You, Me, and Forever

Rate this book
Spicy enemies-to-lovers romance about a billionaire developer and a small-town entrepreneur battling their desires in the Land of the Midnight Sun.

Myles St. James is tearing my world apart.

Wish I’d known that before I slept with him.

It was supposed to be a one-night stand.

Like I knew anything about those.

But I needed to blow off steam.

My ex had just gotten engaged.

My dry spell was nearing six months.

And my booming wedding planning business—the one I started with my bestie—was about to lose its favorite venue to some bulldozer-happy developer from New York.

The Seaside Inn is such a special place.

My second home.

And ever since that famous singer got married there, people are flocking to Blushing, Alaska, for their own weddings too.

Guess whose fling turns out to be the hotshot real estate guy?

But he isn’t what I expected.

And sleeping with the enemy doesn’t feel nearly as wrong as it should.

Because Myles St. James is rocking my world.

Too bad giving in to him could mean giving up my dreams.

It's not really holding my interest. The chemistry wasn't palpable, either. Most of all, I dislike waaay too cocky and arrogant hoe MMCs. It's definitely a sure way to kill my mood. But to each their own.

That being said, I'm going to put this on pause, as it's clearly not working and the guy is pissing me off. I might (or might not) pick this up again if the mood strikes.

This is probably one of my favorite settings that Laura has ever written! A coastal Alaska town? With a wedding planner who doesn't want the billionaire to come in and tear down her beloved in for a massive hotel in its place? I had so much fun with this new cast of characters. The hero and heroine first hook up after the heroine tells the hero she's only in town for the day when she's, in fact, a local. The next day, they meet at work and she realizes he's the guy ruining the inn she grew up in. They have to work closely and things progress from hate pretty quickly. I flew through this one and had such a fun time!

I don’t have too much to say about this book. It was on the shorter side and an enjoyable enough read. However, I found most of the dialogue to be very cringey and awkward. I also couldn’t connect with the leads Montana and Myles because they felt superficial and two-dimensional. Their relationship moved really fast as well. They did have a couple of cute moments though which kind of made up for it? Montana’s friends were also really annoying and childish, especially Violet. I couldn’t stand her and definitely won’t be reading her book next.

But honestly after a while, the story started to feel repetitive and predictable and I was losing interest. And so, this was an okay read, but with the author’s recent releases being misses for me, it makes me wonder if I’ve simply outgrown her books at this point.

I ate this up in less than 24 hours.
It was cute, full of swoon-worthy moments, and had me laughing out loud and warmed my heart in turns. You really watch the characters fall in love organically.

It’s got the spice your other heart desires and a classic billionaire x small town x enemies(ish) to lovers.

Montana is the FMC who owns her shit. She believes deeply, loves hard, and doesn’t hold back. Myles is the determined tycoon who is just too scared to know what to do with his big heart.

It didn’t bring anything new, but it brought the good stuff—and sometimes, that’s enough.

I have received an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

You, Me, and Forever is another great romance from Laura Pavlov. This story takes place in a small town in Alaska, and it was a fun time.

Montana is out ot move on from her ex. It’s been months, so she goes out with her friends to meet someone. There, she meets Myles. Myles and Montana have a fun meet-cute, but things change the next day when she discovers who Myles really is. The man who’s destroying her business. Okay, that may be a little melodramatic, but it feels like he is to her.

Myles bought the Seaside Inn- the Inn that Montana hosts most of her weddings (she’s a wedding planner), and he’s planning on knocking it down and making it a bigger resort. And it’s making her life more challenging than she hoped. At first, Montana wants nothing to do with Myles, but with time, he wears her down.

These two become great friends, and it turns into so much more. I loved the two of them together. Amazing banter, such romance… sigh. Myles is the kind of guy who doesn’t do relationships, and Montana is a relationship girly, so it takes some time to make them work, but by the end, it’s magic. I’m not sure if this will be a series or a stand-alone, but either way, I adored it!

