“When You Burn Me,” by Lorelei Johnson
I’ve read another series by Lorelei Johnson, and I knew this book was going to be good when I picked it up with how good the other series was. I think I even liked this book more than the last series of hers I read. #1 I loved the plot! Dark warlock x light witch, forbidden relationship with a complicated backstory sucked me in right away. #2 I loved the characters so much. Not only the two main characters but also all the side characters were interesting and funny and brought so much to the book. not only do I want more of the main characters but I would love book with the side characters as the main characters, they were that good. I loved that he fell first and his inner dialogue of complicated issue of telling her the truth or not was so good. Definitely a book I will be rereading. 5 out of 5 stars.

This book reminds me of Cupcakes, Trinkets and, Deadly Magic by Meghan Ciana Diodge. It was a bit nostalgic to find that feeling in a book again. I enjoyed this overall but I wish we’d spent a bit more time on some of the world and other characters, especially some of the past guardians. I had problems with some of the main characters, Aunt Terra was pretty unlikable to me and, Sienna is pretty immature. I kept thinking she was at most 20 but then I realized she was 28. It makes sense that it’s because she’s sheltered but I don’t think it works very well for her character.

When I saw a new paranormal romance with fated mates, forbidden romance between light and dark, and a brooding half demon - I knew I'd be all in!
We follow Sienna, a light witch who is trying to reconcile her traumatic childhood by finding the dark witches that destroyed her family. But what she doesn't bargain for is stumbling across Damon, a mysterious half witch, half demon who isn't all he seems and holds secrets that could unravel everything she thought she knew.
As they reluctantly join up on a quest to find an artefact that could help take down a powerful enemy, their attraction becomes undeniable. The push and pull between the two MC's is delicious, how Damon fights within himself, wanting what he can't have, mirroring how Sienna feels, and it's so well done.
But what I think I loved the most was the found family aspects within Sienna's coven. Their banter and humour felt real, the love and anger that only someone close to you can give, yet also drive you nuts. It's a beautifully weaved story with characters that come alive and an underlying story arc that will carry over into future books that I, for one, can't wait to follow the journey.

Damon is the half-breed son of the prisoner, who is only alive because the dark coven is saving him for his 'mother'. When she is free, she will take his power which will also kill him. Obviously, Damon's none too keen on her being freed.
This was a great story with plenty of side characters to help give it some flavour. One of my favourites was Morrigan, a sassy and sometimes grumpy light witch who can cause death by the simple touch of her hand. One of the characters I didn't like so much was Terra, Sienna's aunt. I kept waiting for her to grow on me but it never happened.
A good start to a new series that I definitely recommend, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I love the tension that this book starts off with right off the bat. The storyline engulfed all my attention and I devoured this book. I love how we got the backstory of how the new coven was started and also how each member works their own way in after entering the coven for different reasons. Each character is vastly different on what they bring to the table as far as gifts. I love the flow of this story and I'm a huge fan of LJ's writing style and I can't wait to see what happens next.
I love how true to herself and how loyal Sienna is to her coven. Even when she thinks she's making some selfish decisions in her eyes she is just trying to stop the danger for her family and coven once and for all. I was a huge Damon fan right off the bat. It didn't take long for him to build the 'touch her and die' feeling at all. I hate that he felt he had to hide his true identity but I also understand his reasoning and I love how they balance each other out!! He's the dark to her light!!! MOrrigan is definitely my favorite side character and I need more and possibly her POV!!

When You Burn Me is a phenomenal paranormal romance, which is another fantastic book by Lorelei Johnson. Lorelei Johnson continues to create and write fantastic paranormal romance which I have absolutely enjoyed reading. In my opinion, Lorelei Johnson puts her all into the stories she creates and writes for her audience’s enjoyment. When You Burn Me follows the journey of Damon and Sienna. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about who Damon and Sienna were as the main characters of this story. The chemistry Damon and Sienna is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and undeniably irresistible. The characters are phenomenally written and beautifully executed throughout the story. I couldn’t get enough of Damon and Sienna’s phenomenal story, and I was rooting for them to have a happy ending. I would most certainly give this book as a suggestion to anyone who is looking for a new paranormal romance to read.

