Fabrizio When someone threatens my children, I have no choice but to save their teacher alongside them. I took her to determine if she is a victim or an accomplice. I had no intention of keeping her. I never intended to touch her. I never intended to start feeling again. Because in my world, feelings are a weakness. And in the shadows, someone is already waiting to exploit any sign of weakness.
Sienna Fabrizio Moretti is a man whose name sends shivers down spines. A man I hoped never to meet. And when I did, I was torn from my life and confronted with a choice that wasn't much of one – to stay as his captive or become the nanny to his children. He makes it clear that I am his to do with as he pleases. And while I fall more and more in love with the twins, I am determined not to fall for their father. Even though every time he touches me, I lose control over my foolish heart. But falling for Fabrizio jeopardizes not only my heart, but also my life.
Author's Temptation is located on the darker side of romance and intended for an adult audience. It is the first book in the Twisted Fate series and can be read as a standalone.

🥀 single dad x nanny 🖤 grumpy x sunshine 🥀 fast burn 🖤 dubcon 🥀 revenge & betrayal 🖤 morally gray MMC 🥀 kidnapping 🖤 grief & loss 🥀 forced proximity
This is a fast burn story between a morally gray, grumpy single dad and his sunshine nanny who was previously his kids’ teacher. Tbh, the story wasn’t as dark as I anticipated, which I didn’t mind at all. I’d say it was quite an easy and fast read. However, there could be some triggers, so you know the drill! Check the CWs and TWs! I really loved the twins and their relationship, just as much as I loved their relationship with Sienna. The three of them were so adorable together!
I genuinely enjoyed this book, especially knowing that it is a debut novel, so I’m honestly intrigued to see what’s next!
Thanks to the author for providing me an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
If you're looking for a mafia romance that doesn't have that much mafia activity on page, but with a lot of spice, this is the book for you. Mafia is mentioned many times and the MMC does some things on page (mostly towards the end) the rest is very vanilla.
He is a single dad (widowed) raising his adorable twins when their teacher gets involved with them and becomes their nanny. Being so close to the mafia father, she is bound to oscillate between anger and desire and they don't refrain from exploring their wants and needs.
It almost seems like a cozy read, spare the kidnappings, since most of the action happens inside the main house or the beach one.
The only thing I didn't enjoy that much is the constant repetition, for example using each time when refering to the children how you can hear the "pitter patter of their feet" and stuff like that.
What is it about a man that is emotionally closed off but opens up the FMC that makes me eat it up. This is Ivy Rose’s debut book, and it did not feel like it. I thoroughly enjoy mafia romances and I really need to start reading them more, this book just solidifies that.
Fabrizio, (Our MMC), is a single father to his twins after his wife passed away. Growing up his father ran the business, when he became of age he was expected to help out alongside his two brothers. However when his wife passed he swore to himself that he would provide his children with all the love and care and possible safety he could, so he changed to expanding their legal businesses. Understandably he is closed off so when he goes to pick up his kids from school and finds them in danger along with their teacher, why is he suddenly gaining feelings toward her.
Sienna (Our FMC), adores children especially Fabrizio’s children, and they are quietly her favourites, so when she is faced with danger at school and trying to protect them but ends up getting hurt and passing out, she wakes up in a bed that isn’t hers. She gets held captive by Fabrizio to keep his kids safe and gives her an ultimatum of continuing to be the kids' teacher and their nanny or just be a captive. Over time they both develop feelings, and fall for one another.
The interactions between his twins, Maddy and Flynn with both Sienna and Fabrizio himself are ADORABLE!!
Even though this is a Mafia romance, it doesn’t go as dark as some others I’ve read but this is a very spicy book and if you don’t like spice, this may not be the book for you. -------------------------------------- Quotes I Loved
They should never know the burden of a name that can open doors and close coffins.
And then, I met her. The woman with the most expressive eyes that seemed to hold entire galaxies within them
"What are you doing here?" I ask, trying to keep my voice steady. "In my bedroom? In my house? On my property?" he retorts, sarcasm dripping from every word. I can't help but chuckle and roll my eyes at his smirk. His gaze travels hungrily down my body, lingering on every curve as if he's memorizing them. "You know what I mean," I say, my voice tinged with exasperation. "I'm afraid I have absolutely no idea," he replies, feigning innocence as he steps closer, his knuckles brushing gently across my cheek.
Sometimes, a wave of guilt washes over me when my thoughts drift to the children's actual mother. The feeling is fleeting, quickly replaced by the knowledge that my late wife would have wanted exactly this. She would have wanted our children to be happy, to be loved unconditionally, and for me to find a way to live on. In those moments, I find solace in knowing that Sienna has not only filled a void in our lives but has also honored my late wife's memory by bringing joy and love back into our home
She gives me a quick peck on the lips, her touch fleeting but sweet, before hurrying to the car. I watch her go, a sense of longing mingling with the anticipation of her return, feeling more lighthearted than I have in a long time. As she slips into the car, I make a promise to myself: Family comes first. Never again will I lose sight of that.
This is a fun mafia romance that keeps it lighthearted instead of going super dark. It’s got that classic grumpy/sunshine vibe and features Fabrizio, a devoted single dad, and Sienna, who’s the teacher for his twin kids. At first, things get a little crazy after a masked man comes to his kid's school and tries to hurt them. Fabrizio has to take Sienna captive to protect his twins, but as they spend time together, feelings start to grow, even though they both try to fight it off. Eventually, Sienna feels right at home with Fabrizio and his two adorable kids, Maddy and Flynn, and their interactions are just the cutest! Fabrizio's backstory brings some depth, especially with his loss, but the overall read is quick and easy, with some light mafia action sprinkled in. The light banter and instant connection were refreshing, and the bond between Sienna and the twins adds a lot of heart to the story. Plus, there’s a twist at the end that you'll enjoy! If you're looking for a chill mafia romance with some spice, this one’s a hit!