3.5 stars! You, Me, and Forever is a new, cutesy small town Alaska romance from Laura Pavlov! A new series, a billionaire hero, a wedding planner heroine, and a one night stand that leads to more!

Montana owns Blushing Bride, a wedding planning business with her best friend Violet in the fictional small town of Blushing, Alaska. Their business has been nonstop ever since doing a wedding for a pop star and supermodel’s wedding. Myles is a billionaire who purchases the local seaside inn and plans to tear it down and rebuild a hotel in its place, which not only has sentimental memories for Montana but is also one of the most popular venues for her business. The two first meet after a night out at a local bar and share a night together before finding out the next day he’s the guy she hates who bought the inn in town.

The characters and small town setting was fun to see and the little teaser of the next couple is already so much fun too! Myles and Montana’s relationship moves quickly and they easily become friends with an expiration date over their relationship while he’s in town. Their meet cute and nicknames (Honey Badger and Moneybags) for one another were so funny. I’ve read and loved this author’s small town romances for years, so while this wasn’t a new fav, it was still an easy, fun time! I’m real excited for the tropes of the next book though!

I received an ARC, all thoughts in this review are my own.

Audiobook 🎧

I really enjoyed this fast-paced, cute and easy read. Laura Pavlov always delivers with her small town romance books.

Montana owns a wedding planning business in Blushing, Alaska. She has recently broken up with her long term boyfriend and finally lets loose with a guy for one night. The next day she realises the guy she had one night with is the same billionaire who is about to tear down her most popular wedding venue and the place she grew up in.

Montana and Myles have the best banter. They had me laughing out loud and their chemistry was off the charts.

There was so much character development for them both, especially Myles. He comes across as the grumpy, business man but there are so many layers to him that we discover throughout.

The friendship. The grand gestures. The emotions. You just can’t help but root for them.

This was a great start to a new series. I love the side characters. They are all so fun, entertaining and memorable. I cannot wait to see more of them in the next book.

This is HANDS DOWN my favorite read by Laura so far, absolute PERFECTION.

This starts out as a fling.. then goes into enemies-to-lovers.. off to enemies-to-friends.. then friends with benefits & I can’t express enough how beautifully written this book is.

Not only are you drawn in by the main characters, but the side characters as well. The banter and passion between Myles & Montana is a 10/10 and the growth they have in their story will have your eyes pasted to your kindle/book.

Myles is a bachelor & Montana is not a woman who can do one night stands, but they meet half way because Myles will only be in town for a short time for work and they will end their fling when he leaves, but their “fling” is SO MUCH MORE than just a “fling.”

If you haven’t read a Laura Pavlov book yet, START WITH THIS ONE I BEG YOU!

I always love a sweet Laura Pavlov book.

In Blushing, Alaska, Montana is making her business dreams come true. After a well-known couple uses her business to have their wedding, her wedding planning business is booming. There's only one problem. The place where the upcoming weddings are being held has been sold and will be torn down.

And her hookup Miles is the one who's bought it. Of course, you don't hook up with the one who's ruining the place you grew up, right? Or well, you might if you don't know who he is.

This one had slight angst (he is tearing down a place she loves), fun (their meet cute is pretty hilarious), and shows how with the right person to build you up, you really can grow.

Miles has a complicated relationship with his father, and it drives him to work hard and not fall in love. Montana is a relationship kind of girl. How can they work it out if it's just temporary. Because both have decided it is.

I loved the chemistry between these two! We could see how great they were together pretty early. It's got some great laughs and some zingers.

I hope this isn't the end of Blushing!

I ate this one up.

This was short and fast paced. But it was packed full of the things I love.
It was sweet. But also witty.

The enemies to lovers banter was great.
I liked their nicknames.

Loved it being in Alaska.

Wedding planner: check
Billionaire I normally don’t like. But didn’t mind it here.

Myles & Montana were cute.

Low angst.
Spoiler: (I love a 3rd act break up…)

A moose and a porcupine were fun additions.

