Nature's Destiny #1

Nature’s Destiny

Rate this book
My life was changing, morphing into something greater than I could have anticipated. I was becoming something I didn’t recognise as myself anymore. A Werewolf.

I was different.
Bitten.

‘Hybrid’ was what they called me, and the weight that rested against that one word was crippling. They depended on me to bring them safety. What made me so special?

Oh, that’s right. My destiny.

I was sucked into a world I’d had no idea existed. Twenty-one years as a human, and this was what I found out.

My travelling plans, my writing degree, all of it was gone within one night. One evil night that robbed my humanity.

I wasn’t completely sour. Life had been unfair a while ago, only now I’d had something worth fighting for besides myself. Something to live for.

I was afraid for the others. I couldn’t let them down. I wouldn’t let them down.

I’d gone to bed a human and woken up a Werewolf.

A special Werewolf.
A Hybrid.

I’ve always lived a life based on my imagination, from hopeless dreams of romance to concocting alternate realities involving supernaturals. I’m completely fascinated with anything hero-related, and often speculate which superpower I’d possess. I haven’t settled on one yet.

I was born in England, and currently reside in Wales, UK. I love to write, and most days you’ll find me happily tapping away at the computer whilst in my pyjama-clad bubble. I also spend my time reading, and if that isn’t enough I’m often in the kitchen baking up a treat.

Favorite Lines “His physical appearance was enough to convert a nun, but his personality?

“I don’t need to travel the world anymore, Riley.” I looked into his eyes. “I have everything I need here,”

“It gave me you.”

OMG I want more! Now now now!
That being said it WAS A FABULOUS BOOK!!!
Luna (love this name and fits with her wolf perfectly) was mugged and bitten little did she know it was by a werewolf. Just when she's about to start her adventure of traveling she here's a voice in her head tell her she's a wolf, in walks Riley! Now Riley is an amazing Alpha who loves his pack and will do anything to protect them and now anything for Luna.
I was amazed at how Luna took this change but hey it's a book so don't really have the time or space for her warning it. She's very logical about it all personally I think if I had Riley I would react the same way!
Traps are showing up on pack grounds and a dead body at there gate! Someone is coming after Riley and Luna but why and why?

Great writing, fabulous characters, and ending makes me need more now!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (Lop)

Everything about this book and intrigued me and got me curious enough to read. It's about a werewolf, so...

The story is actually a fast-paced one for me. Luna, I love the name, is bitten disguised as being mugged and became a werewolf.

I actually got confused because the details were hazy. Maybe I want it described with more details as to make the images and scenes in my head to be vivid but I feel like the events were rushed.

I didn't feel in depth with the character. I actually wanted to know them better. Yes, I want less details on the physical aspects so i can conjure them on my own, but I also want more than brief descriptions. Less is more but too much less is actually nothing.

The prophecy. Yep, there's one. Its actually lame, I think. It didn't give the story mystery or excitement. The story could go along without it.

The fight. Yes, I love fights. I want gory details, not a quick death that have happened in a blink of an eye. Of course it could, what with the strength and super speed but it could have been described in a slow motion detail.

The love. I was missing the intensity. They're werewolf, they have animal instincts. They should be more primal and animalistic, and quarrelsome and possessive. That would make it very sexy.

But I like the concept of the story. Luna, a turned werewolf fulfilling a destiny falling in love with an Alpha, Riley. Its inevitable, yes. But it still something you want to read.

Nature's Destiny is one of those rare finds, that if it wasn't put right in front of you, you would miss it. Thank goodness Justine reached out to me for a review. With that being said, it was also one of those stories that you could tell where the story would go. When I first started, I wasn't sure if it was a YA type or an adult. By half-way through, scenes got hotter and clothes were flying. The characters had an easy likeness about them, which keeps you completely engrossed in the story. Luna, once realizing her destiny, became one tough chick. Love those kinda characters. Riley, major alpha male, worried me. I completely thought he was going to be the " I love you but can't have you because your too good for me" guy. Thank GOD he wasn't. He was the perfect all around guy. Nature's Destiny has lots of action, romance and suspense. This is definitely one to read!

At first the book started out slow for me. I enjoy getting the back story but cannot WAIT for the action and drama to present itself. It didn’t take long for the story to grow and suck up my interest.

