Mystery, romance, and high adventure in parallel dimensions. In this highly anticipated conclusion to the Transcender Trilogy, Jaden Beckett faces her greatest challenges to date. Her choice is clear: leave the love of her life or face certain death. With Warrington Palace under siege, Jaden and Ryder are wrenched away from each other, as the powerful Inter-Universal Guidance Agency seeks Jaden’s ultimate demise. Heartsick and alone, she begins a new chapter of life as a Transcender, only to discover that her fiercest battle is yet to come. Is Jaden safe anywhere in the galaxy? Or should IUGA ask itself that question, having underestimated her before? With her usual wit and tenacity, Jaden fights to discover her place in the multiverse, the true meaning of destiny, and the keys to the mystery of eternal love.

I love Vicky Savage's Transcenders trilogy so much, and I'm a little sad it's over. There's nothing I like more than a good ending, though, and Illuminosity is definitely a good ending.
At the end of Streaming Stars, Jaden finds out that horrible things are going to befall everyone she loves, and I expected Illuminosity to be spent fixing things in Domerica and giving her a happily ever after. But we establish in chapter 1 via Ralston's future-predictor device that there is no way for that to happen. Instead, Jaden spends the first part of the book preparing to guarantee everyone else's safety by leaving them behind.
And so, the first quarter of the book goes by smoothly. Perhaps even a liiiiiiittle too smoothly. Jaden was so much surrounded by people she could trust completely that I spent some time expecting one of them to turn out to be evil. But, really, during all Jaden's good-by saying, I really felt for her. Tears even came to my eyes a few times. But mostly everything was smooth until BAM! I was hit by a plot twist I completely did not expect, and it shaped the course of the rest of the novel.
The rest of the story was beautiful and interesting, with Jaden learning about her new world. The world---or worlds, really---were so interesting that I found myself hoping to see more books set in the Transcender universe, just so I could see more of it. I might have spent a tad more time than was necessary hoping Team Urick would become a viable option (What? He was awesome. He had me at "face of an angel." We're ignoring the one sexist scene), but overall I was rooting for Jaden on her quest to become a Transcender and bring down the evil acronym.
Go. Read the trilogy. You know you want to. You won't regret it.
I received the book from the author for an honest review.
This is book 3 in the Transcender Trilogy, and a very long awaited conclusion to the trilogy. The story starts where book 2 ended, and since it had been awhile that I have read the first two books, it took me a few pages to get in the plot again. The author did a splendid work continuing the tale as you became part of Jaden and her life in an alternative world. With so many twists in the story the author draws you in quickly so that you feel part of it; experiencing all the turmoil, the happiness and loneliness with the main character. Through each scene you could really connect with Jaden, her life and her friends. Some of the supporting characters became more prominent within this book; with Narowyn's character that became not only a supporter but a true friend to Jaden during her adventures. I liked Asher's role as well, the way they handled the new twists; the whole set up really kept my interest, wondering what the outcome would be. Ryder's role, although more subtle, really had me wondering at times. The grieve and turmoil, but also the love that he felt for her, was really remarkable. And, may I add, I really loved this character. He was just the perfect hero for the role.
And just as with the previous books in the series, I was not disappointed. A great book, and wonderful series I can recommend to all readers. Written with relaxed ease, so that the reader could enjoy the whole story.
*Happy but emotionally spent sigh* This is a stunning ending to the trilogy. While several books have made me cry, few put a constant lump in my throat and knot in my stomach throughout (and I mean that in the best way). My heart broke over and over for Jaden in this, and I can't even begin to say how utterly real and moving the emotions are. I thought Jaden faced a lot in the second book, but this brings whole new levels of challenges to her life. But even in all the despair and heartache going on, there is so much hope and fight surrounding it.
The way everything unfolds is breathtaking. It's the longest novel of the three, and it uses every page to its best advantage. Just like the other two, it had me consumed from the beginning. While the ending was certainly not what I expected from the first book, I now couldn't have seen it ending any other way. It felt so right and just rang perfectly true to the story and the characters. Vicky Savage has written a trilogy that just takes your heart by the end. I feel like the best books leave me with a little different perspective when I finally look up from the last page, and Illuminosity has done that. I'm now taking a comfortable spot on the edge of my seat to wait for her next work."
The Cover & Title are Intriguing! But the story is written a bit dull. However, the remarkable scenery that changes with each chapter &/or inbetween the time-periods held me in the headlock. I like the whole thought of traveling dimensions with the protagonist, it's been a fun surf. I was inspired by the ordeal of money-riches or the unique antiques that could be found on every other planet were valueless, unless you were there to live, being the protagonist were one to browse around from planet to the next. This novel is like a dimension of its own, one that unlocks the understanding of seeing how life in itself is the most valuable, than items that're planetary made. It also opens light on why any foreign-Elements shouldn't be used to interrupt with elements of nature, with ones very own home grounds.. The Technology had me jealous. & I wouldn't be surprised if it actually exists.
The scenes are all vividly pretty; reminds me of a videogame, in high definition!"
I received this book through the Goodreads Giveaways and Vicky was kind enough to send me the first two via e-mail as well. I was in love with these books from beginning to end! I couldn't put them down, I had to force myself to stop reading so I wouldn't go through them too fast. Kudos Vicky, amazing reads!
