At the Alien Hotel #3

Oh No, I Shot A Spaceship And Kissed An Alien Cyberchef: A Sci-Fi Alien Romance Short Story

Rate this book
Nothing says 'five-star hospitality' quite like accidentally blasting an alien ship out of the sky.

Welcome to my life at the Alien Hotel. My days are a delightful cocktail of wrestling with the demonic NutriSynth, dodging kitchen fires, and trying not to murder our cyborg chef, Nelan. Did I mention he's irritatingly handsome? Because that's totally irrelevant and not at all distracting.

Now we've got a VIP guest - you know, the one whose ship I nearly vaporized. No pressure or anything. Just gotta whip up an apology feast while Nelan critiques my every move. It's fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine.

Oh, and apparently I'm developing feelings for Mr. Perfectionist Chef. Because clearly, my life wasn't complicated enough already. Who needs peace and quiet when you can have sarcasm and sexual tension, right?

"Oh No, I Shot A Spaceship And Kissed An Alien Cyberchef" is a hilarious, steamy sci-fi romance set in the "At The Alien Hotel" series that you won't be able to put down. Expect intergalactic misunderstandings, kitchen disasters, and a love that proves even the most mismatched ingredients can create the perfect recipe. Aliens and burnt entrees sold separately.

Another super cute, quick read in the Alien Hotel series by Kate Sinner.

In a cosmos full of synthetic foods, human Laura longs for the cuisine of her heritage she learned to make at her abuela’s side. In space, however, she’s got to work with whatever’s on hand. When a high ranking general arrives at the hotel accompanied by troops, a panicked Laura accidentally causes a weapon to discharge, then tries to remedy the situation by plunging the resort into a blackout in the hopes of creating plausible deniability so it’s not viewed as an act of aggression. The downside is she’s got to prepare meals without benefit of the FoodSynth and she has no idea how that’ll work. Her only option is to collaborate with the alien who alternately grates on her nerves and makes her heart beat faster.

Having narrowly escaped his oppressive home planet when the Prince abdicated the throne and exiled himself to run the alien hotel, Nelan has been working in the kitchen alongside the very attractive and infuriating human Laura. The general and his troops arriving puts him in a different sort of peril than the others as he’d run afoul of the tyrannical leader when he worked in Prince Rist’s palace.

As he and Laura work side by side to feed the unexpected guests, they reach a truce and when the work is complete, Laura plants a breathtaking kiss on Nelan, and they end up in his room all night.

The general’s continued presence is fraught with landmines as Nelan attempts to conceal his past dealings with him. The growing feelings between Laura and Nelan are also complicating his plans to slip away unnoticed.

I was fortunate to have received an advance reader copy from the author and booksprout, and I’m pleased to be sharing my honest review.

Laura, the female human cook lead, has been clashing with Nelan, the male alien chef with a prosthetic arm, since they arrived in the same kitchen. She believes things need to be cooked with real ingredients; he’s happy to create food using a synthesiser. But he’s also sure that she’s female and precious and shouldn’t be serving in a kitchen. Then he realises that she wants to be there, and that begins to make all the difference.

But Laura is clumsy and has accidentally shot rocket turret fire at the incoming general’s spaceship. Can they make up for the error with a fantastic meal? And what will they do when Nelan’s past catches up with him?

This novella is dual POV, well written, and a sweet and steamy, sci fi romantic comedy. I enjoyed Laura’s conviction that cooking was showing love and so needed to be manually done. I enjoyed Nelan’s changing perspective on his own value, as well as the value of manual cooking. I enjoyed that Laura was clear that she didn’t want a warrior, helping Nelan overcome inferiority issues in a warrior society. I enjoyed Nelan’s understanding of Laura’s past. I laughed at the shenanigans throughout the story. I enjoyed the general’s compassion. I’m enjoying the non-romance plot that continues through the series and am looking forward to more.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

I love the humor in this series. Once again one of the female human refugees, Laura has stirred up an incident. This time most of the action takes place in the kitchen or the bedroom. Laura, a self proclaimed chef and Nelan, the hotel chef seem to be at cross purposes. Not for long, though. Once they loosen up and communicate things get spicy.

Grumpy Sunshine trope. A bit of romcom mixed with suspense of two chefs finding love. Enjoyed connecting with characters from previous stories. Love that the kitchen is sort of the heart of the hotel where everyone congregates,.

