Doris Mayweather is a little old lady with a mean streak a mile wide, and very large secrets. The kind of secrets that get people killed.
Those secrets are about to turn Marshmeadow upside down. And as the latest addition to Doris's ever-growing list of enemies, Tennessee Evans finds herself at the center of the storm. Suspected by the police, hunted by a killer, she is desperate to find answers before she winds up a casualty of a vendetta gone wrong. Luckily for her, the good citizens of Marshmeadow and a few friendly (and unfriendly) ghosts are on the case.
Another well done addition to this East House Mysteries series. I'm liking this one even more than the last one. The last one jumped around quite a bit and even had Tennessee out of the way for almost all of the action, but this one is told surrounding blackmail letters that nearly everyone in the small town is getting and it's up to Shania, Tennessee, and the ragtag group of family ghosts to find out who is really behind the blackmail letters. Next one should be intriguing as well and I look forward to it as this series has everything from sweet moments to dramatic rescues, from romantic shots to serious, and from new mysteries and new danger to solving crimes (in often funny and comedic ways).
