Since joining the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit, Special Agent Autumn Trent has watched her team disintegrate. A longtime agent was shot dead by his own partner, who later died by suicide. Two transferred, her best friend switched careers, and then her boss/boyfriend was blown up before her eyes. She’s one of the last left standing, barely holding on beneath the crushing weight of her grief.
But she’s still here. And she has a job to do.
A young woman has been found strangled at a mini-golf course, her head submerged in the castle moat. Her death mirrors two others within the last month. Each victim was young, blond, blue-eyed, and carefully positioned in eerily similar scenes. Three identical murders leave no room for coincidence.
This is the work of a serial killer. Killing unsuspecting women is child’s play to him.
As Autumn scrambles to decipher his twisted motives, she faces an even darker threat. The same ruthless adversary who tore her life apart by murdering her boyfriend has Autumn in their crosshairs. They’ll stop at nothing until she, too, has fallen.

AUTUMN' S RIDDLE is the fifth book in the Autumn Trent Series by Mary Stone and they just keep get better. Ms. Stone's world and character building are superb and will draw you right into the story -- leaving you feeling like you are part of the action.
Autumn still has not come to terms with Aiden's death and she's determined make those responsible pay. But, right now, there's a new case to solve and a new boss, SAC Mullen that's turning the office toxic. He lacks compassion and he's a micro-managing jerk.
The BAU team new case is about three women found dead and displayed at separate mini golf courses with no clues to help the team. Winter's also in town to check on Autumn and it's not long before her 'gift' shows her a red kill shot glow on her friend. Autumn's in trouble and Winter needs to help her friend.
Another must read! The ending is a surprise leaving me pins-n-needles waiting for the next installment. Everything I read by this author is right at the top of the charts. If you love chilling thrillers, start with the Winter Black series.
I did received an advance copy of Autumn's Riddle and this is my freely given and honest review.
This is a strange case. A man who grew up traumatized by his killer father decides to repeat his crimes in an effort to bring attention to the father's case. Wow! The most unlikely of candidates or should I say suspects turns out to be the strangest killer of all. He doesn't seem to have malice, and he seems to actually regret his actions. But he is a man on a mission to settle old scores. While Autumn is still grieving the loss of Aiden, she is trying to regain her focus. Maybe a visit from her old friend Winter Blake will help. But then add in the most narcissistic team leader ever known and the mix is very off. The team is solid, and they are pulling together to solves crimes and help each other. But something is boiling under the surface. Why is this new team leader such a jerk? Why can't anyone know what's going on with the investigation into Aiden's murder? What's really going on here? Can't wait for the story to continue.
Autumn has to find the newest serial killer, the one leaving bodies at mini golf sights.
Autumn has survived while so many others have been killed. Her new boss at the agency is nothing like her former boss and hates women. He is trying to play one part of the team against the other but they have worked too long to be played that way. Now she just has to put her feelings aside to find the newest serial killer on the loose. This one has escalated and has killed three blond blue eyed women in a month leaving their bodies at various mini golf courses. All the women have been draped the same way. Now her team must put their sorrow aside and consecrate on finding the monster before he does it again.
WOW! Can Mary Stone craft such characters that the reader feels such loathing for, including SSA Mullen, and they might not even be the killer! In her latest Autumn Trent story, Autumn’s Riddle, the author has outdone herself with her creativity! I love the bits of humor thrown in as Agents Trent and Ming interview a unique family that live in a school bus. The chapters that involve the killer and his thoughts let you dive into his past to see how he came to be! The addition of Winter Black is a delightful bonus! Another must read from Mary Stone!
Autumn's Riddle is the 5th book in the Autumn Trent series by Mary Stone. Autumn is still trying to recover from the death of Aiden and has to deal with a new boss who is a real jerk.
Autumn and the rest of the crew are assigned to find the killer of young women whose bodies are left a mini golf courses. In the course of the book we are given an insight into the killer's past and why he seems to be killing young women.
The book ends with a cliffhanger and In can hardly wait until the next book in the series.
As FBI agent Autumn Trent is trying to cope with the realization that her boyfriend & boss Aiden Parrish has been b!own up in his car in front of her, she is confronted with a new boss & a new case. Bodies of blue eyed, blonde women have been found indicating a serial killer. As she & her team investigate, Autumn has her mind on trying to find Aiden's killer & getting justice. However, it seems Autumn is also a target. Can she solve both cases before there are more murders.,including her own? This is a fast paced read that won't disappoint.
Can you solve Autumns Riddle? I have enjoyed Mary Sones book for a few years now and I love the Autumn and Winter series as much as I love the others Mary has written. Autumns Riddle has you scratching your head wondering what in earth is going on. I really enjoyed the book but I am so sorry for the loss of SSA Aiden Parrish. And Autumns loss of him in her life, her grief is overwhelming for her. You need to read this series it is great. Any of Mary's Series's are great and you will enjoy them all.
