Issue 6 of the 2023 Transformers Run of Darren Warren Johnson. The Battle of the Factions rages on and the Autobots seem to be at the brink of extinction. But Humanity can offer a sacrifice to make things even.
Still hooked on this one. Brilliant run, devastating and incredible!

Finally…worthy of Generation One Transformers!!!

There’s really nothing to dislike about this comic, from the animation to the storyline, everything has a great connection to Generation One Transformers.

YOU KNOW THE SONG

If one could hear pictures, I'm hearing this book loud and clear! Oh, and modeling combat around wrestling moves? Inspired.

We know the song.

Few hiccups within the issue but always a fun read with great art.

- Cliff Jumper not pulling the trigger. I guess you gotta have Starscream survive somehow (that’s twice now someone has been dead to rights and somehow they survive)
- Kinda confused on the panel of Optimus throwing Devestator off the cliff like how did Optimus get waist level like that. Felt like it was a weird jump in the action and the reader was suppose to just go with it.
- It looked like Carly got her legs (I thought everything below the waist) crushed but she doesn’t seem me bothered by it

DWJ does it again…the action-packed illustration draws you in but you stay for the heartbreaking story. Optimus ripping off Devastator’s finger…goddamn!

An Optimus Prime versus Devastator battle that can only be done by the author of Do a Powerbomb!. What was that saying, "the bigger they are, the harder they fall".

This was a great first arc to a new series of Transformers comics. Full on robot-on-robot violence, and consequences for the squishy humans caught in the middle.

So Optimus Prime goes down but Sparky's dad powers him backup by becoming fuel for Prime's all-spark? Absolutely wild.

A couple funny lines, mostly dark. Ratchet better be okay or I'll be mad.

This was the best issue yet! Starscream is such a cowardly jerk. Spikes Dad is amazing! Artwork is unique gritty magic. And Optimus Prime... what can I say? He is the GOAT! 5/5

Action packed, massive in scope, extraordinarily written, fantastically drawn and beautifully coloured. This series is incredible.

Lots of action in this issue, but I don’t understand how the Dad entering the Matrix powered it up? Like because of his life force?
