself. And that was Asher, the protective firefighter who loved hard. I adored these two together and as individuals, and I really like how it was insta lust for both, but it had a realistic feeling timeline to the story. They were both all in, but they built themselves up in the intimacy department. It was still super steamy, but they worked their way up to full intimacy. Neither one let their pasts define them or hold them back from each other, but also worked through the pasts together. I can’t wait to read about all the guys too, this seems like an amazing group of men. No cheating or OM/OW drama, divorced FMC and scarred by love MMC, he fell first, HEA and an epilogue in the future. Can’t wait to read Trent and Kenndy’s book. I was hoping they’d get together after their interactions in this one!

What a fantastic start to the new series, Undercover Lovers. Ms. Baker has given us a well written storyline with wonderful characters. Lennon has finally had enough and leaves her emotionally draining marriage. She is on her own and struggling until she gets the shock of a lifetime. An Aunt she never knew about has died and left her a home. Lennon has alway taken care of others and put herself last but she has decided this is a sign and just what she needs to start over. So she moves across the country to Whispering Oaks, Florida with the help of her little sister and their family friends the Johnsons.

The house needs work, her life is a bit chaotic but Lennon is excited to start over. She may never trust again or have a relationship again, after all the emotional damage she’s been through, but she sure likes the view of her hunking next door neighbor, Asher. Asher is a firefighter/construction business owner with his highschool buddies. Asher takes one look at Lennon and his cold heart is instantly heating up. Can these two somehow ease each other’s past while possibly starting something of their own?

Outstanding 2nd chance for love that I highly recommend. As for me, I can’t wait to see what happens next in the town of Whispering Oaks and the men who have bonded together since high school.

2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.

There is a group of nine men who grew up together in Whispering Oaks. They are all living back in town. Together, the own Jagged Edge Construction even though Jagger started the business and heads up all projects.

Lennon Sinclair just got divorced. Her ex-husband, Zach blamed her for everything and said hurtful things about her. When he blamed her when she could not get pregnant when they started trying, she left. She made sure to take back her maiden name when they got divorced. She is renting a small two bedroom house when a lawyer appears on her doorstep. An Aunt Estelle, that they did not know they had, passed away and left Lennon everything including a house in Whispering Oaks. Her sister Minnie convinces her to move to Whispering Oaks and start over. She gets a job in a doctor’s office.

Asher Fontaine is a firefighter. When he pulls into his driveway after pulling a 96 hour shift, he is immediately thrown off by the stunning woman he sees next door. Estelle’s place has been vacant for a year. Estelle was in assisted living for awhile. Asher wants to get to know the new neighbor.

It was fun seeing the Johnson family make an appearance in this book plus Minnie being there for Lennie. Asher is a good guy and I can’t wait until we meet more of his friends.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the first book in the Undercover Lovers series. In this book, we have Lennon's story. Lennon is the sister of Minnie from Snowed in with the Cowboy. Lennon has recently divorced her husband and is left with nothing when she learns she had an aunt from Florida die and leave her a house and a small amount of money. Lennon decides to move and start over and with the help of the Johnsons and her new brother in law, she moves into her new home. Asher is Lennon's new neighbour and works at the fire station as a fireman. Asher is very close to his sister and helps raise her daughter. When Asher sees Lennon, he knows she is going to be his. Asher is close to his group of friends and when he learns Lennon is going to work for one of his friends, he knows he has to tell them she is going to be his. Lennon sees Asher with his niece and thinks he is married, but when she learns he isn't, she decides to try her luck again and see if he is interested in her. I really liked this story, Lennon deserved a man who would treat her right and Asher was him. Asher was protective of Lennon and made her feel like she was beautiful and loved. I loved their story. It was also good to see others from prior books. Another good one.

Fireman, small town, instalust, followed immediately by instalove, a handsome neighbor who swoops in and fixes all the little things around your house and all the big things in your heart, and it’s smokin hot? Obviously, Tory Baker is workin her magic again and as usual it’s smutty, swoony goodness with a sexy guy who’s heart is huge (among other things), who’s sincere and selfless to a fault, and who takes one look at his hot new neighbor, claims her and proceeds to steal her heart and yours faster than you can get through chapter two, in a read that’s all heart, has buckets of charm, and is totally fantastic.
Asher and Lennon are such a cute couple! He’s steady, sweet, and nothing fazes him and she’s an adorable over sharer, hardworking, and so strong. Their chemistry is dynamite, they have that ease between them where it feels like forever not a week, just love their whole romance and how supportive of each other they are. It’s a perfect start to a new series and I’m so looking forward to getting my hands on the rest of it because Asher’s friends are an overbearing, nosy, riot in this one and I’m guessing that’s going to make all their romances so much fun.

