Sasquatch #17

The Wild Man

Rate this book
In the deepest jungles of Sumatra, something ancient still walks.

When Lux Branson receives a cryptic message from a missing anthropologist, she travels to Indonesia in search of the Wildman—a creature whispered about in local legend and feared by those who’ve encountered it. Known as Orang Pendek, the beast is said to be small, fast, and fiercely territorial.

But what begins as a rescue mission quickly turns into a survival story. The jungle holds more than one secret, and Lux isn’t the only one seeking the truth.

As competing teams close in and the body count rises, Lux must stay ahead of deadly rivals and an elusive creature that doesn’t want to be found. Because in this jungle, the most dangerous predator might not be the one you expect.

Wildman is an edge-of-your-seat cryptid thriller set in a world where myth and science collide.

Tomb finally went too far

I've loved the sagas k t tomb has woven with this group of characters. Her themes have simply morphed into weirdness beyond my taste. A sasquatch council with language, secret societies, and human "attendees"? A clear "better get the next book" ending? Her stories and interaction were far better when the cryptids were "animals" in most of her earlier sagas. Thanks for the memories ( nod to Bob Hope) KT but as to further weirdness, I'll pass!
