We lied to everyone. But I never thought he’d lie to me.
One minute I’m at my desk, designing book covers and reminding my best friend that I don’t need dating apps. The next, I’m thrust into an executive boardroom full of people whose suits are saying everything their mouths aren’t – I don’t belong here.
That is until he walks in.
Perfection in a navy suit, with a seductive smirk that could make any woman weak in the knees. Shaking my hand, he holds on tight, awakening butterflies that have long been dormant.
I shouldn’t want to rip a man’s clothes off and take him home with me, and I certainly shouldn’t do it with a man who works for my CEO – hello, off limits!
But with every interaction, it’s impossible to stay away. Keeping us a secret is the only option.
I just never thought he might be keeping secrets of his own.
This standalone spicy office romance will have you swooning from start to finish. This novel is explicit in nature and not intended for those under 18.

I really loved this book, even if I’m normally not into slow burn romance books.
This is such a great story about mental healing, getting rewarded for what you work hard for and becoming a stronger person.
We have our two MCs, which happen to work in the same office.
Emilia, is creative and works hard and gets the possibility to prove herself to her boss. I really loved the positivity and encouragement in her work environment. During the book Emilia develops from an insecure woman with some issues to a strong self-assured person.
Jake has everything what you can imagine, a great career and is gorgeous. But also he has issues to solve and flaws, like everyone else.
If you are patient Erin rewards you with some really hot spicy scenes which leave you with wanting more.
This book shows that it is worth it to fight and work hard for your dreams to come true.
Get this book, a cup of tea and get to your favorite reading spot and enjoy this wonderful story which will leave a big smile on your face.
Quotes:
“So if you use Jacob at work…” I know where she’s going. “Then why did you introduce yourself to me as Jake?” I need the right words for this so I don’t come across as completely nuts. My hand falls to her forearm. I watch my fingers lightly brush her soft skin before looking into her eyes. “Because you were never going to be just work for me, Emilia.”
“I don’t know your insecurities, I don’t know what makes you upset or what I should and shouldn’t say. I don’t know how far I can go with you or when you want me to touch you or not. But I want to learn everything. Whatever just happened, whatever it was going through your head when I told you that you do things to me. Whatever insecurity you were thinking about, it doesn't matter to me. I want you, Emilia. I want all of you. All the good, I want it. All the shattered and broken pieces, give them to me to carry. I’m falling for you. And maybe you think it’s too early to say, but it’s the truth and this week only confirmed what I already knew. I want you, Emilia. All the time. All of you.”
I’m going to fuçk you, Emilia. You’re going to take everything I give you with that big beautiful smile on your face. You’re going to come for me when I ask. Move when I ask. And when I’m done, you’re going to liçk me clean. You got that, slųt?”
This was my first ever ARC, and I’m obsessed! ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 🌶️ Spice Level: 4
Emilia and Jacob completely stole my heart. Their flirty banter, sweet moments, and intense sexual tension had me hooked from the start. The spicy scenes? Let’s just say they had me blushing! Erin cranked up the heat when I least expected it, and I was left gasping (in the best way).
This is an insta-love story, and honestly, I found it so relatable -it reminded me of me and my husband! 😍 Emilia and Jake were such a refreshing couple, with no unnecessary games or endless denial of feelings. I loved how Emilia, despite her insecurities, chose to trust Jake and let her walls down.
Jake: "Be mine. Please. Tell me you're mine because I am already yours." UHH, YES PLEASE. Other MMCs need to take notes because Jake just raised the bar. 🔥
While Jake is getting all the love (and deservedly so), Emilia is my new favourite contemporary romance FMC! She’s a communication queen—thank you, Erin, for not making her overreact or do anything out of character just to move the plot along. She was smart, grounded, and so easy to root for.
Thank you, Erin Page, for trusting me as an ARC reader for your debut!