Technology is NOT her friend!

Everyone at the Alien Hotel is an outcast in one way or another. The Earthling women were forcibly taken from Earth. Former assassins have found refuge along with others accused of crimes. The Prince lost the war to his brother after their father was assassinated. They are exiles, but they have formed a family. They may squabble at times, but they have each other's backs.

Laura is an Earthling working as a chef at the Alien Hotel. She really has trouble grasping the technologies used in space and at the hotel. Even trying to make a cup of "coffee" is a daunting task for her. The translator chips are only meant for spoken languages. She can't understand Nelan's disdain for cooking meals. He prefers serving manufactured meals. It is mostly trial and error when trying to recreate Earth's recipes in outer space.

Nelan is a Volscian with ruby-red skin, pitch-black eyes, long black hair, sharp horns that sprout from his hairline, and a pointy-tipped tail. His home planet is Latium, where he was a hotshot chef prior to being fitted with a prosthetic arm.

The hotel is expecting a visit from a VIP Volscian Military General Karzak. While several hotel employees are gathered in the kitchen, Elana, an Earthling mated to Sutek, a sometimes ex-assassin, joins them. Shortly after that, Sutek enters carrying a remote to the hotel's defense system, which he brought to show Elana. She loves and admires weapons as much as he does. When he casually tosses it up into the air, he fails to catch it. It clatters to the floor, landing close to Laura. She picks it up to return it to him, but accidentally armed it. Yes, she almost blew up the General's spaceship. Luckily, he treated it as a drill. But in trying to disarm it, the hotel now has no power. Good old-fashioned cooking, rather than manufactured meals or their MRE equivalent, is the only solution.

Laura loves to cook, especially recipes from her Mexican family background. Even without the knowledge of the ingredients available to her, she surprises him with her ability to use them to create correct flavor profiles. All this time, he thought she'd been forced to do so.

On his planet, a kitchen, especially a very busy one, is considered to be too stressful for females. Their females are catered to and waited on by the males. She may think he dislikes or even hates her, but in truth, he's wildly attracted to her. In his eyes because of his prosthetic arm, he's unworthy of her. So if he can't be her mate, he'll be the best friend she can ever hope to have.

But she's reached a point in her life where she likes making her own decisions. On Earth, she believed she was worthless even though in her heart she knew she wasn't. No more of that! When murder is attempted using food prepared by her and Nelan, heads will roll!

Gleeful Goblin Review: Every installment of this series is such a kick. The author has a delightful writing style and sense of humor that serves every couple in this series very well. I especially enjoyed this book because of interactions like this in the very first chapter between our main characters: “Look,” I say, trying to keep my voice level, refusing to acknowledge him and how he makes me want to squirm, “I appreciate your concern, but I can handle making a simple cup of not-coffee. I’m not completely helpless, you know. I’ve mastered the art of burning toast and overcooking pasta. This is simply just the next step in my culinary journey.” I laugh, though there’s no real humor behind it. I’m just grateful that my voice doesn’t crack on that last statement. I’ve been helpless more times than anyone should. I’m determined to never, ever, let it happen again. I just have to keep pushing, that’s all. Fake it ’til you make it, right? Even if “making it” in this case means not electrocutíng myself with alien kitchenware. When I glance over my shoulder, Nelan’s expression has hardened into his usual scowl. This guy does not know how to smile, at all. “I never suggested you were helpless. Merely... incompetent with our technology.” “Oh, because that’s so much better,” I snap. “Well, maybe if someone had bothered to give me a proper tutorial instead of just expecting me to figure it out on my own—” “You seemed quite insistent on doing things your way,” Nelan interrupts, his tone icy. “I believe your exact words were ‘back off, space boy, I’ve got this.’” I feel heat rising in my cheeks. Okay, so maybe I had been a bit stubborn about learning to use the alien tech. But after years of being told what to do and how to do it, I’ve developed a bit of an independent streak. Sue me. Or don’t. I can’t even figure out how to make coffee, let alone the intricacies of planetary law."

I got such a kick out of reading this book because even though I personally hate cooking I love watching shows like The Bear, all of the Gordon Ramsay franchises, Chopped, etc. So the chaos energy in this book being focused around cooking and a romance heating up? SIGN ME UP IMMEDIATELY. I burnt through this book and enjoyed every minute. 5/5 Stars.

Oopsie . . .

