Falling All Along

Rate this book
falling all along is a collection of 40 poems exploring memory, nature, family, time, and transformation. Through vivid and often unexpected imagery, the poems reveal a world where the familiar blends with the dreamlike, and quiet moments lead to startling realizations. As seasons shift and the past lingers in the present, time stomps its inelegant feet on all our heads.

I swear Nick and I have the same childhood memories. Take for example "Clifford Street" change it one street over to "Princeton Street" and I'm right there back in my youth. I pine for my adolescent summers.

There are quite a few hidden gems in this, but a favorite will always be "Ignis Fatuus." That last couplet is a chef's kiss.

And am I crazy or were there aliens thrown in there as well?

Nonetheless, give LeBlanc a read. He's incredibly relatable, thoughtful, and just hits home every time.

Nick's ability to tell stories through each poem is truly special and endearing. I felt like I was going back through some of my own childhood memories as the words unspooled into my consciousness. I always appreciate raw, unbridled honesty in writing, and this is a great example of that. I can't wait to see what writing he gifts the world in the future.