𝑨𝑹𝑪 𝑹𝒆𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 A swoony, contemporary debut by Aussie Author Erin Page! I am so glad to have read this. It was the perfect palette cleanser to my last read, which was splatter-punk. Erin’s writing is seamless and each chapter had my attention. I thoroughly enjoyed the rose-coloured-glasses type of story telling and enjoyed the slow burn:tension build up. It makes for a great F it all moment! The character progression was beautiful, and filled with plenty of witty banter! This was a fun and light hearted read.
A soft and underlying point to make, is that RO is written with the sense of healing from past trauma in such a positive manner; finding people who accept you, and most importantly, accepting yourself… whilst having a stunning man in an office uniform to ogle over 😅😉 -And though I love a good a fantasy to get lost and disassociate into, the contemporary style of this book had me giddy all the way through, it felt “real”. Which I don’t usually go for, but loved this! Read it in a day! I’m excited to see more of your writing 🖤
Thank you for the ARC @erinwritesromance 🖤

I was lucky enough to be part of the ARC team and OMG what a way to start my year!
I loved everything about Emilia as a brilliant, strong, and broken woman. Jakob is obssessed with her and I love him for it (not stalker kind of way) and it is such a beautiful love story.
Erin's writing is honest and magical. Creating such an intimate world for her characters and the readers with the «song of the day», the Germans' words of endearment and the little Easter eggs I love finding. I cried some truthful tears, I laughed and i wish i could read it for the first time again.
Well holy shit, Erin. It’s 12/31/24 (at time of reading in America) and you made it under the wire to hit my top 5 book boyfriends of the year.
The tension build up (and the release) between Jake and Emilia is delicious. Their internal dialogue, that I imagine is probably written all over their fictional faces, is relatable.
Emilia is one of the strongest FMCs I’ve read in a while. The difference is it’s not a bravado strength, it’s this quiet and foundational strength that’s juuuuuuuust shy of a brick wall of protection. She may be a little oblivious but she’s not naive and that’s a breath of fresh air.
Jake is the type of possessive and persistent book boyfriend that I am absolutely feral for. I want to elaborate so much more on Jake but I’d end up spoiling some key things and this is a book best flown into blind.
I’m truly disappointed that I’ll never get to experience this book for the first time again 😭
Be a good girl (boy or they) and add this to your TBR. 😈
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
Erin let me snag a copy early, but my opinions are my own. ✌🏼
Truly not enough words can explain how much I loved this book! I loved the relationship and friendship between Emi and Jake it had me giggling and kicking my feet (Jake is definitely a new book boyfriend)
Wow! This book was everything! Erin's debut novel absolutely blew me away—bravo! 👏
Emilia is a quirky, boho artist who designs book covers while carrying the weight of a traumatic childhood. She struggles with self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth, making her a deeply relatable and lovable character.
Jake, on the other hand, is a successful and driven finance guy trying to recover from grief and emotional wounds. The moment he sees Emilia working on her laptop, he’s captivated by her light and charm—he just knows he has to have her. But finding her again takes weeks, until fate steps in during a boardroom meeting, reuniting him with his dream girl.
Jake doesn’t want to scare Emilia off, so he treads carefully. Meanwhile, Emilia can’t believe someone like Jake could ever want her, despite their undeniable chemistry. Their secret workplace romance is sizzling and intense, but when Jake’s past and some well-intentioned omissions threaten their fragile trust, everything hangs in the balance.
Can they overcome past traumas, grief, and doubts to build something real?
I absolutely adored this book! Emilia had me laughing out loud with her hilarious outbursts, and Jake was the ultimate swoony book boyfriend—sharp suits, sweet German nicknames, and even cooking skills? Yes, please! And let’s not forget the spice and tension… chef’s kiss! 🔥
If this is Erin’s debut, I can’t wait to see what she does next! Highly recommend picking this one up—you won’t regret it!
The love i felt while reading this especially Jake’s love for Emilia… made me want to scream, cry, laugh.. all the feels! In such a good way. we LOVE a man being more obsessed!!
