Jack Sage, United States Marshal, is again on the trail of killers. Guns flare, bullets fly, and the acrid smell of burning black powder fills the air. Jack is meting out justice in the Oklahoma Territory.
Called to the territory by President Grant, Jack Sage finds his life once more on the line as he endeavors to do his part to stop rampant savagery throughout the land.
Along the Arkansas River and nearing the end of his long journey from Wyoming, Jack rides upon the Clagg brothers, well known for their violence and mayhem, preparing to rob and kill three pioneer families headed west to begin new lives. His fast gun saves the innocents, and he captures the Claggs in the act, but is this only the beginning?
Follow Jack Sage in, The Loyal Star, as he battles across the wild Oklahoma Territory to bring the wily Claggs to justice and end the days of their bloody reign.
Will Jack’s fast guns and hard fists be enough for him to overpower evil, or will this be his bloody end?
I am a retired Southwest Airlines pilot. My wife Paula and I, live with our Chihuahua, Gabe, in Mesa, Arizona in a 55+ Golf Resort even though we don't play golf. It affords my wife a very active lifestyle while I spend my time writing. As a child, I enjoyed going to the Saturday matinee and spending the day watching westerns and daydreaming about the old west. I shared a passion with one of my aunts and read every western I could get my hands on. John Wayne was my favorite actor and Louis L'Amour my favorite writer. I miss those days where the good guys win, they treat the ladies right, have honor and are trustworthy. So, in about 2014, I started writing my own westerns and became quite shocked that people enjoyed them. I am so thankful to those of you who read my books, take the time to write reviews and email me. John Wayne said it best when he said "without you, I wouldn't be here". Please accept my deepest appreciation.
Another gripping Jack Sage western. Under the supervision of a new hanging judge in Fort Smith, Jack has come across a set of outlaw brothers, a heinous crime and an orphan boy. In the midst of murderous killers, influential townsmen and more it's in the boarding house where Jack may have met his match in a way he never expected. This is a wide open classic western with all the elements that make a great story. In the tradition of the great western story tellers that preceded him, Don Robertson has written another tale that leaves you wanting more.
I love Marshall Jack Sage!! I've read every book and each one is better than the one before it. But this book has a special meaning and promise. Read to find out what that is. It's been a long time coming.
What a great addition to this series this book was. Action galore, laughter and most importantly love. Jack did a great job in this book. To those that enjoy a great western not reading this series would be a great loss for you.
Another Jack Sage adventure and this one with a bit of a love story! As always the villains are despicable and Jack Sage is the perfect hero! Grabs you on page one and does not let loose until the last page! Exciting and Endearing!
Enjoyable series continues with a terrific MC and solid support characters. The quality of writing is excellent, and the storyline is exciting with plenty of action. Hoping that Jack may have found romance. Looking forward to volume 7!
It’s been awhile since I read a good Western. Jack Sage and his saga brought back memories of Zane Gray and other writers of the time. it vividly reveled the tragedy, suspense and justice during the settling of the West. Good prevailing over evil.
Definitely Donald is one of the best story teller of the old west around. This Jack Sage series rivals the Lone Ranger adventures. So Realistic I can smell the coffee and feel the rain and cold. On to savoring the next story.
Another hit for DLR. I wish our hero would have had real hea instead of a vague kiss and a promise before riding off into the sunset. Still an entertaining read with likable characters.
Once again Mr Robertson hits it out of the park. Engaging storyline, could not put down until I finished the book. Historical western adventure at its best.
Pretty exciting book! Moments where you are on the edge of your seat!
Well, maybe one hero US Marshall might find true love. Let’s hope so. Love the horses and children in this book. I wonder how his arm doesn’t wear out pulling all those horses but then that’s a minor thought. The Claggs are pretty bad bunch of brothers! I have no doubt he should have finished off the last brother - watch—he will appear in the last or next book.
