This was good!! I’m not shocked the way things played out with Brandi after getting a glimpse of her & Amir’s relationship in the first book!
I loved Nerissa even though she gave me a headache overthinking every little thing I knew eventually she would give in & give their relationship another chance!!
The connection between Nerissa, Demario, Juels, Sienna & Zyon was ABSOLUTELY INSANE‼️ Definitely caught me off guard & was not at all what I expected!!
The ending seemed a little rushed but it did tie up all loose ends & answer everything you want to know! Ahsan stood on business about his brother & his family!! Loved the happy ending for everyone involved!
Oh Amir baby boy you had a lot going in. Brandi and Amir drove me crazy .. 45% in and the back and forth was annoying!
Nerissa baby girl I was yelling like call that man!
The connection between all characters just had be holding my breath.
It was the relationship between Nerissa & Demario 😳😮
Jules and Demario - ya should have know it wasn’t gonna end well for ya 🤦🏾♀️
Rico and Bradley I didn’t really understand ya motivation. The Patton brothers were just targeted from every angle!
Overall I enjoyed the 2nd chance for Nerissa and Amir. ❤️🫶🏾🥰 It was the new house, with the hair salon in the basement for me 💈🥰😍 I feel like there is more and what happens with Zyon? Does XL get a book???
Ok. The brothers was good. Amir grew up. I just knew him & ol girl was going to act right after he propose but i guess it wasn't meant to be. Second chance romance will never go wrong. Will we get a story about XL? I feel like he needs a story. Every one needs love lol
what an ending! i was kinda expecting that, but also not at the same time HA! i really enjoyed the first book in this series(?), but felt like this one was just missing something idk.
anywho, solid 3.5 stars for this book & 4 stars for the series <333
These brothers and their cousin us definitely gangsta for sure. They are unhinged when it comes to the ones they love as it should be. It's crazy how Amir and Rizzy were connected in more ways than the love they shared and never knew it. I loved strong will Nerissa because she knew her worth and wasn't letting anyone tell her different. She was hurt by Amir and pretty much lived with that hurt until they connected again and even after that. She knew she needed the time to forgive and Amir gave her that space in a sense. He did not pressure her or become overbearing. He let things progress how they should. I liked that it shows growth. Amir and Brandy was past toxic but it's like it got worse when Amir got that old thing back lol. Overall really good read, wonder if something coming with XL!!
I really enjoyed Amir and Nerissa's story. I'm so glad he realized just how toxic his relationship with Brandi was, and how she would basically do anything for clout. How do you tell someone how to propose to you??? Demario, well he and Jules played stupid games and you know what you win when you do that. That bombshell about how Demario came to be in his position was unexpected. Zoya is still a loose end in my opinion so I wonder if that will see a resolution...it really does bring truth to that fact that family will screw you over for real. Now XL, I think he may have a secret of his own so I guess I will find that one out in the next book. While Sienna and Ashan's book was good, I think the author did better with this one because it wasn't all the who, what, and why's at the end. Happy Reading Y'all💋
Hands down some of the worst drug dealers in the game. I mean just rookie mistakes. They're aware that the book with info on their product and stash houses are stolen? Do they move the drugs? No. Do the stash houses get robbed? Yes of course they do. Why wouldn't they move the drugs? That would make too much sense. And not a single person in this book got any.
Amir was giving f boy in the middle of his redemption arc and Nerissa was giving dummy.
The conflict in the 1st book (that I didn't read) is a big part of the conflict in this book. There is mess with Amir's fiance/ex fiance. Drama with Nerissa's half brother. The romance was fine. But I need Amir to give up this life of crime. He wont make it....just dumb.
Tropes; 2nd chance romance and accidental pregnancy.
I enjoyed listening to this crazy love story book 2 :). The relationship between Amir & Brandi was (out of control). I am glad it ended... The Relationship between Damario & Juels was (crazy as hell) both trying to get back at people they lost (in the case of Juels "dreamed about"). the second chance relationship with Amir & Nerissa was ok (oops baby) was thrown in the mix. Glad these 2 Patton Brothers got their loves and I hope that XL gets his turn at love. Nice to see that Ahsan & Sierra were apart of this book as their love story had a few unresolved issues in Book 1. Narration was good.⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was a good follow up from book 1 Ahmir wanted peace in his relationship with Brandi but all she wanted to go is argue and spend money.. that was a lesson learned until he runs into the one that got away Narissa she wanted more in life so did what was best for her and left Ahmir cheating behind but after 2 years he still held a place In her heart..the story was fast paced it picks up where book1 ended and you find out who did what and why 😱😱 but I’m waiting on XL to find love could in be the women In The trunk or Jamia Narissas besty from the skies
Ahsan did not play and I love how he moved in silence!!!!…A man of many thoughts, but few words!!!… Amir and Nerissa had me wanting to pull my hair out, but they finally got it together!!!…I was glad he left his fiancé because baby, she was embarrassing and I don’t and didn’t understand why he wanted to even be in her company!!!…I guess you want them a little crazy until they really show they are crazy!!!… I hope there is a book for XL because I loved his personality!!!…
I was please with the outcome of the Patton brothers, especially for Amir! Amir was given a second chance at love thankfully, be Ahsa Brand in was trifling for real! Nerissa, was just what Amir needed back in his life! Finally Ahsan and Sienna got married! The couples had some jumps in the road, but they came bout on top! Ahsan continue to make care of his family! Those folks that needed to be handled were in the best way!