I very much enjoyed Luna, whom is the main character of the story. Luna is stunning. She is the type of person whom you really want for a friend. One whom will stand behind you even if she has to fight for her life just to save yours. She develops as a character throughout the book as she makes some big changes with her life.

Luna also has quite the love interest in Riley. His character is young but he is wise way beyond his years. I really enjoyed his quiet moments alone with Luna and can tell that there will be great things to come from these two being together:) Riley is smart, fierce and quite handsome. He also is very protective over his family which is a huge reason of why I loved him so much!

This is definitely not your typical werewolf read and I cannot express enough of how much I loved this book! I found myself thinking about it even hours after I finished reading. I was drawn to the pages and had a hard time putting it down. There were surprises around every corner and I cannot wait to see where this story leads with the next installment!

Kudos to Ms. Winter’s for creating a fresh new YA story that I will definitely be telling all of my friends about!

I couldn’t help but get excited when I first discovered this title because not only is it about werewolves (my favourite), but it’s by a debut author and is considered New Adult which are two things that I don’t read enough of. So, I was psyched to be able to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. The book started out strong with the heroine getting bitten in the prologue, and then experiencing her first change in chapter one. Unfortunately, the story grew stagnant after that and was rather uneventful until the 3/4 mark. The heroine wasn’t believable, the insta-love rubbed me the wrong way, and the secondary characters weren’t well developed. The last fifty odd pages or so were a completely different ball game, and I found myself wishing that the entire novel had been like the closing chapters.

The foundation of Winter’s werewolf mythology is solid; I enjoyed learning about the intricacies of her shifters, and thought that she introduced some interesting new elements to the genre. One being that the various fur colours actually have meaning beyond the obvious link to their hair in human form. Another aspect that I found intriguing was the pack home; I’ve previously read books that have featured a kind of wolf mini-village, but the author takes things a step further in NATURE’S DESTINY by giving them their own infrastructure as well, like a school and hospital. On the other hand, there was a bit of a comical side to the lore as well. For one, these werewolves can avoid the call of the moon by simply closing the curtains, and their clothes magically stay on their bodies when they shift back to human. The latter isn’t that unusual, but the former just seemed a little silly in my opinion.

I think the main reason why I didn’t love this novel is because I had a hard time connecting with Luna; she was just so… simple-minded. She gets turned into a werewolf in the opening chapters, is told by the alpha that she has to give-up her life, and move in with a bunch of strangers. Now, any sane person would resist or at the very least question these imposed changes every step of the way, but not Luna. She just says “ok” like a well-trained dog. The protagonist goes from being a recent university graduate with her whole future ahead of her to a freaking werewolf forced to obey Pack law overnight and doesn’t even bat an eye! Then she falls in love with Riley in one day, and is calling him “the man of her life” before the week is out. The whole thing was just… implausible.

There’s not much of a plot to this book; in fact, I didn’t really figure out the point of the story until the 3/4 mark. I understand that this is the first installment in a new series, so heavy world-building and character development is expected, but there should still be a few plot threads scattered throughout the entire novel, not just at the end. At times, it felt like the author was checking elements off of a list rather than marrying them together in a symbiotic way. Winter would focus completely on one specific aspect then move on to the next one and so on instead of blending the whole together to create a well-balanced read. And, on top of the heroine being not very credible, there were also a couple of other unlikely occurrences, like when one pack wars with another, but only one side experiences casualties. Again, highly improbable.

I rarely adore book 1 in any series because there are always a few growing pains, so I’m not overly surprised that this turned out to be a 3 star read for me. However, the final chapters left me hopeful for the future of NATURE’S DESTINY which means that despite my misgivings, I fully intend on adding the next installment to my wish list.

So my fascination with werewolves just continues. And this book is an excellent addition to my obsession! This is the story of a normal girl, who got bitten, we think on accident at first, and it was such an occurrence that she really didn’t grasp what was going on until she could see it for herself. She thinks she’s going crazy, she’s trying to figure out why things are happening the way they are, and how she can save herself and her new packmates. And there’s one thing I actually really grasped, that a lot of authors don’t do. When someone has some supernatural thing happen to them that they have to hide, usually they just go into hiding. But with Luna, she was planning on travelling the world, so she literally wrapped up her life. She had already had a last day at work, she told her best friend goodbye for now, she included her parents in her going away. So when she dropped off the grid, it didn’t send the world into panic and amber alerts. I swear that was brilliant. I also swear that if I did that, half my family, the cops, my boss, would hunt me down and beat me up for doing just that, so I must say, way to NOT have a single plot hole! :) HA, ok back to the moment!