The BANTER is BANTERING OK!! i laughed so much!!
Not only does this book have a great slow burn romance but the SPICE 🌶️🌶️🌶️🥵🔥 AND if you love a MAN in a business suit… with SPICE 🥵 YUM is all i gotta say. you gonna have to read it to know what i’m talking about… iykyk
I also related to the FMC so much.. she overcomes so much that she’s dealing with when it comes to trauma, insecurities.. workload. But the GROWTH she makes is beautiful and so expiring.
This book was my first read for 2025 and i’m so happy it was because it did not disappoint!!

Going into ‘Reckless Omission’ I knew it was Erin’s debut novel but holy shit!! There’s no way, if I had picked it up not knowing I would 100% think that she had so many books out already. Erin’s writing is amazing. This book really set the bar high for 2025. It felt like I wasn’t reading a book but hearing about a friend’s life through the pages and experiencing everything right alongside her. All the little things in this book made it seem so real.
Emilia is someone you can easily relate to with all the little things she does and doesn’t do and it made it feel like I could really connect with her. She struggles with internal battles and insecurities from childhood trauma which is something a lot of us can relate to and I loved that we got to see so much character growth throughout the book. I don’t think there’s enough words to describe Jake and how he made me feel. He easily made me fall in love with him and I loved his inner dialogue, it’s not often you get to go that far into a males mind and thoughts and I loved it. And let me tell you Erin really turned up the heat in this book. Where can I find myself a Jake because seriously I am a goner. There was so much detail in this book and it flowed so well, it really gave an in-depth side to Jake and Emi and their lives. The book wasn’t rushed nor did it drag out, we really got to see them connect and get to know each other on a personal level and watch their relationship blossom. I was giggling and laughing so loud throughout majority of the book but there was one soul crushing part where I could feel my heart ripping and there’s nothing I love more then a book that emotionally destroys me and puts me back together. The banter in this book was amazing and I felt like I was out with friends and family joking around. I haven’t read many books set in Australia and it was nice to feel like I was coming home Arc Review
Ugh my heart! I rarely fall for a romance read but this one made me cry. This debut novel is an immediate winner.
Emilia is an artist working at a publishing house. She creates cover designs and illustrations for book releases (omg what a dream). Her inner critic is loud, her anxiety even louder, but she’s pushing for herself and her career. Then in walks Jacob (literally) and turns her life upside down. It is love at first sight with this handsome investment advisor. An in office romance threatens her career, her focus, and eventually her heart. The man who swore he’d never lie to her asks her to keep their relationship a secret. Can she push past her abandonment issues to put herself first? Will his “reckless omission” (omg the title relevance kills me) put everything she has at risk?
This story made me laugh, cry, blush and I adore that it has literary industry overlap. Books. Models. Photography. Art. Bad ass women in high power positions. Self empowerment. Girlfriends for life. Spice.
Well written and lovable. These characters are not without their faults but that makes this story realistic and doesn’t detract from the overall love story. I’m looking forward to reading this author again!
I was privileged to receive an ARC of this book and have been honest in my review of it. I did not receive anything in exchange for my review.
Spoilers : Starting off the book I automatically went into that “love at first sight” sigh. Then it progressed and it was perfect, the heat, late night phone calls, the pull and push, the craving without furthering the desire in a rush was/is perfect. I don’t mind the love at first sight plot but when they automatically get alone and it’s all rushed I hate (personal preference) I also like how yes she does have emotional issues due to her mother’s absence/abandonment but it’s not all that her character is. She addresses it and works on it but it doesn’t define her character. I’m very happy with the ending but I definitely wanted that “I’m pregnant” moment. I felt it would’ve made it more wholesome lol. Definitely a great read and an awesome pallet cleaner. The smut was just perfect !
