Yumi Tamura's small bits of feminism may not always feel natural in the story, but I always love them anyway.

There are so many different ways this current mystery could go.
Also, loved Totonou's talk about women being educated. Yeah, it isn't his view, but it really interesting to read a way to convince people that women need education that speaks truth AND to the sexist. Many of these conversations and insights he has in the world are so fascinating. This author's mind must truly be interesting.

It took me forever to finish because I was reluctant to wait for the next volume (and dang it, I was right! This one ended on a cliffhanger 😭). Kunou is tapped to help on the mysterious death of an older woman, and a series of coincidental meetings keep popping up. Who is the photographer/journalist pair that keep appearing wherever he goes? Who is Ant, the letter writer sending warnings to various police and reporters about a serial killer?

Currently I have my eye on the cop Nagare, who seems a bit shady. It’s hard to tell if he’s involved or just investigating.

I really like the advice he gives out in this volume, about growing as a person.