Luna is finishing up her college degree, though being from across the pond, they call it Uni… Yeah, we damn Americans call it school LOL Giggle. She’s very smart, she’s very responsible, she’s very neat and tidy and in line. And then she gets bitten. She misses almost a whole day of school right before big exams, she’s seeing things, she’s hearing things, she’s SMELLING things. She’s flustered. It’s kinda funny, but not, cuz I would pee myself if this happened. And overall, she’s strong. She’s coming to terms with things, she’s learning about Riley’s and his pack, and what that all entails. She’s brave, and she also figures out, she’s loyal too. She’s got a big heart, and she loves food, so she could be my bestie! She’s had an interesting childhood, and some rough patches, but she is growing and coming to terms with things and she’s quite a likable character. She’s also got one HAWT werewolf after her :) It’s also quite nice to see a girl make the boy work for it! LOL And the relationship she developed with Riley’s sisters and Roxy have such an endearing quality.

Riley is a HAWT piece. Seriously. He’s alpha, but he’s also young, like when he laughs at her for falling. So not manly :) But he’s very loyal and caring, and he can be quite the gentleman. He’s also quite smart, and of course, over protective, but he’s also quite free for being an alpha. He has a tree house for goodness sakes. ummm, I wanna go to that tree house, by the way! And now, he’s going to help Luna, and help the pack, and try to make sure everyone makes it out alive and unharmed with this new threat coming to pass. There are also some great other wolves that come into play with Riley, and I look forward to seeing more of the pack as this series grows!

The writing is great. It flows well, it made for an easy quick read, and like I said, the writer thought about things that most don’t, like covering your tracks when you go wolfy. :) It’s also got action, suspense, humor-there’s some fnny werewolves around in here- and a great romance that will have you steaming. ;) And I seriously cannot wait to see where the author is going to go with her ending. You just KNOW something crazy is going to come from this, and no worries kids, there’s no big cliff hanger, just a perfect opening to the mystery that will continue. It’s perfect. AND it’s got a nice little wrap up. Which means I am of course going to stalk this author until she gives me more goodies! I am so excited to have this one, and I am even more excited to know there will be MORE! GIMME GIMME! :) a PERFECT 5 WOLFY PAWS :)

Written For Confessions From Romaholics

At a first glance this book seems to be the typical approach of a paranormal romance novel. But as I discovered along the way, every author manages to bring something new or something unique into the telling of the story, something that will make you remember her/him and it will push you to read further on their books.
Justine Winter created two main characters absolutely wonderful: a lion-hearted heroine, who loves with all her heart and will do everything for the loved ones and an alpha male, a born leader, burdened since his parent’s death with duties and responsibilities toward his family and pack.
The story starts strong and develops at a fast passed rate and I was hooked from the first page. Hunted by dreams and hallucinations, Luna is convinced that something strange happens. Everything started one night, when after finishing work and a hard day filled with classes and exams, she was mugged. Since that moment she has black-out moments, hallucinations, lost memories and dreams of a tall and gorgeous guy. Only her instincts helps her maintain her calm and sanity when the man of her dreams walks into the “The Hybrid”, the bar she was working and an unforeseeable force seems to pull them together. Separated by the different life principals, they are nevertheless irremediable draw to each other by a passion impossible to deny. When he reveals he is the alpha of a wolves’ pack and she is going through a transformation, her first impulse is to deny everything, but soon the rational part of her starts to accept the inevitable (of course she will deal in her own way, with lots of booze and no memories) and the border between worlds collapses and she is able to accept the truth about the thrilling and magical world that opens for her. She accepts to give up her dreams of becoming a writer and her mother and leaves her life behind and go with Riley at Nature’s Destiny, a piece of heaven for his pack.
All the secondary characters and the members of the pack are well shaped and it was impossible for me not to feel immersed in their world. The pack soon adopt Luna among them and start treating her like one of their own, especially when is clear to everyone the connection between her and Riley becomes stronger and more intense with each passing day. Their relationship starts lightly, becomes something sweet and grows toward something deep. Luna and Riley are perfect for each other, they are both gentle, but strong of character, they complete each other and their passion seems to lead them toward a bond that will change their life forever. But not everything is as perfect as it seems, because soon a dark threat lurks into the shadows menacing to destroy their new found happiness. They must confront a deadly enemy, life threatening events, dead bodies and lot of fights. And if that wasn’t enough, Luna finds out that their specie is threatened by an unknown power and she is the key of their survival. Talking about destiny…
I loved this book, even if there were moments where the story dragged off and moments were the action just took off, I think it all compensate rather well and the result was a very wonderful read. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series, because the author, certainly left room for a sequel. Is Justine Winter one of those authors I was telling about at the beginning of my review? She definitely is and I will follow more of her amazing stories.

I very much enjoyed this book and was drawn to the pages the minute I opened it. Luna was a great main character. She is loyal, fierce and kind, but also very brave when she has to be. Her character development was stunning! Of course, she had a wonderful Wolf by her side to help her. Riley.

I don’t think I have enough words to describe him. I absolutely loved him. He does have two sides though: the loving, passionate side when he is with Luna and on the other hand the responsible and caring side for his pack. He is the Alpha after all.

The pack in general was very well-written. I really liked the dynamics between the different characters with their witty remarks.

Reasons why I didn’t give it five stars? The instant love connection between Luna and Riley. That always puts me off a bit, but since the time span of this book is relatively short, there wasn’t a lot of time for the buildup. Their feelings are very believable, though, and I absolutely loved them together. Secondly, Luna's very quick acceptance of the supernatural. Her decision was made overnight (which she spent most of the time drunk) Also, after coming to live with the pack, she doesn’t contact her parents or best friend anymore (with the exception of one phone call). They seemed very protective of her, so it seems strange that she wouldn’t at least send them an email to keep up the pretense that Luna was, in fact, traveling the world. But this is just me picking at the details.

I very much enjoyed this novel; It has a steamy romance, kickass action scenes, a daunting prophecy hanging above their heads, an original twist to the werewolf scenery and a war waiting to break out.

One of my favorite quotes:
“Do you think the prophecy, my destiny, is exactly what you were told?”
“Destiny is what we make through the choices life gives us. The future isn’t promised, which is why we make each day count. Live for you, not because of what’s expected of you. We don’t judge, we protect. That’s family, and that’s pack. And I will always be here for you, Luna. We’ll get through this together.” He kissed the top of my head and tightened his arms around me. My choices had been taken away from me the day I was turned. Since then I’d followed orders. I wasn’t me anymore, I was the person I was always supposed to become. Special. It didn’t matter what everyone thought. I was going to protect my pack, especially Riley. Nothing was going to stop me from giving him the happiness he deserved. Even if that meant war.

When I first started reading Nature’s Destiny by Justine Winter, I was a little worried I wasn’t going to be able to get into it. It’s been a while since I’ve read a shifter book and was immediately intrigued, so I wanted to take a chance on a new author. Like I said before, it took me a little while to get into the story. I felt the beginning was a little fast, but once I got to chapter 3, I was immediately sucked into Luna’s life.
Justine Winter was able to create a character that we could all relate to in some shape or form. Luna isn’t this overly attractive girl that can do no wrong. In fact she’s clumsy like the rest of us, wants to move on from a haunting past, and find her place in the world. Little did she know that a mugging and a bite would change all of that. When a voice inside her head tells her she’s a werewolf, talk about some major confusion right? Not to mention these strange dreams about a gorgeous guy with emerald green eyes… and when said guy walks into the bar she works at… coincidence?
Riley… can I please have one of him? Seriously, I would gladly take being a werewolf if it meant I got to come home to one of him. He’s the Alpha and when he lets Luna know that she’s going to have to move in with him and the pack, well lets just say like any independent girl, it didn’t go over so well. The attraction Luna and Riley have toward each other is sizzling, you can’t help but see their connection and in all honestly I cannot wait to see where Justine Winter takes us on the next installment of their story.
I seriously need the next book like yesterday. I’m glad I took the chance on this book, it was a refreshing paranormal after all of the contemporary romance books I’ve been binging on. So if you are a paranormal junkie, or just need a break from the heavy, you have to read this book. Don’t get me wrong it’s packed with emotions, and tasteful sex, not to mention a battle where Luna kicks some major ass, but it’s more than that. It’s a story of a family born to protect, a prophecy that’s sure to take you on a journey, and a love that consumes. The only questions is… does everyone make it out alive?

