Turn up the heat
This book was amazing, if not a little bit teasing. It was kind of a semi closed door romance. The author kept leading up to the exciting moments of heat, only for the next line to be about the next morning. Don’t worry though, we eventually get to the heat that we have come to expect from this author. And she did a wonderful job of portraying the self doubt that both partners experience in any new relationship. Overall this book was well worth reading and I am sure it will be enjoyed by me over and over again.

ARC Review
To Win a Rebel by Sam Crescent has Molly hosting a win-a-date auction to raise money for the local school & library. She isn't getting much participation. She knows she has to convince the inked, tattooed mechanic heartthrob Nate to be one of the dates. He only agrees to it, if he gets a date from her - by his winning bid being the largest. (News Flash - it is.) They go on a date, not the best outcome. We find out they both have been pining for each other. Nate decides he is going to stop wasting time & actively pursue Molly and date.
Up until this point - I was enjoying the story. Before they start anything, Molly asks for a safeword. Nate tells her no safeword , *he is man enough to stop* ...umm - absolutely not! There should always be a safeword. Their first time having §ëx - he literally freaks out that it is painful for her, there is ɓlööɗ & H.E. L.E.A.V.E.S H.E.R. while she was in her bathroom!! AND - avoids her for a week afterwards! Molly is accepting of all of his actions. That definitely shrunk the stars for me. I know Authors really put their blood, sweat, tears & creativity into writing... I am going to list it as 4 stars (as I do like a lot of other books from Sam... but I would say this is really 3 - 3.5 stars - solely from the facts of Nate's explanation of not having a safeword & how he treated Molly's virginity.)

"I've loved her for a long time"... knowing she'd been a virgin, while he'd screwed around, had been a hard pill to swallow.

-I wouldn't consider the hero an alpha, it took him a looong time to make his move, then when he took her virginity he avoided her for days because he knew it had been a painful experience for her, he'd never taken a woman's virginity before and he said the scream she let out would stay with him forever, not cool dude, he should've comforted her instead of running away like a coward while she was in the bathroom... also he saw her going out on dates with other men and still didn't make a move

Nate Sinclair is a hot tattooed mechanic locally and Molly Embers tries to talk him into participating in an Auction to raise money for the school & library. She had gotten the majority of single men in town to sign up and a few women, but she really needed Nate because so many women had asked about him being there. So she makes a deal with him- he’ll go and do it, for a date with her the following night. This of course, makes her freak out mentally. I laughed a lot during this book and wanted to smack a few people a few times. Nate’s bestie, Randy, also works with him and he is married to Bethany and they have three children who Nate is sure possessed by demons. lol. To make sure he gets his way, Nate has a contingency plan and I was impressed as he has had the hots for Molly for quite some time, but always thought she was out of his league. So Nate pretty much chases Molly and knows her secret and she does like him too, but is afraid. I thought it was soooo cute and sweet. Nate is freaking hot and with Molly things got steamy and I had to put the AC on. lol. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I absolutely loved this story, it was a really good, feel good romance that warmed my heart no end.
Molly Embers is a secret author and at the age of thirty is yet to experience any of the feelings she writes about in her books. She has crushed over the town bad boy Nate Sinclair for as long as she can remember but doesn't think a gorgeous hunk like him would look at a quiet, curvy girl like her twice. When Molly sets about to raise money for the local School, library and children. She thinks running an auction will be a sure fire winner but only if she can get Nate to participate. However, Molly doesn't know it yet but Nate has a plan of his own where the Curvy beauty is concerned and he cannot wait to make her his. This truly is such a lovely story, strong characters with instant and amazing chemistry. Nate was so lovable he is definitely on the book boyfriend list. A great read that I do recommend and will read again no question. Happy reading.

Had I bothered to check and realise that it was only 89 pages, I doubt I would have bothered paying for it. £3.09 is a little much for something so small.
The premise is good, the characters are likeable. But it’s such a short story you don’t get much chance to connect. The timeline can jump, annoyingly during a spice scene. So we only really get a few short spicy scenes.
You get the usual trope from the author… plus size FMC who is shy, introverted and very few friends and usually a virgin, being called names by the mean girl. And the husky tattooed MMC who is looking for something to grab on to. It would be nice for once if the author could write a plus size FMC who didn’t have self confidence issues or was a virgin with no friends. The baker, the librarian etc. there are other occupations a plus size introvert can cdo.

