Cute Halloween read. Yara in Miami with friends, happened upon an island after running away from a handsy guy on the yacht. She quickly realizes that something is different about this island and is very afraid. However, when she meets Misfit in all his dark sexiness, all those fears fall away. As he tells her the history of the island, and his life there she is shook. Huh??? She believes she is losing her mind, or that she was drugged. This cannot be real. Yes, ma'am it is.

The second half of the story when Yara returns the following Halloween, was ehh...... With the buildup about the island, the magic and mystery, I thought there would be more. Nonetheless quick easy read.

Another short and cute read by Natasha. This one had a beautiful slow burn that turned fast quickly and gave you a lot of lovey doves vibes. A good amount spice as well.

Misfit and Yara were cute, Yara’s friends were trash, Bresha needed to move on, and Mama Lemle was dope.

There’s not much to say about this book other than I liked it. It was a little more fast paced than I thought it would be but everything still made sense. I could also really visualize Misfit Island because Natisha did a great job at describing it. Also, Yara was lowkey funny. She had me cracking up when she was trying to choose wisely during the confrontation with Bresha and when she (**SLIGHT SPOILER**) slightly regretted not caring about the consequences of letting Misfit finish in her again.

The only other thing I can think of about this book is that I don’t remember there being a trigger warning aside from the one that mentions voodoo. There should also be mention of a sexual assault attempt in the book so please be mindful of that if that’s a triggering topic for you.

take me to Misfit Island!

this was a very cute, very quick, Halloween themed read.
I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

The storyline was imaginative & creative.
The cover had me thinking it would be a bit spookier, but I have no complaints about how things unfolded.

I was scared at the beginning, when Yara was on that yacht. I love how her call for help was answered. Misfit was a great MMC, he gave “stand on business from the moment we met him.

I would love an update from this couple. Or even another one that may/may not be connected to them. I really just wanna go back to Misfit Island. Lol

Loved it!

I’m not sure how come I missed this book when it first came out, I was apprehensive and didn’t read immediately as I thought it would’ve been scary lol. Surprisingly, it was not scary at all, but a quick moving sweet love story. The background, and the characters details are very interesting and definitely unique, which kept me glued to kindle reader and I read the story in one session.

Great Read

Let me stumble upon me a Misfit! Yara running off the yacht to get away from her so called friends turned out to be great. Walking upon Misfit Island was creepy, but helpful. Meeting Misfit changed Yara's life in more ways than she could ever imagine. She created a soul tie with a complete stranger. Mama Lemle told Yara that she would be back to the Island. A year later, and she was back to get her man. Their relationship and love was beautiful. Awesome read.

What a man, what a man!!!!

I absolutely loved me some Misfit!!! Handsome, sexy, masculine, and faithful!!!! I knew she was pregnant when he started having symptoms!!! Baresha was trifling trying to set him up with someone else's child!!! I wish it was longer, I would've loved to see how they made out between both the island and NC. Great Halloween short!!!!

This was a good quick Halloween novella that I enjoyed. I started not to read it because of the voodoo disclaimer but it was just chanting and drums being beaten. And not actually words/spells being chanted. I wanted an epilogue to see if Yara was in fact pregnant with twins and what was their gender.

Soul mates

Where can I find a mama lemle lol. Enjoyed this Halloween short story, when I seen the cover I thought it was going to be scary but growing up in the south I understood everything which made this book that much more enjoyable. Misfit and Yarya were indeed soul mates and the way they intertwined with each other made their story beautiful.

So….

Here it is April and I’m just reading a Halloween book. It was well written, flowed well and kept my attention. I was disappointed in Yara’s friends for leaving her on an island alone, then pretending to care afterwards but she definitely had no complaints after meeting Misfit. All I can say is that they better invest in some birth control.

What a love story

To stumble upon a mysterious island from a horrible experience on a yacht with so called friends and a island that doesn’t exist on the map and only appears once a year on Halloween to the outside world and Yara unknowingly meets her soulmate in the process is intriguing to me! I love their story. Hopefully in the future there will be another story about them

The best!

I loved this novella! While Yara’s friends were trash it all worked out for her good. And Misfit dodged a bullet. I can’t believe ole girl was going to play him like that. On another note, I can see the imagery of the island and hear the music drumming even now. What a great way to take a break on my Halloween afternoon.

This is a quick read, and it is also a fast-paced story.
Yara's friends were big trash! I'm glad she stuck to her boundaries and followed her instincts because just because them dudes paid for the boat didn't give them access to her body. Yara and Misfit were cute together and Mama Lemle could have saved them all sometime by telling them all what was going on.

🖤🖤🖤

Nice and quick cute read. Tara friends were definitely trash but the boat crashing or stalling was the best thing to happen to her. Misfit was everything she needed and she was what he didn’t know he needed. Their connection was beautiful. Great job

This was very different from this author’s usual writing style, but in a good way. I can’t wait to see what’s next. Hopefully we get to hear from them again. We need that wedding…

aww 🥰

This story took me a while to get into. I thought I missed something in the beginning so I kept restarting. As I continue to read, the story starts to flow better once Yara met Misfit. Their story had a very unique start and a loving sweet finale.

Great character building

Love this. The character building even in this short read allowed you to understand the characters. I would love to hear more of them and see the relationship of Misfit and Yara blossom.

Short and Sweet

This was a short and sweet love story, with a different twist. The cover threw me off a little, I was expecting it to be more dark and spooky. But it was still a nice story. I don’t think I’d want to leave Misfit Island, a hidden paradise.

read it

I will say this is a nice quick short read. As far as the story there is an attempted sexual assault and also some very bad friends. I really do enjoy the FMC and the MMC I’m happy they found their way back together.

This was the perfect book to get me out of my reading slump. Yara was better than me with how the trip started. Now Misfit and Misfit Island were a vibe, if it were a real place, I would like to visit.