Well, this book starts out at a fast pace when Laura does battle with a NutriSynth machine which she is trying to use to make coffee. The other human women will be here soon and expect their coffee. So she hits the machine, because that sometimes works on Earth, right? And it goes dark. Well, looks like she broke it. The cyborg chef Nelan walks up but she refuses to tell him she can’t even make coffee. He sees the machine now blinking and a scorch mark on the ceiling! So she starts pushing buttons, only to have the machine spit out sparks. She is already an expert at burning toast and overcooking pasta. This little setback is merely the next step in her culinary journey to excellence. It’s their fault for not training her, even though she had said ‘back off, space boy, I’ve got this’ when he tried to help her before.

When Charlotte tells her a top-tier, fancy-pants, VIP guest is about to arrive at the Alien Hotel, a Volscian military general, no one can figure out why. Sutek enters the kitchen and holds up something like a remote control -- the newest thing in perimeter defense technology, he says. He hurries over to show it to his mate, but he drops it and it slides to Laura’s feet. She picks it up and hears it beep when her thumb moves something, and the kitchen starts to rumble. A deafening boom follows. Nelan runs from the freezer and immediately looks at Laura to ask what she just did. So she explained that she just had a little accident and thinks she just shot an alien ship out of the sky with missile launchers… and it might have been the General’s ship. Only one thing could make things worse… letting Laura cook up an apology dish for the General she almost killed. They wouldn’t allow that, would they???

Since I am laughing too hard to continue typing, I strongly urge you to grab this amazing book and find out if there are any survivors left by the end of the story. And if we mix in a little romance… nah, the author wouldn’t take us there, would she?

Another enjoyable read involving the aliens and humans residing at the hotel, and although it's the last book I do wonder if there will be more as there is room for other tales to be told set in this universe (one can only hope). I've loved everything about this series, the humor, the characters, the action and the overall premises of the story. I've also realised during reading these, that I now have a 'thing' for alien romance which I'll now be hunting down more of, because why not. These books are fun, easy reads with a dash of spice that have HEA to make you smile.

I totally adored both the leads in this one and out of all the books, I have to say they were my favourite couple they were just so cute, especially Nelan.
Working in the kitchen at the alien hotel, Laura spends her day avoiding the dreaded Nutrisynth machine and bickering with the cyborg chef, Nelan. And although she has convinced herself she is not a romantic and she never wants anything to do with anyone again, she does harbour some attraction to the alien chef she works with. But when she accidentally shoots down the VIP guests ship, and takes out the power to the hotel, she has to work closely with the perfectionist who rules the kitchen. Nelan is just a complete cutie pie, unlike others of his race he has always wanted to be a chef, not a warrior, he's not a fighter unless it's with Laura, but he can whip up some fantastic dishes. Sure he can be a bit OCD on how they are prepared (who wouldn't be) and it's delightful to see the snarky banter between the two. I've always had a thing for a guy who can cook, so I found him utterly adorable.

Yeah this was definitely a fun series and as I said before I do hope there are more as I'm not quite ready to check out of the alien hotel permanently, and being short reads you can do these in a few hours. So if you like a light, sweet romance involving aliens, I totally recommend these books. 😁

Oh No, I Shot An Alien Spaceship And Kissed A Cyber Chef, is the third book in The Alien Hotel Series by Kate Sinner. Ever since the Yum Yum‘s were released at the hotel the tention between Laura and Nallen was obvious but when Laura accidentally zaps an alien spaceship and causes the lights to go out right before and honored guest is arriving at the alien hotel. She is surprised when the Moody Sheff is there to help it isn’t long before the thin line between love and hate is blurred and things get crazy in the dark. I really love these books and find them so funny although there are a couple of things I don’t like about them it is the one thing that I believe others love so I will leave that unmentioned the reason I keep reading these books is for the great writing in the hilarity because trust me these books are funny not to mention Kate sinner has a great knack for making her female characters individuals and not the same one over and over again. With sexy demonic looking male aliens and lonely female humans it’s inevitable that they bridge the distance but the funniness that ensues in the interim is so worth reading. I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next one. I do want to mention I found it so funny when Nallen tried to say Abuela I DK why but every time I think about it, it makes me laugh out loud not to mention all the accidents that the alien tourists look at its experiences that you can only have at the alien hotel… This really is a brilliantly funny book in one as I said so many times I love!