This was an amazing book. I love shifter romance novels and Nature's Destiny was a really breathtaking approach to the typical tale. The story starts by introducing us to Luna who was mugged a few days before the story starts. She is just finishing up her final exams to graduate university and is planning to write her debut novel while touring through Europe when she starts to feel the effects of her attack... Her attacker was not completely human ;) Enter the expected Alpha male (Riley) Who took over leadership of his parents pack at the age of twenty after his parents died in an airplane crash. I loved watching Luna develop as a character. She is breathtaking, strong, smart, sassy and a leader. It is wonderful to see a true Alpha female and I cannot wait to see the extent of her special abilities. There is a perfect amount of heartwarming romance and steamy sex, without it being overdone. The chemistry between Luna and Riley is so hot and sweet, I love them. There is also some great action with an unknown assailant threatening the pack and it's members and the threat of war on the horizon. The supporting characters and story are really great as well, I often find myself not caring for the people in the supporting roles, but that did not happen here. I was truly drawn into the sense of family that Justine Winter was trying to create. My dreams for book two would be a mating ceremony between Riley and Luna, the birth of Roxy's pup, more development of Luna's abilities, the war and right at the end Luna finds out she's pregnant. I really really want a HEA.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (Lovers of Paranormal aka LOP).

4.5 stars

This was a great story! It was very easy to follow. I liked that Ms. Winter explained the background info on Luna at a good pace through out the book. She was easy to understand and relate to. I really enjoyed Luna! She was a strong female lead which I am very thankful for since there are few of those out there. I liked that she didn't dwell on problems she encountered in life. She adapted to change significantly well during her life changing events which I appreciated. She was very likable and my favorite part of the story. I was pleased by all the characters because they seemed normal and genuine. Everyone was a strong character, they weren't indecisive about themselves or their decisions. The only reason I didn't give this story 5 stars was because I felt that some parts of the writing could have been elaborated further with more detail but other than that, this was definitely worth the read!

I would like to thank Ms. Winter for sharing her work with me, it was a pleasure. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to enjoy a paranormal romance adventure :-)

Luna had her life all planned out. Finish exams, graduate, travel...then ***BAM*** she gets mugged after a shift at work leaving her injured and a little worse for wares.

Dreams of a tall dark stranger begin, followed by weird physical sensations and mood swings...Luna's life is thrown for one big friggin' loop...and his name is Riley.

Luna has to make a decision, can she move forward and live the life she planned or is Riley and his offer what she really needs?

Ms Winter's debut novel is a fabulous paranormal romance action packed with drama and passion. If you enjoy a sexy werewolf tale then Nature's Destiny is for you! I loved it and I am dying to see what Ms Winter's has in store for her next book in the series!

It didn't take long for Natures Destiny to appeal to my Interest! I usually don't read Shifter novels, but wow! I loved this Read!
Luna is the main character and she is amazing! Heroine and caring, anyone would be lucky to have her in their life, or on their side! Then there is Riley, a love interest for Luna! Riley is wise beyond his years and very protective and loyal to the ones he loves.

   The plot!
Luna was bitten, accident? Maybe, but she believes she is losing her mind and she tried to figure out what us happening to her. She says goodbye to family and friends and sets out without alerting anyone of her problems.
With a threat coming to pass, Luna and Riley Fight for there lives and everyone else's.
I can't wait for the next book!

DNF......... I made it to18%. I couldn't connect with Luna or the story. I didn't like how and where he told her she was a werewolf. Didn't like her easy acceptance of the situation. It didn't seem realistic. I wasn't a fan of the writing style. It seemed jumbled to me at times. I did try to stick it out but it wasn't for me, sad because I love werewolves

The cover art is lovely and I would have picked this book up based on that alone. The beginning of the story was good and piqued my interest with Luna getting bitten although she thought at the time she’d been mugged. Having said that I thought the probability of someone accepting so easily the fact she had been turned into a werewolf, not to mention Riley’s instructions to join his pack and move in with them, giving up her post uni travel plans, family and friends with hardly a second thought, was a little unrealistic. At the least I would expect some denial or resistance to what is a fairly unimaginable and complete life changing event.

I must admit, I had always thought they shifted without clothes and it was an uncomfortable if not painful transition but maybe I haven’t read enough werewolf books to know otherwise.

