So I’ve only read the sample to see how this book is and I don’t think I’m going to move forward with purchasing the full book.
I got whiplash reading it as it felt as though I was missing a huge chunk of the information. I do understand that this is a series, so perhaps it’s one of those that I have to read the other books in order to get the general gist of what is happening between the characters. However, shouldn’t that be the case when you want to find out about the WORLD the series is based around and not the MAIN LOVE INTERESTS?
Mayhap I have it backwards, but the book should have me discovering the main characters together. I didn’t hate the sample I read, but it didn’t wow me enough to make me want to go read the other books just to see what I was missing between the focus of this book’s characters.

Definitely Worth the Wait
Guarded by the Orc by Saam King is everything I want in a monster romance and more.
Saam absolutely nailed it with book 3 of the Kingverse Orcs. The fated mates tension is _chef's kiss_ 🔥. I loved the protective, gruff-but-soft-for-her energy our orc MMC brings. He’s guarded in every sense of the word, and watching him fall hard was so satisfying. The Kingverse just keeps getting richer. Saam drops you right into orc culture without info-dumping. It feels lived-in and gritty in the best way. The Chemistry, The spice is top tier 🌶️. Possessive, primal, and tender all at once. The fated mates bond actually matters to the plot, not just the romance. The FMC well She’s no damsel. Smart, sassy, and holds her own against a 7-foot orc. Their banter had me grinning like an idiot. I Could not put it down. Action, feels, and steam are balanced perfectly. One more chapter turned into the whole book at 2am! If you’re into monster romance with serious emotional depth, protective book boyfriends who’d burn the world down for their mate, and lore that makes you want to binge the whole series, get this one now. Saam King is auto-buy status for me after this.. Definitely Your Next 5⭐ Read..

Heartwarming
I really like this series, however, I wasn't as fond of the FMC as I was when she was introduced in the last book. In the last book, her powers seemed wild but she was a strong and confident woman who knew what she wanted. In this book she is a completely different person. Sort of meek and dodgy. You think she would just jump the MMC's bones right off the bat, especially if she supposedly had dreamt of him all her life, but she does the exact opposite. She tries to avoid him. Thankfully he doesn't take the hint, and is no longer the fun loving jokester brother that he has been so far. I thought of him prior as rogue and boyish, but when he finds his mate he becomes too much like his brother and its like the humor just vanished. On top of that, no one seems to bring up the fact that the chick from the last one that sent the previous MMC home would have most likely died if she hadn’t done so (if I'm reading into that correctly) so everyone just continues to think she's the villain and the FMC of this book isn't filled in on the situation at all. So, a few holes, but I still liked the book.

Im not sure if it’s because I read the first book in this series but skipped the second, but it felt like this book started in the middle of a story. The main couple seem to have a backstory that’s only vaguely referenced, so their relationship just didn’t feel earned. I know reading earlier books is helpful, but a very brief recap wouldn’t have been unwelcome. Overall, just wasn’t really feeling this one.

Fun, Witchy Romance
While book 1, Bossed by the Orc, was a slow-burn, this book jumps right in with fated mates working together to defeat an evil warlock while they find creative work-arounds before breaking the curse keeping them apart. The spice level was moderate but so well done it kept you waiting for the next scene, and the plot made it even better even though the story does move quickly.

Guarded and Blessed with Magick
He knew right away she was his (what's with these Orcs anyways?). It took her a few days to get on the same page. She had a coven to protect, unbind her powers and get a wand made all the while being wooed. Once everything was in place, they fought the wizard ANF got their HEA. This is book three, but I suggest you read the whole series starting with book one. The characters stay the same while adding more and it feels like family!

Book 3 of 6
The clan is growing - exponentially. In this one book we’ve added 6 more (+ 1 on the way) to clan Everlock. Rudgar and Zara are well matched in their un-seriousness and are super cute together. That little Gabbi and her biting… she’s like a Tasmanian devil in a diaper.

I have *adored* this series from Saam King and I swear each book just gets better! I loved Rudgar and Zara and their dynamic. Zara coming into her powers with Rudgar loving and supporting her through that process was so sweet and endearing. Rudgar coming to the realization that he can't fight Zara's battles for her, but supporting her through those is the love she needs, it just made me swoon!

This series is fun.
This book is much different than Book 1. Book 2 kinda started us down the fantasy world building and Book 3 really went full send, and that’s been lovely. I feel like the smut lacks inventiveness, though.

This was an interesting book. I do prefer the two books before, but that's just a personal preference. I enjoyed reading Rudgar's love story with Zara, I just didn't love Zara as much as Pen and Bekka. Props to the author for writing an addictive series.

Story 4⭐️ Spice 3🌶️
I have enjoyed this series immensely. There is always a good story with a well fought HEA. There are a few typos, but overall a solid 4 stars.

Why is the FMC so weak if she’s supposed to be so powerful

This might be my favorite yet. There was minimal breeding talk. The witches added another layer. And the new world building didn’t disrupt our previous knowledge. Well done.

Loved the first book in this series, leaving off here. Plot felt rushed with too many characters.

Saam King is an instant buy author for me. This series is one of my all-time favorites! I've been waiting for Rudgar to find his mate since he was introduced in Book 1 and Zara is the perfect girl for him! This book has everything! Mystery, a loving found Family, a super sweet couple and the spicy scenes are everything you want and more!
I highly recommend this series and cannot wait for the next book!

I adore this series, I really love the expanded world building that happened in this one. As well as how supportive our Orc was to Zara