This was a goodish read for me. Maybe I was just in the wrong headspace, but I had a hard time connecting with the characters. And the pacing felt strange to me. We had a one night stand that progressed further. But once they hooked up the second time it was like all bets are off. I liked the setting and the side characters. And I liked Myles and Montana together. The banter during their loathe era was pretty great. I liked the build up to see when they were going to realize that they both wanted more. I didn't enjoy the lead up to the third act breakup. Myles was so brilliant but emotionally stunted. I did appreciate his grand gestures. I appreciated how he showed his feelings for Montana in his own little way. I liked Montana too. Despite not growing up with a strong example of a functioning relationship, she wanted that desperately. I liked her loyalty to all things that were important to her. I enjoyed watching Myles get caught up in her web and reconnect with his inner heart. That was pretty sweet :)

Montana has decided she is going to try a one night stand. She is going to use a fake name and make sure she will never see this guy again. This is when she meets Myles. OMG is he so hot and funny. She decides to go with it. See what happens. They have a wonderful night that opens her eyes to how her experiences have been wrong. But they don't go all the way. Which is fine. She is satisfied and moves on with her life. But then she realizes said one night stand is the demon who has bought the town hotel and is demolishing it for a larger luxury hotel. How could she have let this happen?? She has slept with the enemy. Well no matter. She can be professional and move on with her life. Except they keep finding themselves around each other since she is still having some weddings at the hotel. The more time she is around him the more she realizes he isn't who she thought he was. Yes he is ambitious and he has goals. But he really is trying to make this a good opportunity for the community. So they decide to be friends. And slowly they become inseparable. She is trying desperately to ignore the way she feels when he walks into a room but finds herself failing. So what if he is leaving in a few months. She is going to make the most of this. Which is what she does. She opens her heart up to this man and he opens his to hers. But then reality comes crashing in and she finds herself wondering if it was all worth it.

Myles is in town for work but decides he can have fun for one night. He normally doesn't do this but this woman is beyond his expectations. She is funny- clearly hiding information about who she is to him. She is stunningly beautiful. So he trusts his gut and takes her home. And it is so hot and frisky. He trusts his gut again though and doesn't go all the way. Maybe they will run into each other again and he can give her that. Well he didn't think he was going to be running into her again the next day. At the job site of his new hotel. Where she is enraged that HE is the owner. HE apparently has ruined everything for her business. Well fine she was the liar in the first place. But now he is bantering with her and he likes it. And he wants to clear the air so he does. And they become such good friends. This woman has become a staple in his life in such a short amount of time. How is that even possible? He finds himself wanting more from her. He will take scraps if she will give them to him. But then she offers her body and the pleasure of her company while they have this time together. There is an expiration but he is ok with that. What he wasn't expecting was to develop feelings. But when the time comes will he realize he can't walk away? Or leave and have regrets?

Like I said this was good but not great in my opinion. I would recommend it for small town readers- it had the found family vibes and the quirky characters- looking at you Cliffton. I just didn't find myself feeling a whole lot while reading this which I think was because of my disconnect with the characters.

4.9/5✨
3/5🌶️

It became an addiction to me to read anything new by Laura Pavlov. Sooo grateful that she and Valentine Pr accepted me for this early copy!

One crazy night out with her girlfriends and the reserved Montana will end up meeting a complete stranger, in the person of Myles St. James, with whom she had an instant connection. This little encounter started a bit strange but one thing led to another and they both agreed on sharing a single night together. Little did they knew that soon things were about to get so much more complicated and they will see more of each other for a while.

As complicated as Montana's situation was, by having to organize her ex boyfriend's wedding and to deal with the new guy in town, who will change all the plans she has made for her business, things definitely became even more entangled when she learned who that guy was in fact. Myles was the real estate agent who wanted to help grow the little Blushing town from Alaska, something which wasn't on Montana's taste.

I got to laugh so, so much while reading this book! Even from the start, Montana and her friends have put that smile on my face, which was kept there throughout this book. The rivalry of Montana and Myles was so interesting to follow and to see it unfolding into a super sweet love story, was the best! But Myles had a fixed idea about stability because of his family, who weren't the best examples to follow. Can he pass by his fixation and let himself be happy with the girl who was constantly in his head?