One thing I don’t like is that the prologue is a chapter that should be added in the book. By the time I get to that part I hardly remember what happened. I guess it’s okay to skip it in a way but definitely would’ve been great to have in the moment. I didn’t wanna go back and re read it tho.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book was an absolute delight to read, not once but twice. I was able to read it first as a beta and now as an ARC, and it was just as incredible the second time around! The story is a perfect mix of heart, humor, and just the right amount of spice (a solid 3.5).
Jake is everything you could want in a book boyfriend! He is devoted, swoon-worthy, and surprisingly sweet. Emilia’s journey of growth and strength is so relatable and inspiring, making their connection feel genuine and electric. Their banter had me laughing, while the emotional depth of the story left me tearing up more than once.
What I loved most was how real and immersive this book felt. The pacing, the raw emotion, and the beautifully crafted romance kept me hooked from start to finish.
This is Erin’s debut novel and I was lucky to receive an ARC.
The characters are beautifully written, relatable, and authentic. I was fully invested in them through their POV chapters.
Emilia is vulnerable, open about her insecurities, creative, and driven. Jake is swoon worthy, possessive, and falls first. I laughed out loud during many of their internal monologues and interactions. You feel the slow burn tension and are rewarded when they finally explode! Their spicy scenes sizzle 🥵.
I also love a book that has fun side characters that you would love follow-up books on.
I am sad to let Emilia and Jake go. This was a really fun read and my heart fell in love with the growth of these characters and their end story. I can’t wait for more books by Erin!!
I love the small detail in the book like the change in names on the chapters and the little chapter pictures.
Let me just say I waited for the shoe to drop until it did and then I couldn't stop because I wanted it fixed.
Jake is goals for all men (except for one thing -- read it and find out). Emilia is relatable. She's a boss babe in her working life and working on her insecurities in her personal life.
I devoured this book. I got it yesterday and had it read ASAP. I was so pumped to get it, and now I'm sad it's over.
Erin, thank you for letting me read your debut novel and I hope you produce many more 💖💖
Ahhhh! Erin Page absolutely knocked it out of the park!! 💕 This book is truly swoon worthy and very much worth the read. I found myself not wanting to put my book down because I was so invested in Emilia and Jake’s story. ❤️

Wow! Reckless Omission was a beautifully written story about learning to love yourself and trusting others to love and support you. Emelia had a rough childhood and finds trusting others difficult. Jake has sworn off relationships until he sees her in the lobby of the new office building he works at. After months, they finally meet and the sparks are instant. They take their time getting to really know each other but Jake is hiding a part of him. Emelia learns to trust him and herself only for his past to come crashing in. Jake tries to explain but Emi is too hurt. Can they work it out? Will she forgive him?
It took me a bit to get into the book, but when I did….. I read 30 chapters in a day. Emilia and Jake both are portrayed in a way that made me yearn for more of them. The growth, confidence, and drive shown through the progression was absolutely incredible.
AHHH ERIN WHAT???!!! This is a debut novel?? I don’t believe you. This book was masterfully written and the love story is so swoony and just plain sexy. I mean Jake is just… and Emilia is so… UGH I YEARN. Seriously though, this romance story is such a sexy, workplace romance that is perfection. I’ve never met a finance bro that I like but Jake is the exception. He’s so sweet and loves with his whole heart and immediately we see his heart on his sleeve. And Emilia’s backstory is so important to the development of the story but not completely defining of her character. It sets up the action of the story and we see our FMC just blossom into a beautiful woman who gets what she wants because she, simply, deserves it. I really appreciated the way we see her grow, because it was subtle changes that evolved so clearly within the story and you almost don’t realize it until Emilia does. Not only did I love the dual pov, but I also enjoyed the roller coaster of emotions that I was put through. This whirlwind romance sweeps you up and you chase the highs and lows of this story perfectly. I never thought I could love while simultaneously wanting to shake a MMC more than I do Jake. Erin, you did such a fantastic job. I am ecstatic for your next books and the evolution of the Page Universe 💙💙
I was blessed to be chosen as an arc reader for this amazing debut novel, “Reckless Omission.” I was captivated by the beautifully broken and later strong, Emilia. I really felt her backstory, she had a very rough life up to the beginning of the novel. By the end though…I cannot wait for everyone to be able to read this amazing book.
