Much of the flaws that afflict the individual and the community stem from the singular defect of Anger. Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). and His Messenger (Peace be upon him) have given us instructions regarding the malady and advised us to keep it in check. This work is an extensive discussion on these instructions. We hope that this concise work will aid the one who is afflicted with this flaw to find cure in, Insha Allah; while the one who is free of it will find enough incentives to keep his emotions under control.

I liked this short simple book, which touched on the types of anger (good if it is in the path of Allah and bad- the uncontrollable, unnecessary and argumentative), the specific steps to manage it (staying away from situations that could result in it or simple techniques like not speaking or sitting if ur standing) and not putting yourself in a position where you may need to give an apology in the future - my personal fav part! Also there are many rewards for controlling anger. “Whoever controls his anger at a time when he has means to act upon it, Allah will fill his heart with contentment on the day of resurrection”. “I guarantee a house in paradise for a man who avoids argumentation even if he were right” - Hadeeth. So even if you’re right, there’s no need to argue and get angry; “show forgiveness, enjoin what is good and turn away from the foolish” - Al Araaf. Remember to forgive and don’t argue with foolish people x
A good reminder and advice for those who needs anger management
Alhamdullillah, the book is concise and has good reference to the Quran and Hadith. It helps me to understand the concept of anger management in the Islamic perspective. Inshallah, this will benefit those who needs the guidance in anger management or life as a Muslim.

A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) and said, “Teach me something that will not be heavy upon me” The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Do not become angry.” The man repeated his request several times and the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Do not become angry.” (Recorded by al-Bukhari)
This small book explains how anger affects us and contains various tips on how to deal with it.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in the topic.
The author explains anger, it's nature, causes and consequences with much detail and the ways in which we can control our anger, avoid unnecessary troubles because of it and channel it in a better way. A good read!!