Talk about accidental! Not only do Laura and Chef Nelan not get along but every time he touches her, he makes her feel a "zing".
The hotel they live and work in, is expecting a guest, a General. But in a purely freak accident, Laura shoots a missile at his ship! When she has to prepare a meal to impress their visitors, Nelan and she must work together. It's then that they admit, to themselves, that they have feelings for each other. It's very soon after that that she turns to him needing comfort in a moment of fear and uncertainty. And he must admit that he loves the way his mate isn't afraid to say what she needs. Wait. . his mate?!
With his secret past, can he really let go and openly love her? How would she feel if she ever found out? Can he keep her safe?
Can she separate him from her past and trust him with her feelings, her heart?
Suddenly, Nelan's worst nightmare has come true and she and all who live in the Hotel will find a way to save their friend, her mate.
Good characters and backstories and it made me want to keep reading. I like how she became his very capable defense attorney. I will continue with this series.

If you can’t stand the heat…get out of the kitchen 😊

“Because that’s who I am. Laura Rodriguez – survivor, friend, kick-ass chef, and maybe, just maybe, a woman learning to love again.”

“I pass her the fruit, careful to keep my own throbbing fruit hidden beneath the counter’s edge. Who knew cooking could be so... stimulating?”

Can Laura learn to trust again? Next book in the Alien Hotel Series and an excellent one at that. Laura, another abducted human who has found safety at the hotel is living her best life as a chef. Sure there are some hiccups with cooking when literally all the ingredients are alien - but what’s a woman to do except make alien lemonade with those “🍋s”. Joining her for steamy times is Nelan, who used to be a royal chef but she is wary of her attraction because of a previous abusive relationship. Being willing to be open to love is an issue for both of them. Add in a side story about a Volscian military general as well as some hilarious “girl talks” with the rest of the ladies and I stayed up late to finish once again 😁.

Chef Laura is struggling to find her place after an abusive ex-boyfriend and being abducted. While she's grateful to be at the Alien Hotel, she constantly buts heads with the Volscian chef, Nelan, over the use of technology in the kitchen. When an important general visits the hotel and a power outage occurs, Nelan and Laura are forced to work together to cook for everyone and sparks fly. Can Laura trust another male again with her heart?

Oh No, I Shot a Spaceship and Kissed an Alien Cyberchef is a fun novella with two mildly traumatized main characters. Nelan struggles with feelings of inadequacy and assumptions of judgement of his cybernetic hand. Laura is deeply scarred from the emotional abuse of her ex, and struggles to trust others and believe in herself. The story is quick paced, but the characters take a believable amount of time to address their misgivings, creating a delightful tale of learning to move on past trauma. Overall, it's an excellent addition to the Alien Hotel series.

"Oh No! I Shot a Spaceship and Kissed an Alien Cyberchef" by Kate Sinner was an absolute fun read! I wish it was longer. I love the story of Laura and Nelan!

This is the first book I've ever read by Kate Sinner, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it! She has created a wonderful alien hotel that serves as a refuge for human abductees who are finding their place in this sanctuary, as well as their mates. Laura's story is incredibly relatable!

She has been in a relationship where she was constantly put down, and as a result, she still carries those insecurities with her, engaging in a lot of negative self-talk. Nelan is not much different; he believes that Laura judges him or thinks less of him because of his cybernetic arm. He feels that he is less of a man because of it. Both of them are remarkably similar, and they quietly harbor feelings for one another, which is truly endearing for the reader.

But one sporadic kiss is all it takes! It just kicks off! And these 2 just BAM! Kate really brings the lovges, storyline, a touch of mystery, and serves some justice too. I really enjoyed this story. Like I said I wish it was long, just because it was THAT GOOD!!

After being abducted by aliens, Laura (h) ends up in a remote space hotel, where she's trying to make the best of things, until she accidentally shoots down a spaceship. Now, she has to cook an important meal for high-ranking Volscian General Karzak to smooth things over. She has to work alongside Nelan (H), the hotel’s grumpy alien chef, whose rigid perfectionism clashes with her more chaotic cooking style. As they deal with kitchen disasters, Nelan and Laura bond over shared love for cooking, though their feelings for each other create additional tension. But a new challenge arises when Karzak is poisoned, and Nelan is accused of the crime. With her feelings for Nelan on the line, Laura teams up with her friends to uncover the real culprit. Laura struggles with feelings of insecurity and has to face her self-doubts as she stands up for Nelan and proves him innocent. Hot and steamy alien-human romance, with a side of humor and some culinary chaos, exploring love, connection, misunderstandings, respect, and support.