A slow burn, office romance is not usually something I read, but again getting to know Emilia and Jake, let me tell you I read this book so slowly, just wishing for it to not end.
This book is pretty spicy, just to be warned, but adds so much depth to the story.
Erin Page's debut novel, Reckless Omission, is a thrilling page-turner with excellent storytelling. This delicious and spicy smart office romance is a five-star read. Jake and Emilia met and worked together in an unusual way. This is a slow-burning drama from Jake's past, and Emilia’s friend Gabi setting her up. Plot far more complex. This is one of those modern romance stories that you simply can't put down. Reckless Omission Erin Page is set to be released on January 30th, 2025. Ideal for romance enthusiasts eager to try something new. A fantastic recommendation for readers who appreciate the cliché of secret relationships, groveling, nicknames in foreign languages, he takes care of her and gradual burn, as well as out of the office Romance.
Erin’s debut novel is an absolute gem! From the moment I received the ARC, I couldn’t contain my excitement and couldn't stop until I finished it—I devoured every word!
Emilia is such a relatable character, balancing her organized yet messy life with her boho vibe. Her struggles with her mother were heartbreaking and so beautifully written. She didn’t deserve that pain, but I loved how Gloria and eventually Jake became her support system.
And Jake—he completely swept her off her feet (and mine!). His protectiveness, quiet strength, and swoon-worthy charm melted my heart. Every moment between him and Emilia was a joy to read—funny, flirty, and filled with undeniable chemistry.
This book is filled with heartfelt emotions, humor, swoon-worthy romance and heartbreak. Congratulations, Erin, on a brilliant debut—I can’t wait to read more from you!
I was so thrilled when i got the arc for this one but as life happens i couldn't read it when i got it. I read it in around three days before the release and I immediately dove into their story. Emilia is a young sweet girl in her late twenties, an artist through and through, great friend, super loyal, very hard worker, loves with her whole heart and works as a book cover designer in a small publicing company. She has her insecurities, her doubts and childhood trauma. She believes she doesn't deserve love or anything else happy in her life, although her best friend Gloria tries her hardest to change this mindset of hers. That is until Emilia gets a sudden chance of promotion and goes to her first board meeting and meets Jacob or Jake. There she fantasizes being with him but being her doesn't have the guts to ask him his number or anything else and leaves. Time passes and they meet again and he asks her on a date like high school kids with a note. It was sooooo cuteeee!!! I really loved this move 😊😊 long story short she agrees and after a misunderstanding they indeed get on their date and their relationship starts... but oh wait it's a secret cause somehow they work for the same company. Emilia goes through all kind of insecurities in this relationship, questions and doubts herself with him if she is good enough, attractive enough for him to be with her and so on. But Jake helps her overcome all these and shows her everyday what she is to him. On the other hand, Jake is strong, determined and doesn’t let anything hold him back from getting what he wants. He’s loyal to a fault, and the caretaker/protector/provider of his family. He’s, what the author called him, a sexy cinnamon roll. He fell first for her in a random moment when he saw her in the cafeteria of their building and since then he couldn't stop thinking of her. When they meet again he does everything in his power to find out who she is and where she works. Finally he asked her out and it was his idea of this secret relationship. Don't get me wrong it was really thoughtful and considerate for both of them and because of that we read some really good scenes 🤤 One reckless omission from his part leads to a very unpleasant situation for both of them. Through everything they went through both learnt what they mean to each other (to be honest Emilia knew Jake didn't realise it until his brother-in law threw it in his face), how they have grown in this relationship, what they are both capable of achieving in their jobs and in their lives, which are, eventually, their priorities and what their closest people mean to them. Erin's writing is pretty good, it helps the reader go through their story, the characters' emotions and their development. I laughed with their dialogues and their teasing, their sex scenes are quite intense and steamy and it sticks to the story where it's needed. Overall it's a delicious, slow burn, office rom-com story with a few intense sex scenes, but it's easily readable, just makes yourself comfortable and grab a cozy blanket and a mug with hot chocolate and dive into their love story!!