I started and finished this in like twelve hours. Montana and Myles are just that freaking cute.

There was so much giggling and feet kicking I thought it would never end 😌. They have so much tension together and they just make each other better. Montana is a I know what I want type girl and Myles is a stubborn jerk a lot of the time but don't worry Montana can fix him.

There may have also been a few tears along the way but I fear I am just a crybaby.

Something wasn’t quite clicking with this book and I couldn’t point out exactly what it was, until I realized I absolutely disliked the mmc.
The writing was generic and really repetitive.

I really enjoyed reading this one. Myles is pretty much all business and no fun. He has some grumpy qualities but he really is a sweetheart to those around him in his own way. For such a serious guy it was fun to see him going along with Montana’s made up identity when they first meet.

After Montana finds out that the guy she had a one night stand with is the guy tearing down her favourite building, her claws come out. Their banter was my favourite and it made me smile. Myles just loved to get under her skin.

Once they can put aside their differences they become friends, which was refreshing to read. From the friendship a fling develops, as they’re both aware Myles will be going back to New York soon. It was interesting to observe how having one crappy parent each had shaped their thoughts on love and marriage differently. Myles’ growth in the end was beautiful to see. Both had a positive impact on each other.

If you’re a fan of small town romances with funny banter and romantic gestures, this is the book for you.

Thank you Valentine PR & Laura Pavlov for an eARC of You, Me, and Forever!

This introduction to the Blushing, Alaska series had me in a chokehold! I literally only paused reading it to sleep.. that’s how invested I was in Myles & Montana’s story.

I ADORED both of our main characters in this one. Montana is loyal, strong, & independent while also feisty & incredibly creative. Myles is broody & confident while also fiercely protective with a big heart. Their chemistry & banter was TOP notch. 👌🏻 I also LOVED how their relationship progressed. It may have started with a “one night stand” but the way they progressed from that, to a bit of dislike😂, to friends to lovers was done SO incredibly well.

As with Laura’s other books, the found family was certainly a highlight of the book! I enjoyed meeting the side characters & can’t wait to continue the series. The additions of the moose & porcupine were the cherry on top.. you’ll have to read it to understand. 🤣

You, Me, and Forever is a sweet small town romance that will sweep you away and make you smile! Laura brings us to an Alaskan town for so much banter between Myles and Montana.
Myles and Montana spend a night together,
and that attraction doesn't die down even after learning what Myles is in town for.
Myles is a billionaire, and he finds himself in the company of a woman that he wants more time with.
Montana is a wedding planner and loves what she does even if she hasn't found her HEA herself.
Can I just say how much I love the nicknames in this one!!!

When listening to this audio, I felt there were moments when both the narrators were a little monotone when they should have had more emotion in their voice. Even with that said, I loved this story, and the audio was still a good listen. Troy Duran is one of my favorites, and he has the perfect gruff tone for a billionaire. Cicely Meadows is new to me, and I liked her sweet but sassy tone for Montana.

If you love small town, billionaire with all the banter and moments that will make you swoon. This book is for you!!
I am excited for more of this series...

4.25⭐️ such a fun, romantic, and hilariously charming small town romance to help me kick off the summer!

parts of this were kinda ridiculous and corny, sure, but i really did have a great time. the story was solid, believable, and heartwarming, while also delivering the perfect amount of tension, banter, spice, and comedic relief.

a very quick read with a lovable cast of characters…. plus a well known (and endowed) moose and a not-so-prickly porcupine🩷

i’ll definitely be taking a trip back to Blushing so i can see exactly what will go down between Violet and a certain sexy single dad;)

4.5 ⭐️ Laura moves us to Alaska and I’m here for it. This was so cute! I mean, a well hung moose and a porcupine hang out? Sounds like a blast to me!

I feel like this was the funniest of Laura’s books I read. When our “diamond dealer” first meets Miles with her friends “Marilyn” and “Dr. Pepper” I was cackling. I also loved that our FMC was a wedding planner. So fun!