That isn’t to say I didn’t enjoy reading the story, I did. Werewolves are fascinating and I like the dynamics of the pack and the idea of a self-contained estate. The characters were more engaging as the story progressed.

The last few chapters of the book were action packed, although again, a little improbable in that the every one of the rogue wolves were killed in an all out battle without any casualties to speak of in Riley’s pack.

It was, perhaps, a touch over romanticized for me but I will be checking out the next instalment.

I started this book with high hopes, because I saw it had some high ratings and it has been a while since I read a good werewolf book. Unfortunately for me it didn't last, I was very disappointed that I didn't like this book more.

Luna and Riley, I am on the fence about them. Luna was a little juvenile but does get better as she learns to deal with her new abilities and Riley. Riley is also childish, he laughed at her when she fell. Really? Then he was hot and cold with her but they get it together before the book ends.

The book starts off as YA and towards the end it's NA. The story was interesting but it took too long to get to any action. I was about 50% thru and I was still waiting for something to happen. When I got to about 75%, it got good but I felt like I was reading a different book. After that, I realized that it was building up for book two.

I thought this book was okay but not my cup of tea but don't let me discourage you. It has a slightly different twist and if the book's ending is any indication book 2 could be something to look forward to.

ARC for Honest Review

Luna’s story is fun and dark. It’s full of love and family and finding. Bitten and turned into a werewolf, Luna finds herself the newest member of her local pack. There, she meets Riley, the goofy and boyish alpha who also has a powerful, serious side. Together, they make an awesome couple, each with strengths that play to the others’ weaknesses.

I also loved the side characters. Riley’s family is an awesome group, and they make Luna feel right at home in her new life. The sisterly dynamic is perfectly described, and the guys are so obviously brothers—getting along one minute and fighting the next. I especially love the game room in the alpha house. Excellent use of video games here for some geek points

The story moves fast, and the pacing is good. A little more detail in some places would have been good, but overall, the story kept me hooked and reading. I really like the ending, but no spoilers, folks. 

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G BOOK!!!!

I was hooked the second I started reading. You are drawn the characters and their playful natures and their protective spirits.

Luna's mugging is what's starts the whole thing. It's an unexpected twist you definitely don't see coming and her quick acceptance of her fate was always quite a surprise. The pack loves her and Riley I think fell for her the second he found her.

The constant twists and unexpected events are really what help to keep you drawn into the story, just when you think you have something figured out, everything changes and you have reevaluate the situation. This in my opinion is what makes a book and author really great, nothing is predictable and you really have to become "one with the story" to keep understanding what's happening. It's more than just being sucked into the story, you have to become a character yourself.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I can not WAIT to get my hands on the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed the book. I was given this book in exchange for an honest review by LOP. Leading lady Luna gets mugged and bitten. She finds out from Riley (a total stranger) that she is a werewolf and must live with the pack and follows him willingly to their retreat. She falls for Riley the packs Alfa and he for her but they never bond – strange. She’s called a hybrid because she was made, not born, a werewolf. She’s also all white, as foretold in a prophecy (of course!). She will be the savior of the race. Get around the crazy “facts” and the story is pretty good. Supporting characters are likeable, love scenes good. Definitely worth reading if you like shape shifters. Editing is pretty good, book moves right along.

It's true, the cover did me in.

This novel is an easy read if you're not looking for anything heavy or sophisticated. A commuter novel maybe? There is nothing new in here, it's certainly all been done before with no mind blowing innovation.

The characters are somewhat one dimensional. Everyone loves everyone, and they all get along merrily together. A stereotypical romance that is completely predictable.

You won't be disappointed if all you're looking for is a simplistic werewolf romance.

I was lucky enough to be able to read this prior to the release date. I read it in one day. Werewolf stories aren't new, so it can be hard to find stories that don't have elements of other werewolf ones but this actually stood out as original in my opinion. It wasn't cliche or over the top.

Definitely will be looking forward to the next installment!

I was lucky enough to beta read this book. Warning: it's hard to put down!

I liked the main character, Luna, right away. She is strong and self-assured but very down to Earth and genuine. The author does a great job describing the relationships between the characters; both existing and blossoming ones.

I like this book it was free on kindle which is why I pick it up. The story is one what if you read this genre comes up a lot but even so I enjoy this version of the story and I can't wait for the next book and to see how Luna copes with balancing the two main people in her life.