Jake and Emi
I devoured this book like anything in one sitting. Jake is a perfect man with his own imperfections that make him beautiful ❤️
Jacob Sandow, our hot MMC who is sweet, savoury and gets spicy as per requirement. I loved his character a lot. I enjoyed how calm, composed he was with Emi and how respectful he was of her boundaries and equally dedicated when they crossed them.
Who wouldn't love a man who can cook and clean as a guilty pleasure? Jake is literally a safe haven. I love him so much ❤️
Emilia, a fire caged by her own insecurities and past situations. I loved her Barnum effect hypothesis and want to apply it. She had such beautiful friendships. I must say there was no backstabbing among friends in this book, and how beautifully the side characters—Glo, Jane, Nikki, Alex, and Vanessa—were written. I enjoyed each and every one.
Jake fell first and really hard. He changed the meaning of care, compassion, and love for me. He made me realize how a man can listen to his woman without gaslighting her.
Emi eventually fell for him. I really loved her inner monologue. She had so many questions and was observant. You can't fool her, but her trust issues sometimes kept her on edge.
German nicknames, fun elements, suggestive talks, message exchanges, notes, and late-night calls. It was so soothing..❤️ and don't forget the noodles and dessert.
I really enjoyed how both of them were so in love. He planned a whole m**der over cookies and she was ready to throw hands for him.
But no love is complete without a rough patch, you'll feel for Jake during that phase. He had my heart throughout the book.
The steamy scenes.. ahem 🥵 from first kiss to tie, from XL to office s*x, it was so beautifully written, I enjoyed it 🤭🤭
Overall this was a comfort read for me and I'll read it again for Jake, if I get a chance ❤️
Okayyy first off is it me or did this kinda give off 50 Shades of Grey vibes.. but without all the sexy sexy stuff lol don’t get me wrong this book had heat but not that much heat😅🤷🏻♀️
It was still a good amount a heat though.🤭😏
Anyways is this really a debut novel?! Because honestly this was perfection! The whole story and the vibes and the slow burn omg that slow burrnnnnn🫠🫠
And Jake Sandow?! Def found my new book boyfriend😏🤍 He fell first and really fast and he had it bad for Emilia He was literally perfection🖤
Emilia I freaking loved her character and I felt for her.. she had trust issues because of her mother and past experiences she also had some low self esteem but as good stuff started happening to her she def made a lot of growth and went a long ways from where we first met her & I freaking loved that and was soo freaking happy for her!!
I loved hers and Jake’s relationship from the very first time they met and their light banter and then their flirting
Omg that freaking elevator scene made me freaking LOL & embarrassed for her 🤣🤣💀 I would’ve also died of embarrassment 🤣🤣
They way Jake would always want to be around her, always encouraged her, was very supportive, even proud of her, and he even started cooking for her🤭🤭🫠🤍
I can not wait to read more from Erin Page because like I said this book was literal perfection👌🏻👌🏻🤍
Some of my fave quotes and if I’m being honest they’re all from Jake🤭🤭🫠🫠🤍
“Because you were never going to be just work for me, Emilia.”
“No one gets to be with her. Not for pretend. Not for real. Not for any reason. No one except me. She. Is. Mine.”
“Be mine. Please. Tell me you’re mine because I’m already yours.”
This was such a great read, and it came at the perfect time for me as part of my therapy. I was so happy when I finished it, even though it took me four days—mostly because I kept procrastinating, but it was totally worth it. The story didn’t disappoint!