You know what you’re getting when you pick up a Laura Pavlov book, a swoony good time. She knows how to write romance with the perfect balance of plot and spice. You, Me and Forever was no different. I’m excited to see the way this series unfolds

The audio is fantastic! Performed in dual narration with Cicely Meadows and Troy Duran. I would’ve loved a duet narration but these two narrators do a great job in dual format.

Thank you to Valentine PR and the author for the ALC.

i had high expectations for this one. small town alaska setting? billionaire? i mean, sign me up.

unfortunately, it fell a bit flat for me. i think i just didn't really enjoy either of the main characters. myles and montana both just felt like they lacked true character depth and honestly they sort of annoyed me a bit.
the pacing of this one also threw me off. very insta-lovey but then the one night stand becomes more but then gets abruptly cut off once the characters hook up the second time?? idk it just felt all funky to me and i think because the pacing was weird, i didn't really feel like the characters had a lot of chemistry

i did enjoy the quirky little animals that were included in this one and the setting overall was interesting, but honestly everything else fell flat

Laura stuns again with this small-town “enemies” to lovers story! Myles and Montana’s attraction to each other and chemistry is scorching, and the plot settled against the back drop of a small Alaskan town had me engaged the whole time. I’m a sucker for the “I don’t know how to love but I fell in love with you” storyline and gah damn did it make me hurt too. I love Montana’s big heart, she showed Myles what it meant to be loved without conditions.

You, me, and forever, baby.”

An enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance, this is such a beautiful read with the most gorgeous love story. I fell so in love with these characters, I loved watching them come together, and I devoured this book in a day. It’s a great start to a new series, and I loved this book so much!

Montana runs a wedding planning business with her best friend in her small home town of Blushing, Alaska. She’s been single since a long-term relationship imploded six months ago so her friends encourage her to live a little and drag her out for a girls’ night. She meets a gorgeous stranger at the local bar and ends up spending the night with him, only to later learn that he is the billionaire developer that is in town to demolish the inn that her business uses to host weddings, and the place she considers her second home. She’s furious, and she wants Myles out of her town, but he has different ideas.

Myles St James is a billionaire property developer from New York. He is in town to oversee his latest project and didn’t expect to meet a woman, but he is drawn to Montana from the moment they meet. When she learns who he is, he becomes enemy #1, and her snarky animosity towards him only draw him in further. He’s wildly attracted to the spirited woman, and decides to hang around town a little longer.

It's a fun set up, and the bickering between Myles and Montana is so fun – especially because Myles is wildly flirty and brings up their night together at every opportunity. They slowly come to understand each other, and an easy friendship develops, though there is still a fabulous zing of sexual tension underlying each of their encounters. And when Myles steps in to save Montana from her douchey ex, ‘friends’ becomes ‘more’, and OMG I was here for it!

I love these two together so much! They’re fun and sexy, they rock each other's worlds in all the ways, and it’s all so easy and natural between them! Myles is only in town for a short time so they know their fling will be short term, but they’re determined to get the most out of it while they can, and they are just magic together!

Of course, things are complicated when feelings develop. Montana is a romantic who wants marriage and a family, while Myles’ toxic family history has left him (in his words) incapable of a relationship and never wanting to settle down. But he’s feeling things for Montana he’s never felt before, and there is a lot of soul searching as these two figure out what they want.

“Whoever ends up with you is going to be the luckiest fucking guy on the planet … And I already fucking hate him.”
I chuckled. “I feel the same about you.”
His gaze searched mine. “If I were capable of those things, it would be you, Montana. You know that, right?”

They have challenges to face, and it’s an emotional ride, and what I love most about these two is how honest they are with each other. There’s no game playing, no stupid behaviour, they say it like it is and they don’t hold back, and I love that in a romance!

“You had me the minute I laid eyes on you, Montana Kingsley. I may not know what I’m doing, but I’m going to try like hell to show you that I can do this.”