Laura, a human refugee at the eponymous hotel, clashes with chef Nelan on the daily. She cooks for the humans, he for guests. Their approach to the kitchen couldn’t be more different — he’s structured and she’s messy — not to mention their preferred cooking methods (technology vs homemade). She’s attracted to him but has vowed to herself that she’ll never depend on a man again, while Nelan’s in love with Laura and wants nothing more than to take care of her. The arrival of a VIP guest causes the tension between the two to boil over, but how far into her heart is Laura willing to allow Nelan to go?

I love this whole series and look forward to each book. They just get better and better. Nelan is the ultimate book boyfriend. He’s sweet, thoughtful and willing to sacrifice his own happiness for hers. And he’s pretty darn hot in the bedroom too! 🔥🥵🌶️ He’s not afraid to take direction, either — in the kitchen and in the sheets 😉.

I can’t wait to see who finds their mate at the hotel next — Charlotte, maybe?.

Okay, so Nolen is this alien chef who's totally into his human assistant Laura, and she's feeling the same way. But Nolen's got this whole "I'm not good enough for her because I'm disabled" thing going on, while Laura's just dealing with her own baggage from Earth. And I'm just sitting here like, "Dude, she loves cooking and taking care of others! Sure, she's messy, you're a neat freak, but come on—open your eyes, mate!" Their banter is everything, and the way they look out for each other, especially when she literally saves his life, had me hooked. The spice? On point. Plus, the found family vibe in this book really shines, and I loved seeing familiar faces from the earlier books in the series. Oh, and the alien translators? Hilarious—especially when they throw out lines like [Come up with a better insult here] 🤣. If you’re into cute, spicy alien novellas, this one’s the perfect palate cleanser or slump buster!

I really loved this short, sweet and humorous sci-fi romance with some mystery involved. I love the overall story arc in this series with an exiled Prince who rescues refugees and anyone who needs help, and a hotel that makes accidents look like guest experiences! This story starts off with our FMC Laura accidentally shooting a missile towards a visiting General's ship. When said general is poisoned in her kitchen and her wonderful love interest Nelan is blamed, she shows loyalty, bravery, and resourcefulness as she staunchly defends him. Nelan is a sweet Volscian male who falls for Laura and only wants to make her happy. This is a well written page-turner with a wonderful cast of background characters. I really enjoyed Kate Sinner's sense of humour and her world building, and I always look forward to her next book.

This is the third book in a series and is focused on Laura and Nelan. Both work in the kitchen at the hotel but Nelan wants to use the Nutrisynth push buttons and perfect food comes out system while Laura wants to cook "old school". They have tension going on the whole time. For Laura, she is always trying to maintain her independence after escaping an abusive relationship and Nelan has his own baggage after losing an arm during the revolt. At lot of this book ends up focusing on accepting our pasts as parts of us but not letting them control our present. It also had a lot of women supporting each other which is always amazing to see. I enjoyed this book, the characters were fun and more complex than they first appear. The plot was paced well and the spice was well written too.

This is the third book in the “At the Alien Hotel” series and it was fun story filled with emotion. Laura is struggling to find her place in her new world. She misses the homestyle cooking from home, but she is surrounded by food created by machines. She accidently shoots their visiting guest out of the sky and makes a desperate move in shutting off all power to the hotel.

Nelan is the grumpy chef who is baffled, but attracted, by the stubborn human female. He is haunted by past events and feels Laura deserves better than him. With an important VIP guest needing to be impressed these two need to work together to save the hotel from ruin.

This was a quick and thoroughly enjoyable read. I have loved the world building and characters throughout the series and am looking forward to the next instalment.

