ALL HE WANTS IS TO FIND HIS LITTLE BOY. WHAT HE FINDS INSTEAD, IS SOMETHING FAR MORE SINISTER!
After a devastating incident shakes the small fishing town of Weyport, residents blame Michael Tanner for what happened. Ridiculed and shunned, he endures it all for the sake of his little boy, Archie.
Then Archie suddenly disappears, and everyone thinks Michael is imagining it—even his oldest friend.
Hopeless, desperate, and prepared to risk it all, Michael finds compassion in a new deputy who soon discovers there is something far more sinister behind Archie's disappearance.
From the pen of multi-award-winning Christian Suspense author, Urcelia Teixeira, this emotionally gripping, faith-filled suspense thriller takes you on a read-in-one-sitting journey as one man struggles against the evil forces of bitterness and betrayal.
Inspired by Ephesians 4:31-32
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Urcelia Teixeira is an award-winning author of gripping Christian Mystery Thrillers.
You will enjoy her books if you like twisty mysteries tinged with clean action, page-turning suspense, and deep-rooted biblical truths. All her books are free from profanity and unnecessary sexually suggestive scenes.
She made her writing debut in December 2017, kicking off her newly discovered author journey with her fast-paced archaeological adventure thriller novels that readers have described as ‘Indiana Jones meets Lara Croft with a twist of Bourne.’
But, five novels in, and nearly eighteen months later, she had a spiritual awakening, and she wrote the sixth and final book in her Alex Hunt Adventure Thriller series. She now fondly refers to The Caiaphas Code as her redemption book, her statement of faith.
And although this series has reached multiple Amazon Bestseller lists, she took the bold step of following her true calling and switched to writing what naturally flows from her heart and soul: Christian Suspense.
A committed Christian for nearly twenty years, she now lives by the following mantra:
“I used to be just a writer. Now, I am a writer with a purpose!”

Michael Tanner lost it all - his wife, his 5-year-old son Archie, his job, and his reputation - when an accident at work maimed him and killed all those on site. As the book opens, Michael is waiting at the park to spend the day with his son, but he never arrives ... for the second week in a row. Michael needs to find out what happened to his son.
This book, a prequel to the Angus Reid series, is a short Christian suspense inspired by Ephesians 4:31-32.
Teixeira, a new-to-me author, held my attention as Michael struggled with bitterness and betrayal, enduring it all for the sake of his young son.
I won't give it away, but there's something sinister going on and my heart rate went from 0-60 as the emotional upheaval transformed into a gripping police chase, attempted murder and 'kid'napping. I didn't see the twist coming and I really appreciated this faith-filled suspense thriller - enough to continue with the series.
*If you are worried about harm to a child, don't worry, there are no references to it and the 'kid'napping is of an adult.
Such an amazing book about betrayal and answers the question...."How does one move on from this?"

Little Boy Lost is a captivating story with lots of twists and turns. A crooked town sheriff, town secrets, a missing child, and a deputy that decides to get to the bottom of it all. At least Michael Tanner says his son is missing. I had my doubts about him being crazy, but I wasn't ready for the truth that evolved either.
The story had me on the edge of my seat from the danger, suspense, and continual mystery. The ending was a real surprise. I enjoyed the whole experience and wasn't ready for it to end. I especially loved the references to God and how the characters prayed for help. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.
I received a complimentary copy from the author; a positive review is not required. All opinions are my own.
This book illustrates the power of faith and trust in God. Michael the primary character is a broken man. He has been grievously deceived by is ex wife and her lover the town sheriff. Blamed for a tragic accident he didn't commit. The entire town has turned against him. Only a deputy sheriff from another near by town and Michael's landlord believe in him and are willing to prove his innocence. Their faith in god will guide them. An excellent read!!! Enjoyed immensely!!
Wow! An excellent suspense novella! This book is action packed from beginning to end! It has great characters and a unique story! I loved the faith aspect very much! A definite must read! I'm adding this author to my favorites list!
Started reading way too late at night and fell asleep, so basically read in one sitting the next morning on waking. Only 3 stars because it was not really fleshed out and left me “assuming” (which I don’t like to do) much about the characters. I liked the writing style and the mystery- just think it could have been more.
Deceit is an ugly thing. What some people do in the name of love is shocking. I'm at a loss for words. Great story that will leave the reader contemplating for a good long while.
This was quite the story—one I didn’t want to put down! All Michael wants is to spend time with his son, but he’s disappeared. I highly recommend this book.
Read this prequel to the Angus Reid. It was great. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
Edited: after reading Jacob’s Well, this one made more sense.
Little Boy Lost was a great introduction to how Angus Reid became the county sheriff of Weyport. Right from the start you get read about the strong faith Angus had in his God. Faith based Christian fiction books are so much more inspiring and uplifting to read than that of secular books. He knowing that there is a higher power, God who does take pleasure in his creation adds meaning and purpose to a hope that unbelievers don’t have or understand. But I guess you have to be a believer to understand that. Check out this website www.directions2heaven.com if you’d be interested in becoming a believer of the saving grace of Jesus. ***Spoiler Alert *** It’s a story of how a corrupt police officer, Pete Hutchinson, helps the town’s criminals hide and get away with their crimes. Angus Reid (the sheriff from the next town over) tries to help Michael Tanner, who is a victim of the corrupt police officer’s schemes. Michael almost gets killed by Pete. Michael ends up defeating and exposing Pete’s criminal activity, and thus, Angus Reid becomes the new sheriff in town.