The FMC, Molly, is a spicy romance author, though nobody knows, who hasn’t experienced love herself. She has a major crush on the well known town bad boy mechanic Nate and often uses him as inspiration. What she doesn’t know is that the feelings are mutual.
From there on begins a journey of ups and downs to a happy life full of love.
I loved that the story shows that life is different as often in books described, but that’s makes it not less romantic or interesting.
There was some OWD, but the MMC’s both handled that beautifully. I would have liked a bit more working through the drama, which Nate caused and I would have liked to see her immediate reaction to witnessing it, but the story was good as it is.

It's a hard NO from Nate when Molly approached him. To be in the bachelor auction, even for a charity good cause, was not to his liking until he realises it can be used in his favour..in exchange, he demands a date with her.

This was a fun and lighthearted romance that lets Nate finally give it up on not feeling worthy of Molly, and for Molly to grab her chance at seeing what her crush on Nate will lead to. Things may have started off as a 'bet' to benefit the school, but the purpose behind agreeing gives Nate the chance to pursue Molly, full-steam. With fab chemistry, these two find they're perfect together. I loved the fact Nate was a huge fan of Molly's spicy writing and that gave him insight to be successful ;P Good fun!

To Win A Rebel was an recouping and heartwarming book!!! I enjoyed the original storyline it was page-turning and had me laughing and swooning all through this book. The characters had an undeniable chemistry. Nate was broody, intense and knew what he wanted. Bethany is independent, witty and stubborn. This book is a contemporary romance with a little friendish to lovers and a whole lot of spice mixed in. Sam crescent is an amazing author and I love all her books!!!.

Another excellent book by one of my favorite authors, Sam Crescent. This book has lots of steam and spice and is the perfect HEA. Nate is the tattooed "bad boy" mechanic that Molly has secretly been pining over for a while. She doesn't know that Nate feels the same way about her. I love the plot and the building of the relationship between Nate and Molly. I especially loved how Nate defended Molly from the mean girl from Molly's past. This book will be saved in my Read Again folder! Excellent book!

I really admired Nate. When he fell for her, she truly became his whole world, even if she didn’t realize it at first. He was the reason she struggled to connect with anyone else; she just had this special bond with him. His patience during their courtship was heartwarming, and he showed her that he was completely committed. He was determined to win her heart, and in the end, he did!.

I liked this book as it had a good plot and great chemistry between its MCs. I liked the fact that the FMC was innocent yet a steamy romance author. The MMC was a bit of a bad boy who only wants his happily ever after with the girl of his dreams. All the women in town want him but he only wants his girl. I recommend this book to all romance readers.

Nate and Molly, turns out they have been attracted to each other for quite some time but did nothing about it. A fundraiser auction changes that. He is so darn cute with her, caring too. He is also afraid of hurting her. Molly is a strong independent woman who has the courage to fight for Nate. I enjoyed their story. This was more of a sweet romance than the usual books from Ms Crescent

Molly convinces Nate to join the Win a Date auction with conditions. Molly is a quiet and unassuming woman who writes spicy romance novels in secret. Nate has always had a thing for Molly but didn't feel he was good enough. He is the town bad boy that all the women want. I thought he acted a little bit ridiculous after their first time together.

I am not sure who was sneakier: Molly for giving into Nate's charm or Nate for thinking he could slip into Molly's heart. But it started with Nate quietly allowing himself to be bought and ended with... Secrets, hopes, errors and mistakes... - all made by both Nate and Molly, but forgiveness is the hallmark of love and they had that in spades.

Normally I love Sam Crescent's stories but this one isn't one of my favorites. I didn't like Nate because of his actions towards Molly. And Molly let him basically get away with the treatment. That didn't set well with me! The story is short and a lot happens but even though this story didn't set well with me, I will still read anything Ms. Crescent puts out!

Nate and Molly’s story has them getting together when she needs his help but unbeknownst to both of them they each has feelings for the other. Some sexy time off scene and a bad one nighter has him running. Will they get their stuff together to get a hea or will it fail miserably.

What a great quick read. I have read other novels by this author and really enjoyed them. This novella did not disappoint. I was pulled into the story from the first chapter and didn't want to put this novella down. I loved Molly and Nate. I loved their story. It was a quick read but a good one. I loved their chemistry. I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next.

It was alright
The build up was good and it moved along at a nice pace. I didn't like how suddenly some of the end of scenes/chapters cut off. I felt unsatisfied at many points bc the author chose to end a scene (sometimes sexy scenes) and then skip ahead a day/week and use bits of flashbacks to cover the plot hole. I don't know if I'll read anymore from this author

"To Win a Rebel" is the story of Molly and Nate.
Shy heroine is finally courted by the man she has a crush on when he decides enough time has passed and he is done waiting for her to realize he likes her. There's a date auction, loaaaaads of slow courting, an evil OW and HEA.
It was OK! No angst, some OW drama.