Holding on to past hurts can block you from the blessings meant for you. Standing in an uncomfortable space for a glimpse of what others have will bring on toxicity that will either make you sick or lose your freedom.
Spinning the block back to your soulmate doesn’t make you crazy just proves you or he weren’t ready for what God created you all to offer each other.
I normally don’t read second chance romances because I feel like they’re predictable but this one right here I can’t even lie, was so good.Amir’s growth was from book 1 to book 2 was a breath of fresh air. All it took was the right woman. Thank god his got his mind right and stopped with all that back and forth with his ex because he definitely would have missed his blessing fr. K.L didn’t let me down with this one. 5/5⭐️ for me
I really love Nerissa for Amir, Brandi with her silly self was never it! They broke up 2 years ago because the love between them scared him and he cheated! Imagine meeting again on a flight during terrible turbulence. That layover proved to be life-changing!!!! The brothers went through a lot to get to the point of peace and happiness! Now 2 of the 3 Patton brothers found love. XL needs someone!
Book 2 really brought a close to a few things that were left hanging in book 1. I enjoyed the second chance for Amir and Nerissa……However, I’m not so sure that I would have been able to say Yes to the proposal so soon after him just getting out of a situation. I loved Ashan’s secret at the end. I was wracking my brain trying to figure out who the responsible party was. Good read!
this is the second book in the Patton Brothers series. Amir and Nerissa's story. Amir was engaged to Brandi and Nerissa was the one that got away. while on a break from Brandi, Amir runs into Nerissa and they have a one night stand which leads to an oooops baby.
the connection between Nerissa, Demario, Zyon, Jules, and Sienna is unreal! Zyon is the loose thread. I hope she gets hers in XL's book. this book was just as good as the first. check it out if urban is your thing.
From the very beginning, Nerissa felt all over the place. Amir, on the other hand, kept running back to Brandy even though it was clear he wanted and needed more. Brandy’s trust issues made it difficult for her to fully let Amir in and she probably needed time alone to work through that. Despite the ups and downs, I enjoyed watching their relationship gradually blossom. Now, I’m excited to dive into XL’s book!
All I can say is K. L. Hall wrote some female characters that needed to sit on that lady’s couch. I had to pause at times because at some point, when are ya’ll going to STOP or even sit back and realize you are doing too much. There are still so many unanswered questions surrounding Demario and Zyon, however some vengeance was definitely sought.
So, here’s why I gave it 3 stars.. This was a good read, but I’m wondering why Nerissa never told Amir or Sienna about Sienna’s shady cousin! That would have been the main thing that should have come out! Also, what happened to Brandi, she just quietly went away after talking all that trash?! Overall, this was a good read, I’m hoping book 3 is good too!
This was good and all of my questions were answered. Brandi was only there for the lifestyle and money. Amir had the world on his back and all she wanted was jewelry. Nerissa gave me a headache with all that overthinking. I liked those two together but a part of me felt like Amir deserved more. Ahsan stayed grounded but also stood on straight business for his family. The connection between Demario and Nerissa shocked me. But why would you want a baby and a lifetime commitment with someone who failed to share something as simple as a family member? Demario, Juels and Zyon all needed to go. I hated how Zyon got off with just a warning. Like girl BFFR and tell your man everything. The ending was missing something, but I enjoyed this read.
I don't know why Amir was even still with Brandi? I was hoping someone would put the paws 🐾🐾 on her. Rizzy couldn't have been mad at Amir for what happened to her brother after everything he did. She knew the life he lived. Ashan is always his brother's keeper.
These Patton boys got me all wound up. Glad to see that Amir was able to put his big boy pants on and think about someone other than himself. Hope that Rizzy can hold onto her trust. Can’t wait to see if my prediction of who XL is going to be with is confirmed.
something told me not to read it. I really enjoyed the first one, but I did not enjoy his character. So when I saw that he had his own book, I shouldn’t have did it but I did it. Did not like this. It had no… Plot? I think the story was great with just part one. No connection between the characters whatsoever. Just a one time sexual experience and a baby. He just seemed like a 30-year-old toddler
I really love how Amir wanted to man up for his child. Brandi and him were toxic AF! Nerissa needed that time away from him. She seems too nice to everyone but she’s the softness that Amir needs.
The delusion in this book is hilarious. From Amir basically cheating having had sex with two girl in the natter of 24 hours. To Rizzy really thinking he didn't have anything to do with her brother. The way Amir and Ahsan be lying is not cute at all lol but go off sis
Amir was doing well in his new role in the family business with some drama mixed in that the Patton men would soon handle! When Amir gets a chance to fix things with his first love, he doesn’t hesitate. A great read!
Omg, from beginning to end, I loved it. These brothers are everything ❤️ definitely book Bae. I couldn't put it down. I ❤️ the chemistry between characters beautiful amazing love story ❤️ 💕 😍
Finally everybody got what they wanted. I thought this author put together some wonderful characters. I know Zyon didn't play too much of a part, but I wish 😔 there was more on how things ended with her. As stated, this was an interesting read.