I’m so confused. There were some massive holes in the plot of this story.
The father in this story believes he has a little boy with his ex, who says she found out she was pregnant after they divorced. But she’s actually been babysitting a neighbor boy on the weekends and using him as her “son” to get alimony out of the father. But wouldn’t the little boy know she wasn’t his mom? Wouldn’t he know who his dad really was? Wouldn’t all those gossipy moms at the park know exactly what was going on? And we never get a reason as to why his ex married him instead of the crooked sheriff who she apparently was in love with the whole time.
Also, there’s a whole geographical thing happening I don’t understand. Apparently it’s common knowledge in this rural area of Maine which county Las Vegas is located in.
A wonderful inspirational crime drama that leaves you with the thought - who really is the little boy that is lost? Blamed for something he didn’t do, it appears that nothing can work out right for Michael Tanner. Deputy Sheriff Angus Reid wants to help, but at what cost?
An edge of your seat suspense that will keep you wondering, this digital copy was a gift from the author. These impressions and comments are my own and were in no way solicited.
Very short read. Intense story though. Ending is weird. Yes the bad guys get caught but the ending is so sad. Some of the plot is confusing. I think if it was longer and more detailed it would make more sense. Like how did Sheriff Whitley know where to look for Angus? Why didn't Kate just ask for a divorce? Better still, why not just marry the man she loved in the first place? Why did the boy not say anything when called by a different name? None of that (and a few other things) made sense. Anyway, I don't like sad endings so that and the many questions was not satisfying.
This is the prequel to the Angus Reid Mysteries, and it's a great intro to a wonderful series. Angus a deputy here is approached to help find a lost Boy believed stolen away by the mother Michael's ex. Angus, a good detective, realises there is something not right, but he trusts Michael begins his investigation, and little of what it seems apart from there is a rotten smell somewhere in Weyport.
This is a great read there are twists and characters to enliven this novel (novela) and you will discover an incredible author Urcelia and I'm excited to read more more of here work and feel you will specially if you like faith filled stories. I can't help but highly recommend this book.
Little boy lost by Urcelua Teixeria is a novella, a prequel to the Angus Reid series. It offers a very good view of the character, integrity, & faith of Angus Reid as an officer of the law. We could all wish for a man like him for our local sheriff. The evil Sheriff Hutchison, along with Michael Tanner's wife, plotted to frame him for an explosion that killed a number of people. The whole town shuns him. It's an example of what happens when Satan enters the heart & how faith in Christ can redeem awful situations.
This is the first book I have read from this author and I'm gripped, wanting to read more. Michael's son was taken away by his ex-wife and is now wanting to find him. An explosion at a factory had made him hated by the entire town. By contacting the police in the next town over, he is assisted by Angus Reid to solve the disappearance. This is full of action, attacks, bad situations, my mind was jumping all around to try to figure things out. This author uses inspirational scripture to buoy one up, to pick things up and look further. I received a copy and this is my voluntary and honest
What a great story. It is very short but packed with a lot of suspense and mystery. I have the next book in the series to continue on.
A man has been spending time with his son in the park, but one day and doesn't come and not the next week either. He tries calling his X-wife to see what the problem is, but she's gone too. He goes to a sheriff in another town because he doesn't trust the one in his town, and this sheriff is going to help him. The sheriff is Angus Reid, the main character of the series. A bunch happens as soon as the investigation begins.
First time I have read a book by Urcelia Teixeira and it definitely won't be the last. I am hooked after reading Little Boy Lost. This book had so many twists to it. I really thought that Michael was a bad person but then I was happy to find out his real story. I never imagined where this story would lead once Angus Reid stepped in with his army of God's angels backing him. Absolutely powerful Christian writing. Can't wait to read the next book, Jacob's Well.
Michael Tanner is waiting at the park to see his little boy Archie, like he does every weekend, but this time his ex wife and son don't show up. He goes to the police for help but no one want's to help him in that town, do they still have hatred for something that happened years ago? Can deputy Reid from the next town over help him find his missing son? Great book, many twist's to this story.
I really enjoyed this short story, which was my first read by this author. This book has mystery, suspense, a bit of violence, and unexpected emotional loss. It is fast-moving, clean and held my interest right from the first page.
A worthy read. Lots of twists and turns and an interesting story. Bit slow to start but once you get into it it barrels along with enough movement to keep it interesting - would definitely read another book by this author.
Quick read. Really only 4 significant characters. Some others were peripheral, but needed and two were never seen, only mentioned. Definitely nasties and nice. It had some ugly, but not overly graphic events. Resolution was not unexpected, with previous actions twisted.
I received this book from the author as a rough completed book. The copy I read was very good and it appears it has not changed. I received it 2/08/22 and finished on 2/09/22.
