Julia Stairwell, wife of televangelist Robbie Stairwell, collapses on live TV. Moments later, in vision, she declares that Jesus Christ has called America to return to its Christian roots. The explosive message splits the country and is just what Senator Evan Goodman needs to fuel his militant political machine on its way to the White House. Violence erupts in America, and divides not only the nation, but the world. Is what she says true? Julia recruits the Smithie & Sloane Foundation to find a missing book of the Bible Jesus tells her will support the claim. As one team heads for dangerous ground in war-torn Syria, another fights the growing civil war on our own soil. Will scripture provide the means for the next president to take power, or lead to Armageddon?
I've been a student, a teacher, a writer, an editor, and learned that awards and money are fleeting, but the reward comes in just telling a good story.
After working in public relations and editing for twenty years, I became a professor of communication in Texas for another 23 years. Then came retirement, un-retirement, and part-time teaching. Retirement, after all, is pretty boring.
I'm a husband of a loving wife for more than 50 years, have two grown children, and two grandsons. I love kayaking, reading, writing, computer games, home repairs, and dogs.
I've written 28 books, 200 articles and stories, and still consider myself a student of the craft with much to learn. I write mostly Christian suspense, but dabble in other areas occasionally. More than anything, I have learned that the joy is in the journey.
I am glad I won this book from a Goodreads Giveaway. I enjoyed this book as well as the message it delivers. The lines are being blurred with politics and religion especially now and this book is a good example of what is happening of what is happening with the current administration. I would recommend this book.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. I found it interesting, suspenseful, and thought provoking. I am not a religious person and very comfortable with my beliefs and understanding of how and why humans exist but with that said I do enjoy diving into books now and then written by people of faith.
I thought the subject matter was relevant, especially in America today and I appreciated the authors showing us both good and bad actors in this Christian book.