In this 5th book of the 2nd Autumn series, she continues to struggle with Aiden's death and is out for nothing less than revenge. Her focus, at the moment has to be divided as the new SAC Mullen is sexist and a control freak which is causing unnecessary tension with the team. As they investigate the new cases of women showing up dead on mini golf courses, Autumn continues to struggle with focus. Her friend, Winter and teammate, Sun, are extremely concerned for her welfare as they believe the hunted is also a hunter.
This is one of my favorite series with the best set of characters who have been vetted and developed over the years. An awesome ending and a must read!!
I have read all these, with one more to go. Book 6 !!! Mary Stone is Such an Accomplished Author. This is a Series of books you can't put down.!!!. I have Decided she is One of my most favorite Authors. Stephen King being my number one Author.!! But they have really different styles of writing. But I love their Novels The Best.!!! Stephen and Mary. I wish I had that God Given Talent.!!! Now I will get on to the the Autumn Treat Series Book 6 Autumn Tents Legacy.!!!!
Autumn is struggling, but back to work. Work without Aiden is difficult and Aiden’s replacement is not making things easier. The team is called together to a young woman found dead at a local miniature golf course. Thruinvestigation they learn this is not the only body discovered at area mini golf courses. There seems to be only minor similarities between the victims. It takes some luck and hard investigative work to begin to see the true picture. Exciting “who done it”.
Oh Mary, you outdone yourself again. You created some new detestable, scary and interesting characters. The plots made me think hard. I enjoyed the Winter’s return and the humor among the agents. Poor Autumn, while still suffering from Aiden’s demise, she must deal with Mullen , the worst boss ever. I hate him more than the killer. lol. The cliff hanger ! Alta is not the scariest one. I guess. The horrors are on the horizon. I’m already sweating. Bravo,.
Autumn's Riddle ( Autumn Trent Series Season Two Book 5)
OMG!!!!!!! This book was amazing. The team managed to get 2 criminals off the street and caught a murderer, plus they may have solved a bunch of cold disappearances. Autumn is still dealing with Audian's death, and now the elderly Fabrisso, is trying to get her to save his granddaughter, all while being a target for his daughter. She has so much to do. I can't wait to read the next book.
The search for Aiden’s killer proceeds on several different levels; those most affected by the death are sequestered from the investigation.
In the interim, the new supervisory agent seems a martinet with no emotional intelligence, as the team seeks out a serial killer leaving victims at miniature golf courses.
A young woman was found at a miniature golf course with her head in the water feature. She had blond hair and blue eyes just like the two previous women left dead on a miniature golf course. Mullen hasn't mellowed but the team worked together to solve an usual case.
ANOTHER GREAT READ IN THIS SERIES. THE STORYLINE IS ORIGINAL AND GRABS YOU AND WON'T LET GO TILL THE END. PLENTY OF TWISTS AND TURNS TO KEEP YOU TURNING PAGES TILL THE END. WELL WRITTEN WITH GREAT CHARACTERS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK AND THE OTHERS IN THE SERIES.
Still reeling from Aiden’s death, Autumn and crew are sent to track down an unsub who is strangling young blond haired, blue eyed women and leaving them at miniature golf courses. Plus Winter is in town trying to help Autumn through her grief and get information regarding Aiden murder.
Another great read from Mary Stone. A real page turner that you can't put down until you reach the end. Always look forward to reading the Autumn Trent series because they don't disappoint. Cannot wait until the next book in the series. I am an ARC member and this is my honest review.
This is the fifth book in the Autumn Trent Series Season Two series. The plot was so entertaining, it held my interest all the way through. I enjoyed Winter’s appearance in the story. There were so many twists and turns and so much drama. It’s a not-to-be-missed page turner!
This is the fifth book in Autumn Trent Series. There are so many turns and twist in this story. It’s a page turner. I can’t wait to see the outcome to Aiden’s. Who killed him or is he really dead. Can’t wait for next book
Women are being strangled and left at putt put golf places. Winter comes to stay with Autumn to help her find out who blew up Aiden & sees a red dot on Autumn’s forehead. Aiden’s replacement is still being a jerk. I hope the next book is ready!!!!
Winter has come back to Virginia for Autumn, Sun has told her she's very worried about her. Autumn and team capture a serial killer and now Autumn is on the hunt for Side's killer. Great series. Great author.
Very interesting story line. I loved that Winter came into the story. Love the cross over. I hope Mullins doesn't last long in his position. Guy has to go. Definitely a must read.
The relationship between Autumn and Sun and the new supervisor is interesting. The story had the twist and turns that we all enjoy. It left me wanting more.
This was a awesome story about Autumn and Winter is there. Autumn trying to find out who is killing with lots of suspense and action. Thank you for this great story.
Autumn and her team and Winter by her side....glad Winter is still a part of this saga. I was really disappointed about Adin but I haven't given up hope.
