The best advent study I’ve ever done! This is not a devotional but an intentional deep-dive into scripture during the advent season, studying the Word about God’s faithfulness to His promises, especially regarding Jesus. This study connected all of scripture together and pointed everything back to Jesus, not only His birth but the reason of His birth - for His life, death and resurrection. People of the Old Testament long awaited their promised Messiah, and we now await and long for His return.

This was an incredible deep dive into the history and prophesies leading up to the birth of Jesus. It’s incredible to see exactly how Jesus fulfills every prophecy and how God created the perfect environment for His coming.

Every Daily Grace Co study is so well done. It is biblically rooted and teaches the history and culture around the time for greater understanding. It has good comprehension questions and practical applications at the end of each day. I am thankful for the work they do to provide studies that honor the Lord and teach us more about Him!

And I am even more thankful for a Savior Who came - just as He promised He would. 🤍

4.5 Stars! 🌟

I truly enjoyed this Advent Bible Study from the Daily Grace Co. I have truly enjoyed their Bible studies and resources over the years, so I was thrilled to be gifted this Advent Study by a friend! Most years, I do an Advent devotional, so it was nice to do more of a Bible study this year.

I found the resource to be biblically sound. I loved the resources they provide within the study to expand your historical, cultural, and scriptural understanding of the birth of Christ. They provide just enough context to deepen your understanding, but not so much where it could be overwhelming for the reader. Therefore, I found this to be a great resource for any Christian, including new believers. There is something for all of us to learn!

In terms of the format, I found the Bible study to be well formatted. I liked the weekly and daily divisions. I loved that the weekly divisions aligned with the different Advent candles, as that gave it a unique twist. However, I will say I wish I’d known sooner that there were activities included for lighting the Advent candles! I would have purchased a set. It would be cool if DGC included it as part of a bundle in the future for those who might like to participate in the activity! I still enjoyed it either way and learned a lot about the meaning behind each advent candle and what it is meant to signify. I also liked that there was a verse to focus, meditate, and memorize each week.

From a daily division standpoint, I loved that there was a section to deepen your understanding of the context for the daily passages. Each daily section also included a few reflective questions, which I found useful to thinking through the passage more and elongating my study. They also include a section called “Today’s Notes,” which was useful when I wanted to jot down additional notes, thoughts or context. Only thing I would change is adding a little more space in between the questions - some of the questions had multiple parts (2-3 parts to answer per question), but the space allotted was the same as for questions with only 1 part. Sometimes, I used the “today’s notes” section to continue answering a question if I ran out of room, but if I had already written in that section, I either didn’t have room to add more or it could get confusing based on how it was split it up.

The overall design, photos, and color palette were beautiful. They did not overpower or become the central focus of the study, as the study truly kept Christ and Scripture at the center. But, it beautifully complimented the study and thoughtfully showcased the beauty and joys of Winter and the Advent / Christmas season.

In terms of time, it generally took me an hour or less each day. I could easily customize it to spend more or less time depending on how deep I felt led to go that day. It was the perfect amount of time, as it never felt overwhelming to keep up with throughout the season. It helped me be intentional in pausing throughout the busy season to remember Christ as the reason we are celebrating.

Overall, I really enjoyed this Advent study! I would genuinely consider doing another Advent Study from DGC in the future. Thank you to all who worked to put this beautiful and enriching resource together!

A lovely daily study guide to the true purpose and meaning of Christmas/the advent season which was all so deeply rooted in scripture, as well as historical facts. I felt like going through this Christmas season I was prepared so well to truly reflect on what was important and that the greatest gift we could all ever receive is Jesus 🤍

I finished it a couple of days late but still a good Advent study! I wish the questions were as deep as the actual content but still enjoyed all that I learned and the focus on Jesus’ fulfillment of the OT prophecies.

Was not expecting this to be as theologically and historically rich as it was. I would definitely purchase a Daily Grace Co study again, and this advent one was so insightful and impactful for me during the Christmas season. Can be a lot to commit to daily but worth it

This was a wonderful advent study to keep me focused on the real meaning of Christmas. It was also in depth and not just the surface story. I might even do this study again next year.

Loved how this advent plan revealed all the prophecies and promises fulfilled by Jesus (as the title states)! It was different than previous plans I have completed and refreshing.

A very good Bible study; provides historical and cultural context to the Old Testament anticipation of a messiah and fulfillment of scripture in Christ's birth, life, death, and resurrection.

Very good focus on the things surrounding the Christmas season. Good reading but not much to the workbook part other than journaling.

This was an okay study. it was aesthetically beautiful. It was very historical, which I didn't realize, so it took me a while to get into it. A lot of the daily Bible readings you had to look up were the same/repeated day to day. It was interesting to look at both Matthew and Luke's same account of Jesus's life, and how those books differed.