Another start, or should it be midway, to a great series of Enchanted Hearts this time as enjoy all of Lorelei Johnson's series.
I especially enjoy being engaged and delve into magical supernatural worlds when there is two POVs from the two main protagonists in the story and so we get to experience and enter the minds of both Sienna and Damon in this book.
There are also a great larger cast of characters that still are inspiring and enjoyable as a nice mix of banter, action, vulnerability, magic and magical adventure in this book with more to be discovered and unveiled in next book.
Nice twists, turns and some unexpected narrative so good to be surprised and keeps the story progressing with just enough to be a page turner to see what will happen next.
Excited for next book in the series and for next future books from an author I really enjoying reading and lovely storyteller.

I read the novella first and I wasn't into it so much, it was missing something... So honestly I thought I wouldn't like 'When You Burn Me' either, but it was such a page turner for me. They went through a lot throughout the book. It had a perfect amount of action, romance and plot twists, which is rare. It's either too much or not enough in the other books I've read, so that's a big plus. I would recomend this one to those who love romantsy, enemies to lovers, forbiden love, he falls first, strong fmc, demons, witches. I'll look out for the next part of the series, thanks for this new world I got to experience :).

Light witch, Sierra, lost her parents when she was little as they tried to prevent a Dark Coven from getting an ancient artifact they were tasked with protecting. Now Sierra wants to do what she can to avenge them. Which forces her to team up with a Dark Warlock, Damon. Light and Dark are not supposed to be together as it goes against the Coven laws. But as the plot unfolds a deep connection between them starts to form. With everything fighting against them, they must make hard choices that can impact not only their relationship but all immortals. I could not put this book down! This book series has a fantastic plot that keeps you on your toes as you follow along. Sierra and Damon’s slow burn chemistry is to die for!

I really enjoyed this first in the Enchanted Hearts series!
We met Sienna, a guardian who is in a coven with the characters from the prequel novella.
I really enjoy this world, it’s got elements that reminded me of a mired adult Harry Potter, with a big bad who has negative feelings towards mixing bloodlines.
An easy read, I enjoyed the writing, the new characters (especially Morrigan) and the suspense as we moved through the story.
Damon and Sienna’s romance was great and I was shipping them from the start!
Ending on a cliffhanger, I’m excited to find out what happens next!

This book was SUCH a treat!!! For a quick read, I could have gone back and read it twice. 4.5⭐ rounded up!! Extremely grateful to have received this ARC.

This book pretty much had it all. Damon, in his best interest, must protect Sienna from his dark coven. While Sienna was trying to discover why her family was taken away from her that ultimately got a taget on her back. Sienna and Damon, light and dark, make a good couple, that brings forth a good and interesting full length story that had me needing to know what would happen next. The book had all of the things that I love, Romance, spice and a story that held my interest and kept me reading nonstop! Waiting at the cliff! I Loved It!!! I Recommend! No Spoilers!.

Sienna needs to know who took her parents from her, but will knowing this help her? When Damon strolls into her life, will he bring her more danger or finally some answers to her questions. If Damon's secrets come out will he lose her? I loved Sienna and Damon's complicated but scorching story, and look forward to the next book.

I'm definitely awaiting the next book. I wish there would have been a little more of a conclusion with Damon and Sienna as far as his mother goes. Sienna was getting on my nerves because she kept going behind the back of her family. I found her to be extremely Reckless. But Damon made up for all of that. My heart absolutely broke for him and everything he had to endure.

This is the first book in the series. The slow burn tension is well written and don’t we all love fated mates.
The plot is well thought out and engaging. And you get to know the characters well.
The chemistry between the characters is so good. I can not wait for the second book in the series. It kept me hooked from chapter 1

Loved the writing and the plot in this story. It was also fast paced and action packed with some mystery, tension and steam. I loved the characters also and we get to see glimpses of Elspeth and Roman from the prequel again.

Loving this series so far. All of the characters are unique but fit together in this story like a puzzle. Cannot wait for the next book.

I loved this book, and I am very glad I read the prequel first as it ties in so nicely with all the characters! Sienna and Damon’s story fits so well alongside the snippets we see of Elspeth and Roman, and I really hope to see more of the other characters (especially the twins) in the next book!
