Joe P. Attanasio was born in the late 1940’s in western New York. He is married and has a daughter. He served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army in 1968 and has had a career as a butcher himself. He has lived near the east coast and the west coast of the United States and is currently living in New York.

He is an avid reader and is particularly interested in historical mysteries and adventures. His favorite authors include Ken Follett, Bernard Cornwell, C.J. Sansom, Steve Berry and George MacDonald Fraser.

He has always had a passion for the High Middle Ages (1100-1300). He has written many poems and short stories. A collection of his poetry and short stories can be found online at:
