She’s forbidden, but I don’t care. The only thing standing in my way now? My own son.
Tom
Winning Coach of the Year after winning the NCAA Championship should be the peak of my career. But when Ally steps into the room with her camera, looking at me like I’m still the only one who ever really saw her, it’s all I can do to keep my cool.
Because she’s not just any woman; she’s my son’s ex-girlfriend, the one Nick tried to keep on a leash for far too long. And if that boy knew a damn thing about respect, he’d know I don’t give a damn what anyone thinks of this. Nick and I were broken long before Ally came into our lives, thanks to his mother’s lies.
Ally knows what she’s doing when she looks at me like that, and she knows I’m not the kind of man to hold back.
But there’s something darker behind her eyes, a secret she’s holding back—a secret Nick is using to control her. And if he tries to put her through hell one more time, he’s going to learn exactly what it means to take something from me.
Ally
I was never supposed to fall for Tom.
He was off-limits, the kind of man a girl like me should never dream about. But Tom is nothing like his son. While Nick tried to control me, Tom made me feel safe—and wanted. And even now, after all the ways Nick has twisted and turned my life, Tom is the one I want.
But it’s not that simple. Nick’s threats still hang over me, every demand pushing me deeper into a corner, a cage he made for me just to keep me close. And now, the one thing he doesn’t know—the thing that changes everything—is threatening to rip all of us apart.
Because if Tom finds out what I’ve been hiding, even he might not be able to forgive me.
Boards & Betrayal is a stand-alone forbidden dark hockey romance featuring a fierce, possessive hockey coach willing to fight anyone—family included—to protect the one woman who was never meant to be his, and a determined heroine who finds the courage to claim her own freedom, no matter the cost. It has a guaranteed HEA and no cliffhanger.
Full disclosure: I am an acquired taste. I'm a typical blonde Orange County suburbanite who says 'like' more than necessary, laughs loud and probably obnoxiously, and loves to dance in the rain. I'm a 23 year old college graduate with more than a few tricks up my sleeve, and I also happen to be a pretty big Ducks fan. Oh, and I'm a writer. Like, for real.
Holy moly. That book had all the emotional impact of a speeding bullet train. Filled with spice and all kinds of “forbidden” vibes, Ally and Tom’s story was one that hooked me immediately and wouldn’t let go until I reached the end. I kind of don’t know how I feel about this book, it asked me to feel so much. What I do know is that I can’t wait to discover what comes next. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book through Booksprout.
I'll be honest, this book hit me hard. Some of the topics discussed in this book could certainly be trigger warnings for a lot of people. I'm glad I read it. I'm glad that Myers wrote it and every word felt raw and like I was reading the story of someone else's life and the tragedy of loss that so many women face in this lifetime.
Writing a story like this takes courage. It takes stepping outside the boundaries and hoping that people read it and it resonates. For me, it was hard to read but the story itself was so good. I absolutely loved Tom and the way he treated Ally. I understood her reluctance to share her deepest secrets. I'm sure it's not an easy thing to do especially when so many things weigh on your mind. What happens next? Will they stick around? Will I ever be able to have a healthy happy life?
I so disliked Nick, from the beginning and honestly, if Tom hadn't punched him I wanted to reach right through my Kindle and do it myself. I found the dynamics between this father and son duo unbelievably sad, but unfortunately, it happens in life. Not every relationship works. Not everything ends up hunky dory and I'm so glad Myers didn't give us a they lived happily ever after, because they don't always.
Yes, Tom and Ally did get their happily ever after and maybe, just maybe that's all they really needed. To find their person. Heck, thats all most of us need. To find that one person who sees through the facade and says I see you, the real you, and I'm not going anywhere. "You're it for me."
I can't count how many times Tom said it in this story but every time he did I swooned just a bit.
I don't want to give too much of the story away, so I won't but I will say Boards & Betrayal is a story worth reading. It's one that will definitely stick with me for a long while.
This whole series was an amazing rollercoaster for me and my sanity, but this story takes the cake. I simultaneously loved and was reluctant to read it through! Very difficult things happen that left me struggling to breathe. I won’t divulge into the plot too much in this one – I think it will spoil it for most readers if I do. The only things I will say is that Ally suffered a life-changing loss at a young age. Tom is a mature one – a successful coach with a star-athlete son and a quite bad relationship between them. How fate decides to unite these to seemingly star-crossed souls? I couldn’t put my kindle down. Just know that the feelings run high in this one. It was difficult at times (many triggers, guys, so proceed with caution). I LOVED both Tom and Ally. Their road to HEA was not an easy one, but in my perspective, it was one of the most rewarding ones – healing is not something that comes easily. So, 5 well-deserved stars from me.

A grip your heart tight, emotion fueled hockey romance that takes a devastating moment and twists it with lies, manipulation, and blackmail. It’s totally heartbreaking and wildly cathartic as a hockey coach and the woman he’s in love with, admit to truths held secret for too long, take a stand and kick a little ass, and finally get the happily ever after that was ripped away. This is a great read that centers around jealously, money, and power, with the wicked ex and the manchild son more concerned with having money, having control, and not letting anyone play with the toys they’ve tossed away, than the fact that they took a moment of loss in a woman’s life and morphed it into blackmail. I literally could not feel worse for Ally and Tom and have never wanted to punch someone more than I did Nick and Janet, the hatred is real for those two. But you completely love Ally and Tom who finally get it all together when they stop trying to protect each other and get real and honest and it’s more than worth all the other stuff to see them find their way to forever.
When it comes to his career as the coach of a college team he is successful however the same can’t be said when it comes to romance or the fractured relationship with his son. When he meets Ally he has feelings for her that he has never felt before but finding out she was his son’s ex girlfriend.
Ally was relieved when her relationship with Nick ended especially once she meets Tom and he treats her the way she deserves to be treated. It isn’t until they are together that she realizes he is the father of her ex which is complicated enough but things are about to become more difficult once Nick finds out.
Ally is trying to heal from a devastating situation, and it is only made worse when she feels that not only can’t she share what she is going but outside forces are determined to use it to their own advantage. It is only when they realize they are much stronger together than apart that they are truly able to heal and move forward with their lives.
Boards & Betrayal is Book 9 of The Crestwood Elite Hockey Academy Series and OMG....Is this one a dark and steamy emotional roller-coaster ride. There are a lot of triggers in this one, so be sure to read the warnings. But it is really good!! Ally is a sweet girl who dated Nick, a douche canoe who is still trying to control her through blackmail. Tom is his hunky silver-fox father who is a hockey coach. The two have been estranged for some time, and their relationship is probably beyond repair. But Tom wants Ally as much as she wants him. This was a hard one to read, but it was so good. I can't give any spoilers, but at least our couple gets a happy ending that they so deserve after all the crappy things they endured. I loved Tom so much and am glad Ally had him. He was so swoon-worthy. And again...I absolutely loathed and hated Nick!!!!!.

Tom and Ally. When Ally first runs into Tom, it is an accident and a case of not knowing who the other was. They have a quick and whirlwind romance until Ally discovers that Tom is Nick, her ex-boyfriend's dad.Tom doesn’t care about that and only wants to be with her which leads to them going public and then they sort of drift apart until months to years (I can’t remember which) when they run into each other again. They are unable to resist each other. What was once an intense attraction between now is heavy with secrets.
MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!
I really loved this book. Tom is exactly who Ally needed after being in a relationship with Nick, Tom’s son. Nick was ab**ive to Ally, and when Tom realizes this he takes care of her the way she always deserved. Tom would have never let her go the first time and I love that. The relationship between them was forbidden but it was hot and steamy. The spice in this was so good.
Very emotional and hard for some whom went through what Ally has been through and still struggle to cope with the loss. Very great story that will keep you reading.
Coach Tom Morgan, 45, New life time achievement award for coaching, father to an NHL star whom is also a not so nice of a person to his father whom made him into the star he is.
Ally, 22, photographer, having a tough time in her life and trying survive after hardship of her miscarriage.
I never been pregnant since I suffer from PCOS but even the loss of ever getting pregnant is a hard pill to swallow at 43, I know I”ll never achieved this goal in life and I struggle with it, especially seeing friends, family and even strangers have the happiness that I know I’ll never have. I will have bouts of anger to extreme sadness especially seeing people gush over pictures that gets posted on my wall.
Oof this one was a hard one to read. This certainly has loads of trigger warnings, but for sure pregnancy loss is the top of the list. If that is a hard no, this is not the book for you, even if you have loved every other Myers Crestwood hockey books like I have.
Ally and Tom’s relationship in this book goes from zero to ninety, with several twists and turns as expected from Myers. Which is why I can never deny myself when a new book gets released. This book definitely has our usual dark and spice, but it’s a different kind of dark that makes you pause a little more.
I don’t want to give too much away, so I’ll stop with that, but if you’ve enjoyed prior Crestwood Elite Hockey romances and the trigger warnings don’t stop you- what are you waiting for?!?.

The emotions in the other books in this series so far were intense, passionate, possessive, aggressive type emotions. This book has a totally different feel. One of intense desperation and longing...
Tom and Ally had an intense start. And as we learn more about why Ally ghosted Tom, we feel her intense pain and longing. And we feel Tom's desperation to figure out what's going on with Ally. There is a lot of character growth and a great development of understanding between Ally and Tom as they navigate their reunion and deal with the intricacies of family and exes, etc.
I would suggest that readers check content warnings, because there are topics in the book that will be difficult for some readers.

I love Ally and Tom. My heart broke for what she went through. I've been there before. I'd be lying if I had said that I wasn't a little upset with her for keeping it from Tom for so long. Especially when his son Nick knew about it she should have told him knowing how toxic their relationship was she had to have known he was going to use that against her and against his dad. I would have liked to have seen Nick get arrested for domestic violence. Makes me angry that he got away with what he did. Janet is a piece of work. She needs to go and sit on a cactus. I hope in future books it'll show Tom and Ali actually having a family.

Wow, this is a page turning read and it took me on a roller coaster ride of emotions. This book does have some major triggers so please check the author's trigger warning. Ally goes through a lot and her story is a heartbreaking one. I loved Tom for Ally and was cheering them on to get their happily ever after. This is a well written, age gap romance with well developed characters, drama, angst, and a great ending. Boards & Betrayal is book nine and a great addition to The Crestwood Elite Hockey Academy series and I look forward to reading the next book. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This forbidden romance pits father against son against all odds. Ally is Tom's son's ex-girlfriend whom he treats badly. He is drawn to Ally but because she has ties to his son he tried to stay away but when the heart wants something bad enough you find a way to fulfill it which is what happens between Ally and Tom, but Ally is withholding a secret that could come between them. When everything comes out will she and Tom get their chance for happiness.

This is a very emotional read and I understand and sympathised so much with Ally about what she went through. This was a cathartic read. I loved Ally’s growth throughout this story and how she stood up for herself. I thought when I first read about Tom in previous books that he would be the typical coach, full of bravado and bluster, but he is way more than that. He is someone who feels everything and wants to do the right thing. This, to me, is one of the most deeply emotional and hard won happily ever after’s that I have read about. This is a wonderful read.
Tom & Ally's book, this couple has been teased throughout the series, a forbidden age gap romance, with the ex's father. I honestly expected a little more from it.
The book is very emotional, it deals with miscarriage, and it takes a lot to write something like that, specially if it comes from personal experience, so I definitely give credit to the author for that.
I just didn’t feel the romance that much. Everything felt very rushed, and I know it’s a me thing, but in this series, I find the characters and the stories forgettable.
Ally and Tom were never meant to be she dated his son Nick who broke her down with threats and lies, but the heart wants what it wants and they want each other, but there's more secrets to unfold, can they go the distance? Well written engaging emotions, desires drama and more a great addition to the series.

An age gap romance must read! My favorite of the series by far is this intense romance between his sons young ex girlfriend and himself. I love their chemistry and the taboo aspect of their romance that only adds to the heat level between the characters. There’s loads of drama, a heartbreaking event and a HEA worth fighting for. This was an enjoyable add to the series.
Boards of betrayal was Tom and Ally’s story. He was off-limits, the kind of man a girl like her should never dream about. But Tom is nothing like his son. While Nick tried to control her, Tom made her feel safe—and wanted. And even now, after all the ways Nick has twisted and turned her life, Tom is the one she wants. It was a roller coaster of a read. I got a copy of the book and voluntarily leaving my review.
Ally was a breath of fresh air to Tom—someone bright and giving, with an easy laugh and a good heart. After dealing with his ungrateful son and bitter ex, having Ally in his life helped center him. Ally dealt with all the secrets and underhanded actions of his family.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. It was an emotional read. I'm glad Tom and Ally found their way back to each other and are happy with their lives. I really didn't care for his son and definitely not his mother. I liked how the sensitive issue were handled.
❤️ Second chance ❤️ age gap ❤️ ex’s dad ❤️ hockey ❤️ who did this? ❤️ forbidden
HUGE TRIGGER WARNING!!! pregnancy loss. Proceed with caution!!
Filled with spice, this forbidden romance is an outstanding book. I thought the last book in this series was her best, but she definitely outdid herself with this one. This one was a huge emotional rollercoaster.
Tom should be off-limits to Ally, and vise versa, with her ex Nick being Tom's son. Another gritty read in this series, with some past trauma which resurfaces. A steamy and possessive second chance romance with two strong MCs.

• Age Gap • Forbidden Romance • Her Ex's Dad • College Hockey Coach x Photographer • Touch Her & Die
5⭐ Read - The Ex's Dad, his aggression, the emotions they both go through *and this things his son & his ex put them through*! Couldn't put this one down!
Tom & Ally were not the couple I was expecting - but looking back, should have seen them coming!
The story of tom and ally was so good. Their past had drama and pain, and the present had super steamy chemistry a whole lot of spice. Between his son and his ex I wasn't sure how this story was going to go but it turned out great!
Has it really been 9 books??? As always, Heather and Frankie are dark hockey romance goddesses. This was my most anticipated and most loved of the series. Tom and Ally are it for me. I am head over heals for Tom. Completely smitten.
This book is heartbreaking, emotional, and intense. Tom and Ally go through a lot on their road to HEA. I really enjoyed this story. The character growth was amazing. The twists and turns kept me turning the pages. This book is definitely worth the read.

Elodie is just trying to survive; her evil stepmother, awful stepsisters, all the chores and jobs, and going to school. But what she never expected was Keaton, a hockey player, to marry her after knowing her less than 2 weeks. Both Keaton and Elodie are arranaged to be married to others, but neither of them want these marriages. This book was an amazing, quick read, you get sucked in page one, fall in love with the brooding alpha male that loves the quiet, stidopis. loner girl.
