The day Rebecca Tripp meets Thomas Slye, secrecy, murder, and love intertwine when she envisions a ghost horse leading her through thunderstorms of doubts and an investigation endangering her unborn child.
The pain in her ghost horse’s eyes haunts her until she takes matters into her own hands and video tapes the criminal activities of an owner making big money by winning the championship award in the Tennessee Walking Horse show. Did she go too far? Is Thomas part of the horrendous crimes committed against the beautiful Tennessee Walking horse?
Trapped in the dark stables on a stormy night, the crackling thunder fails to cover up the whoosh of a bullet landing in the post near her head. Becca hugs her round belly when the blue lightning flash reveals a man’s silhouette. Why did Thomas want to kill her? She loved him.

Another great novel with a profound impact. I raised Arabian horses for many years, back when the Arabian horse business was blossoming. Then, within 15 years, I saw that breeders and showmen alike were corrupting the breed. Being just a small horse breeder, and having five children and my husband's business to care for, I quit the business. I know the terror of being an activist, and I had too many lives to endanger. I believe the injustices were quelled, and the Arabian horse world leveled off. More books of this genre need to be written, not just in the equine field, but also in the canine and feline fields as well. Corruption abounds, and I no longer can remain silent, even at 79 years old.
This writer has done our animal loving world a great justice by making more people aware of an immense amount of greed. Well written, Anna Sugg!
