Again, you have to read the first two parts of this serial romance to understand what’s happening here.

This is a fantastic third part. It picks up at the hospital with the aftermath of the shooting. There is a heavy focus on Brendan and Rebecca’s relationship and more specially Rebecca’s point of view. For the first time since the initial part we see throw her eyes how broken Brendan was between his college breakup and the present time. She has put in the work to try and help heal his wounds but still give him the space he desires. It’s clear to see she has fallen in love with him although he doesn’t return her feelings with the same intensity. Regardless, she demonstrates she won’t give up on what she thinks they have easily. In fact, she will be downright conniving to get her way or at least put the odds in her favor.

There is a scene from Christiano’s point of view after Annie has moved back to the U.S. He has a fling with the woman who Annie always said was in love with him. He then rejects her when he realizes Annie’s foresight had somewhat come true. I suspect we’ll get more of Christiano in the future simply because this was just a morsel of a
subplot.

Finally, we get a bit from Annie’s perspective (but not as much as in previous installments). Once again she displays her tenacity. Even after being warned off by who she thought was Brendan’s girlfriend, she still finds a way to see him and is rewarded with the tidbit that he is single.

This serial book is unique amongst others because it brings in various perspectives. It also does not follow the rules of a traditional romance. Some of the situations aren’t pretty or idealistic but in many ways, it makes it more practical and hopefully the payoff in the end will be that much better.

Very slow moving and very repetitive. Rebecca is back as Brendan's emergency contact. For an almost 40 year old woman she does some very childish things. Brendan needs to stop things with Rebecca and Annie needs to stop things with Cristiano. It's okay but I would not recommend. I read in Hearts Series: Books 1-6.

I was provided a cop of the book by the Author for an honest review.

Wow I just finish reading this book, and I love it, even though their where part of the book that got me mad. but I love every single minute of it, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.

The story picks up where REACHING HEARTS left off, when Brendan is rush to the hospital after being shot, Annie rush inside the hospital wanting to see Brendan, once she ask a nursed for his room number, the nurse give it to her but tell her that visiting hours are not for a few hours, Annie ask her where the bathroom is and after the nurse tell her, she sneak out to take the elevator and go in search for Brendan room, once she find his room and goes in she is surprise to see someone in their, after she ask who she is the person tell her that she his girlfriend, this leave Annie with the decision to finally get him out of heart, now dealing with the aftermath of what happened, will they get to finally be happy.

We also get to read from Rebecca point of view, and we also get to read from Christiano point of view, we get to see the fling that he had after Annie left him, when she came back to San Francisco, now I cant wait to see if their is another part, and what would happened next.

Author Sabrina Lacey THANK YOU for this awesome characters and this amazing series love it.

book three, and its all downhill from here.

we join Brenadn and Annie, in the aftermath of the shooting. Brendan's on/off older girlfriend is on the scene, since she managed to get her name down as his emergency contact. she is gonna fight for Brendan, and i get the impression she will play dirty.

seriously?? i really didnt like this instalment. im still giving it 3, as some of the other two books bleed into this one, but thats the only reason. i was expecting the tale to end here. it doesnt.

as i said in my review for book 2, they should be one single longer book, rather than short bursts, because its really not doing anything for the book!

we hear from both main characters, but also, Rebecca (Brendan's girlfriend) and Christiano (Annie's boyfriend from Italy)

sorry, but not one for me!

Crushing Hearts (Heart Series #3) by Sabrina Lacey
4 of 5 stars

You have to read the first two books in this series for this book to make sense. Annie and Rebecca meet when Annie comes to visit Brendan in the hospital. Rebecca misrepresents herself upsetting Brendan.

Rebecca has feelings for Brendan that he doesn't return as strongly. Christiano starts pressuring Annie to return to Italy. Annie wants to be with Brendan, so does Rebecca and then there's Tommy.........

I liked this installment. I liked finding out more about the five years they were apart from Rebecca and Christaino's view.

I would recommend this. I liked it but I'm ready for the series to wrap up.

This is part three on the series.

This had more points of view than the other parts of the story. Really enjoyed reading this.

Loved reading Rebecca's point of view. Need part four now.