There’s a great bunch of side characters supporting them along the way, and I’m so excited to continue on with this series and read their stories.

Another absolute winner from Laura Pavlov, I loved this book so much.

5 stars!

Montana is a wedding planner, part owner of the Blushing Bride in Blushing, Alaska, and all of her dreams are coming true. She’s been in a funk, so her friends coax her into a night out and she ends up meeting Myles and going home with him, which she’s never done before. The next morning at the Seaside Inn, where she grew up since her dad is the chef there, she learns that Myles is the billionaire who’s come into her small town and bought her favorite wedding venue to demolish and rebuild on the land. One night stand ➡️ enemies.

The chemistry is strong with these two though and a business partnership will benefit both of them, so they agree to a truce and friendship. Enemies ➡️ friends. But friendship quickly becomes more when they decide on starting a fling, for the short period of time while Myles is in town before moving onto his next development project. Enemies ➡️ Friends ➡️ Lovers. Will the girl who’s only ever had long term relationships be able to let go of the man who’s never had a serious relationship, when their time is up? Will they be able to forget each other, or will Myles decide to give up his jet-setting lifestyle to settle down with the only woman who’s ever made him willing to question if he wants more than occasional no strings attached lovers?

This was my first Laura Pavlov book and I ate it upppp. You, Me, and Forever is small town x billionaire romance, starting with a fling then enemies to friends to friends with benefits to lovers when someone catches feelings. Myles is down bad for Montana and cannot get enough of her, cannot stop spoiling her.. and I am obsessed. I highly recommend this book if you’re a fan of any of these tropes! And I *cannot* wait for the next book in this series, to learn all about what’s in store for Violet, Montana’s business partner.

This book felt like a movie in the very best way. And if you loved the movie The Wedding Planner, but want him to be the billionaire she had a one night stand with who is tearing down her most popular wedding venue instead of the groom… you are going to love this.

Myles and Montanas story is fun and heart warming, and the banter… oh the banter is immaculate. Laura knocked it out of the park with this one.

✨ Billionaire Romance
✨ Small Town
✨ Wedding Planner FMC
✨ One Night Stand
✨ Friends with Benefits

I love the way Laura writes small town life, and this one is cute, quirky and an absolute must read.

Myles and Montana are adorable from their very first meeting where they have a one night stand before she knows he is the enemy. Ans then they follow that up with banter so good. I was laughing out loud. Then they decide to be friends with benefits and I was swooning and giggling all while knowing their plans of a no strings cling were going to go up in smoke 😂

The spice is great, the nicknames are on point. (Honey badger and moneybags 😂 I loved it) and the way these two finally got their happily ever after.

Also it’s small town Alaska and two of the most important side characters are a Moose called Phillip wellhung and Porky the porcupine and now I want them as pets.

You, Me And Forever is book 1 in the Blushing series and it was absolutely perfect. What a beautiful start to a new series. I couldn't put it down. I have yet to read something by Laura that I haven't loved and devoured. I absolutely adored the setting of Blushing, Alaska, a quaint small town where all the residents are so close. It just brought such a sense of closeness and family to it all. The entire storyline was so interesting and really fun to follow. It was a very fast, easy and unputdownable read.

Myles & Montana have some crazy chemistry. Their banter is so damn fun, the back and forth between them had me chuckling quite a few times. The spice was absolutely scorching hot 🥵 I loved their nicknames for each other, just made me laugh every time. The way their relationship built and progressed was great. How Myles really grew and changed his ways was beautiful to see. The Porcupine & Moose had me dying of laughter 🤣 As much as there were a lot of funny moments, I did get teary eyed a few times, I did kick my feet in happiness and I closed the book with my heart being full.

Overall, this was an amazing start to a new series. I absolutely adored the setting, the characters, the storyline and I already can't wait to go back to Blushing, Alaska.

🎧 The narration by Cicely Meadows & Troy Duran was good. They brought the emotions and brought the characters to life. They made me truly feel everything. They had the right tones for the right moments. I enjoyed it!