Although this is kind of a crossover and not part of the same series, this book follows Snowed In With The Cowboy in which that FMC, Minnie (or Clementine)—Clay Garcia’s woman—was the sister of Lennon, our FMC.

Broke and feeling broken, Lennon was at her wit’s end following a recent divorce but, even though this is fiction, the truth still stands…when one door closes, a window is opened… that’s what happened here and it was beautiful! I promise you, it couldn’t have happened to a nicer person!

When Asher, the hunky firefighter, got his first look at his gorgeous new neighbor, feelings he thought he’d buried years before came rushing back. And he wasn’t alone; Lennon had never felt the way Asher made her feel and, after the things she’d been through, she wasn’t willing to sit back and let things just happen any longer.

This was an awesome read! Hot and steamy while still being exceptionally sweet and tender, it grabbed, and KEPT my attention from the very first page to the very last one, all in one sitting; I LOVED it!! 5 stars!!!

I received a copy of this book for free in return for an honest review.

Oh wow, this book definitely lives up to its title and I am a major fan. You meet Lennie when she is coming from a divorce that her ex blamed her for everything. She is just trying to restart her life again when she gets a knock on the door that she didn’t expect at all. She finds out that she has an estranged family member that lived in whispering oaks and she left her house to Lennie. I wanted to hug Lennon so much, luckily she had Asher there who was more than willing to hug her, dry her tears, listen to her ramble, talk things through with her, kiss her and make her dreams come true. I believed in their connection and chemistry, loved getting to know new characters and seeing old ones make an appearance.

Lennon ended up in the place she was always meant to be, she showed her strength in walking away, getting herself straight and making her mental health a priority, I loved that with all she had been through she did not close herself off to what her new town and Asher had to offer her, I also loved the chemistry between them both, it grew until it exploded. Asher never once denied his feelings for Lennon which given what he had been through himself was lovely, he knew just how to be with her and put her first always. I am looking forward to reading more from this new series.

I really enjoyed Asher and Lennon’s story. She’s been put through the ringer in life, putting her life on hold to raise her sister, a bad marriage and divorce. But finally, life throws her a break and that put her on the path to meeting Asher Fontaine. Asher is just what you want in a book boyfriend, he’s a sexy firefighter, a little bit grumpy, a protective brother, a sweet uncle and a good friend to everyone in his orbit.

When they meet, neither of them are looking for love but the connection is undeniable and jumps off the page.

One of the things I really appreciated about this story was how adult they both were about the issues in their lives, from her big issue to the reason they were both reticent about getting into new relationships. He’s accepting and protective, but he knows when to let Lennon handle her own life. And the rest of the guys? I love how willing they are to jump in to help her just because she’s important to Asher.

This was a fun story. It was sweet and really steamy in some places, and a really good start to a new series.

She inherited a house from a distant relative, which was perfect timing because she was looking to start over after a divorce. He is the next door neighbor, local fire captain and construction company owner and hot as heck. This one is a bit of a slow burn as you get to know the characters individually and learn about their families before they even meet. The author spends a good amount of time on character development. There are also characters in this book that are in other of the author's stories. They can be read as complete stand alones, but if you read them in order you will add layers to the story as you read them. They experience mutual pining when they notice each other but circumstances don't line up for them to engage. He falls first and fast, from the second he sees her he knows she is his. She has been burned by her ex and is wary of trusting, but he is full speed ahead. Of course they get their happily ever after.

Something to Talk about is blazing hot! Lennie is the sweetest, and I love that we are getting her story. Her life has been difficult to say the least, and her drive and determination to choose herself first and love herself is simply stunning. It’s no wonder Asher falls for her on sight. Asher is sultry and sexy and rock solid. True to himself, direct and openly communicative, patient, empathic, and caring—with a deliciously dirty mouth—Asher is an amazing match for Lennie. I love how author Tory Baker builds these two up and crafts their story. Their chemistry is off the charts and their uninhibited banter and physical connection is filthy hot sexiness!

The tidbits of the Rowdy Johnson brothers and their extended family are awesome, and the sneak peeks at the men in Asher’s friend circle are tantalizing. The plot and character development really show us who these two are and how well they complement each other. I loved this book from start to finish!

Asher & Lennon are two of the sweetest characters ever and I love dreading their journey. We briefly met Lennon in her sister Minnie’s story “Snowed in with the Cowboy” so I was already a fan of her and ready for her to have her HEA. She inherited a home from her late Aunt Estelle who she had no idea about. Asher just so happens to be a smoking hot local firefighter and her new neighbor.

Asher is super sweet but also growly when need be, especially when it comes to Lennie. He knows what he wants and it’s his gorgeous neighbor. Lennie is strong, independent and the best big sister in the world. I loved the dynamics between the families and friends. Lennie is adopted by the Johnsons and Mama Catherine refuses to not help out. Asher’s sister, niece and all this friends were a great addition to the story.