Jake and Emilia’s love story has everything I love in a romance: just the right mix of angst, love, steamy moments, and conflicts. It was perfect for me. I especially loved how Jake had special endearments for Emilia in his language—it was so cute! Honestly, I’d love to be called those sweet names too. Beautiful, maybe? I need someone like Jake in my life.
As for Emilia, I really connected with her passion for art, being an artist myself. Her character felt so relatable, and even though I haven’t gone through exactly what they did, their struggles really hit home. The weight of Jake’s actions and how they affected their relationship made me feel so much, but the ending made it all worth it.
This book made me smile, get annoyed, and gush over the characters the whole way through. The plot was wonderful, and I couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s also my first time reading a book with Australian slang, and while it was new to me, I really enjoyed it. It added something fun and unique to the story, loved that Aussie feel to it.
I feel so lucky to have gotten an ARC copy of this gem, and I absolutely loved it! 🥰
Debut Novel ??!! As i read this book I kept forgetting that . You would have thought Erin has been writing spicy romance for decades 😅 The words on each page just flowed so nicely & kept you wanting to read “just one more chapter “ until 1am 🫠
I LOVED this entire book from beginning to end . Emilia & Jake are my new favorite book couple . Slow burn office romance …. The fact that she met her sexy man at work wearing a navy suit & tie hit home for me bc that’s how I met my husband . Also they had to keep it a secret & so did we 🤭 I instantly loved the both of them & found myself trying to fit in chapters here & there throughout the day.
If you love spice HOT DAYMMMMMM 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥😅
Definitely one of the spiciest I’ve ever read , but also enjoy a story line with a little twist & drama .
Go grab your copy bc this book will be released to the public January 30th !! I’m already ready for the next spicy release , no pressure though 🤣
Wait, what?! This is a debut novel?! I know it is, but I was not expecting that. I finished it, ready to pick up her next one. The storyline is wonderful and natural. The characters are fleshed out and real. From the beginning, I found myself relating so hard to Emilia, the FMC. Jake, the MMC, is now on my top book boyfriends list. I want a friend group like Emila and a family like Jake. I think everyone needs a Gloria and Jane in their lives. The spice is delicious and so fitting for the character's love story. I think my favorite part of all is the banter! I was eating it up for the entire book (and it's not a small one). This book had me laughing and smiling like an idiot. So if any of that is what you are into, do yourself a favor, add to TBR now. And while you're at it, follow Erin Page, because she's wonderful and you'll want to know more!
✨eARC Review✨ 5 FREAKING STARS!!! I love Jake and Emilia so hard. He MAY be book boyfriend of the year and it’s only January! 😂
Emilia is an artist/graphic designer for a publisher while Jake is a financial advisor working in her building. One look, and they are mesmerized by each other 🥰 They start a relationship and hide it from everyone, even her bff!
I thought their relationship was so heartwarming, respectful, SPICY 🥵. All around loveable characters and character development! I loved all his nicknames for her in German!
Just a great story about building confidence in yourself and your career, healing from old wounds, and finding love ❤️

I love the strong characters! Each one is well placed and meaningful within the story. The depth and complexity from the MCs, Jacob and Emilia, is so good. Emilia is strong and driven. Jacob is hardworking and possessive. Together, they are full of witty banter and sizzling chemistry! And cute German nicknames… swoon!
A fantastic debut novel by Erin Page! I’m excited to see what’s next 🫶
This was such a fun, heartfelt, feet-kicking, giggling and omg that’s hot 🥵 read! Yes, Erin Page wrote a book that can make you feel all those things! I really enjoyed her writing style, the little details, and the banter between Jake and Emilia, and the spice… Jesus, the spice. In the story you find a bit of German, and I do love books that include a different language. But don’t worry, even if you don’t speak German, you will be able to understand and maybe even learn. I loved Jake, total green flag for me 🫶 and can’t wait to read more of this author’s work!