Laura was abducted, rescued and given sanctuary at the Alien Hotel with many other women. She loves to cook, constantly makes a big mess and drives Nelan a Cyberchef crazy. Nelan loves Laura, wants to take care of her. They are delightful together, A general comes to speak to Prince Rist. Laura and Nelan will have many challenges, a poisoned general, dangerous enemie, lies, imprisonment, find true culprit in poisoning and their future happiness. Marvellous stories and delightful reading. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Nelan and Laura
This story tells about two people who have sorted past that makes them believe they're not worthy of love. Laura's ex on Earth would verbally and emotionally abuse her. Nelan was accused of poisoning, when he was innocent. Attracted to one another yet thinking they're not good enough to be together. Once they let their guard down, love blooms but not without an unfortunate event over shadow their new relationship. I liked how it was Laura that came to Nelan rescue with her wit as a weapon.
I love this series. A group of refugees coming together to build and work at a hotel. So many rememberal characters, steamy, found family, relationship abuse, false accusations, forgiveness, redemption and HEA.

I want a Vacay At The Alien Hotel!

Oh No, I Shot A Spaceship And Kissed An Alien Cyberchef is book 3 in the At The Alien Hotel series. This can be read as a standalone book but I really recommend reading the series in order. Characters and events in the previous book appear here and they are all too amusing to miss! And, absolutely be sure to read Oh No, I Got Myself Abducted And Kissed An Alien Pirate which is a Prequel to the entire series.

The books in the At the Alien Hotel series are always fun and quirky with tons of humor. Alien Chef Nelan and Human Chef Laura butt heads at the drop of a toque. There is a bounty of kitchen antics, a dash of danger, a sprinkle of adventure, tasty and spicy attraction, plenty of found family and tons of chaos. I can’t wait for another book in this clever and entertaining series!

Kate does it again!

She has really created a world that is realistic filled with cinnamon roll aliens and very real life human women. What I love the most about this storyline and overlapping arc is that each couple has a story that complements each other and they learn to not only accept the plight but to terms of their new reality.

Lauren and Nelan are perfect for each other because of their past trauma. Once you learn of each of their past you understand the hesitation or the walls built as protection.

With the introduction of the General, and the reminder of Taruk, there are two stories I am definitely looking forward to. And let us not forget Prince Rist....the drama is real!!!!

S/N: one of the best lines - Some of these aliens are so literal it’s amazing they’ve even managed to survive to adulthood.

This was a cute alien romance story that's about Laura and the chef Nelan. It was an enjoyable story to read. Laura and Nelan are wonderful characters for their interactions were interesting and their romance was steamy in this mishap story. Laura accidently shoots a missile at the General's ship while he was arriving to visit. To cover up the misdeed Laura blackouts the hotel. Now Laura has to prepare and feed the general and his troops. Laura gets Nelan the cook to help since she the worst in the kitchen. Nelan our cook is hiding from the General who he knows from his past. As their feelings bloom, will they be able to pull it off? I volunteer to read and review this copy I'd received.

The third book in the Alien Hotel series provides another humorous adventure with leads
Laura and Nelan the hotels chefs cooking up angst with each other in the kitchen.
When Laura accidentally presses the wrong button on a remote that nearly vaporizes a visiting general’s spaceship the race is on to whip up the perfect apology meal.
A delightfully written short story that involves a mystery, intrigue, romance, found family, spice, and enemies-to-lovers, I enjoyed this newest entertaining Oh No escapade.

I love these pairings from the Alien Hotel. This time it is the chefs finding the right combination of sweet and spicy in the kitchen. They have both have awful things from their pasts which are holding them back. Laura needs to bring down her walls and learn to let in the light. She's been abused and abducted so finding the strength to put it behind her needs a special ingredient. Nelan is trapped in his own head with his harsh past and also the fact that he believes that he is perceived to be less. What he needs is a challenge... These two bring out the best in each other once they realise their own true feelings. What is that saying about love and hate again??

We are back at the Alien Hotel., and in the kitchen. Laura, a human woman, and Nelan, a Cyborg Volscian chef, are sort of working together in the hotel kitchen. What they do best is bicker about kitchen methods. The disagreement of the moment stems from the desire for a good cup of “not coffee.” Things get hectic when an important Volscian General arrives at the hotel. This is an entertaining story with great characters, lots of humor, an attempted murder, some hard truths about the past, and an unexpected, delicious romance. Another great story in this entertaining series.

This steamy and humorous sci-fi romance is set in the "At The Alien Hotel" series and gets better with each new book.
It's like a palate cleanser but with a shared storyline that is captivating and often complex .
Nelan and Laura will steal your heart!
There are intergalactic misunderstandings, kitchen disasters, friends that are solid and a love that grows between two damaged souls ,overstepping their insecurities.
Left me with a smile in my face and already wanting to read the next book!.