Their chemistry was insane and all I’m saying is I have a large mirror on order for my house. IYKYK I can’t wait to see the rest of the guys get their stories.

This is book number 1 of the Undercover Lovers series and focuses on Asher and Lennon. Lennon is the older sister of Clementine (from Snowed in with the Cowboy). She had her life turned upside down after her marriage fell apart and left her feeling broken. She had always put others first so when the opportunity to have a fresh start was presented to her, she took it and ran with it. What she wasn’t expecting when she moved to her new house was her neighbor, Asher. Asher knew pretty quickly that Lennon was the one for him and wasted no time going after his woman and making her his. Asher was absolutely perfect for Lennon and showed her everyday how she should be loved and cared for. He healed pieces of her soul that he didn’t break and loved her so fiercely. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Lennon now finds herself at a crossroads as the sister she raised is now happily married while her marriage has ended. When she inherits a house, it gives her the fresh start she needs and a neighbor who will show her that she is perfect just the way she is.

Asher is a firefighter who has a supportive group of friends and is a caring brother and uncle. He wasn’t sure if he was ready to let another woman into his life but from the moment, he sees Lennon he is smitten and once he meets her, he knows that she is meant to be his.

It was wonderful to see that Lennon and her sister are no longer alone as they are embraced by those that are closest to the men they love. Asher is not only swoony but understanding and there was never any doubt that they would find the happiness they both deserve in each other.

This is what I’m taking about! This book has it all, strong and very likeable characters, love at first sight particularly by the MC Asher, an amazing storyline, sweet and spicy moments. . We have Lennon a formidable FMC, she took on the role of a mother as an 18yr old to her sibling Minnie ( from Minnie and Clay fame) she is loving, a wonderful human being but going through the traumas of a nasty marriage then a divorce and Asher a gentle giant firefighter with a heart of gold and a wonderful dirty mouth! Attraction is instant but both have been hurt in the past so are treading carefully until they can’t deny their feelings. A great, steamy journey to a hea. I very much look forward to reading about Asher’s wonderful childhood friends, also it was nice to catch up with some of the Johnson family. A great start to a new series. Top marks from me!!

Tori Baker has a way with words! Especially in the spicy scenes! 🔥 Loved all the cameos of characters from other books as we meet this new couple.

Lennie has a great found family but now she’s doing something for herself: moving to a new town. Her neighbor is firefighter Asher. This story is the definition of slow burn: both individuals are attracted to the other but do the neighborly wave and polite “let me know if you need anything.” Lennie is determined to do things on her own and carries the weight of a failed marriage she believes is her fault. When she is pushed into a corner and needs assistance, Lennie goes to Asher. He is more than willing to help out and those sweet scenes are the start to the actual romance.

I can’t wait to read other stories from Asher’s friend group. 🥰

Holy Hotness!!!

This is the first book in the Undercover Lovers series and is about Lennon (Lennie) and Asher.
Lennie has been having some really bad luck..everything from her marriage falling apart to moving to a new town. The thought is she's gonna focus on her new job, her new town and forget all about men for a long time. She had already lived with one who treated her like garbage..she wanted to just focus on herself... But Asher had different plans, because when he first saw Lennon he knew he had to meet her and he knew she was meant to be his.
Can they figure out their new relationship or will it burn up in flames? Will Lennie figure out she's so much stronger than she thinks?
This book had everything we have come to enjoy when reading a Tory book with some extra spice..

Just as her marriage is finally over Lennon gets news that an aunt, she didn't know has left her some property and money. She is stunned and tells her sister who tells her that this is her fresh start she needed. Lennon and her sister's in laws help get her moved to Whispering Oaks. Asher watches as his new neighbor moves in and instantly drawn to her. When someone from her group comes over to talk to him one day and he learns she's single he knows that she is meant to be his. Sparks fly when Lennon and Asher meet and its not long before he makes his move. Has Lennon finally found the man for her?

This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Tory has smashed it with this series opener. We briefly met Lennon (Lennie) in snowed in with a cowboy, she is selfless, loyal to a fault, big hearted, smart, but she's heartbroken and feeling less than.
Enter Asher her new firefighter next door neighbour. He knows a thing or two about being heartbroken, but he's a dirty talking alpha with an absolute heart of gold.
Tory has spoilt us with a second chance at romance for Asher and Lennon.
If you enjoy interlinking characters, strong characters, heart of gold alphas, second chance romance, dual pov writing, spice, pure love, instalove and HEAs Tory has the book to brighten up your January blues.
Fantastic 5/5 stars. I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series, because I know they'll be awesome.