** ARC was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review**
“Temptation” is Ivy Rose's debut romance, and it was definitely a surprise. Debut novels can be tricky, especially with ARCs. While with other authors, you can check their work. Here, there was not a lot to rely on but the tropes and blurb. However, personally, that is part of the charm. Discovering and accompanying a new author on their journey is always fun and exciting!
“Temptation” gets a lot of things right, Fabrizio is a broody MC especially since he lost his wife and was left with their two children. While he tries to respect their routines and make the children understand little of his world, he can’t escape his work and how ruthless he is. When the children’s safety is threatened, Sienna steps in to try to protect them but it’s dragged to Fabrizio’s world.
The chemistry between Fabrizio and Sienna is amazing. Sienna is clearly a fighter and while Fabrizio is ruthless with what he wishes and how he takes, Sienna can take care of him her own way! She is fierce and is not afraid to fight what goes on between them. “Temptation” is not a slow burn and though we enjoy a good tease and a good banter, the narrative begs for the two main characters to succumb to each other. Since their relationship starts quite early, it is great to see Sienna becoming more of a motherly role to the children and even just a good person for Fabrizio to be with. She never quite fears him as she should and she allows him to dominate every single thought she has when they’re together. The moments she has with Fabrizio and the children are very emotional. Fabrizio sees in her someone who can accept his way of living while giving the children the normality they deserve and in return, Sienna has the family she wanted for so long to have.
Sadly one thing that I believe did not work so well was the ending. The HEA in the final chapter was enough, I felt two epilogues with a rushed plot twist that handled such a serious topic left a sour taste. This is of course personal, all my reviews are in a way personal, but it was something I hope the author along with betas/editors can work on.
“Temptation” delivers on every promise made in the blurb—it is spicy and dark but also has moments of affection and sweetness. It is not entirely pitch black, and for readers who enjoy a lot of smut but are afraid to make a story too dark, it is perfect.

THOUGHTS The chemistry between our MCs is steamy. Forced proximity with a grumpy single dad. This book burns real fast but it’s so good! I love the relationship sienna has with the twins. It’s adorable. I was hooked from page one - grumpy sunshine - Forced proximity - Single dad - Morally grey MMC - Spice 🌶️
I was blessed with the chance to read Temptation by Ivy Rose before its release, and it completely hooked me from the start! The story had the perfect mix of action—both the exciting plot twists and the steamy moments that kept things interesting. The characters were so well-written, and the chemistry between the leads was amazing. The Moretti brothers are such a fascinating family, and I can’t wait to dive into the next books to see their stories unfold. If you’re looking for a book with drama, spice, and a storyline that keeps you turning the pages, this one’s for you. Definitely recommend! 5⭐️ 3.5🌶
Thank you for letting me be a ARC reader for this book 📕 I freaking loved this book!!!! It had everything Mafia, Romance, Suspense, Spice and more! It had me captivated from page one. I could not put it down. I loved Sienna and the bond she formed between her and the kids. Preschool teacher kidnapped by a mafia family becomes a nanny for the children filled with so many emotions.
• Fast Burn • Single Dad • Grumpy x Sunshine • Morally Grey MMC • Spicy 🌶️ • Violence • Forced Proximity
After a run-in with a masked man going after his children at school, Fabrizio will stop at nothing to figure out who threatened his kids and hurt their teacher who happened to be in the crosshairs.
What better way to protect his children, keep a level of normalcy, and to figure out if Sienna is involved in the attack then by taking her to become a captive or a nanny for Flynn and Maddy.
🖤 Mafia romance 🖤 Single dad 🖤 Forced proximity 🖤 Reluctant love
Ok so first I have to acknowledge I was shocked to learn this was ivys first book and it did not disappoint. Mafia, Grumpy hurt, possible trigger warnings Sienna who starts as Fabrizios twins preschool teacher who turns not necessarily by choice nanny /homeschool teacher. I don't want to give any more away but it's spicy and was hard to put down.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book had a good storyline and a twist I didn't expect. The characters were great, especially the kids. Some parts of the book seemed a bit open ended or explained, but I was an ARC Reader for this book so I'm sure the final book will bring everything together.
This was a nice light hearted mafia read instead of the usual dark mafia stories. I would have liked a little more details compared to spice to make it more exciting but overall it was well written and enjoyable.
The chemistry between the 2 MC’s was spicy & heartfelt. It was definitely a fast burn.
Fabrizio, I enjoyed watching his character develop & change, for the better, through this novel.
Sienna’s personality was so well written, her caring & nurturing spirit, as well as her spark & feistiness!
Flynn & Maddy, were adorable & I loved watching them blossom through the book as well. They steal the readers hearts right from the first chapter.
The plot was well done, lots of twist & unexpected moments throughout. This is a mafia romance, but not a dark one, it leans more into the spice & grumpy mafia dad vs sunshine nanny aspect. There is some mafia action seen in the book, but not a ton.
Ever felt like when you’ve meet an old friend you’ve haven’t seen in years and you can just pick up right where you left off? Well hello dear so good to see you, your book is great, it is well written and beautifully told and I’m glad I read book, cause I can’t wait till the next one comes out
I was struggling between a 3- and 4-star review with this book. I have a pretty consistent way of reviewing and typically if I enjoyed the book enough to want to read the author again but not necessarily the book I would do a 3 star. A 4 star is when I loved the book and would read it again. With this one I am not sure if I would read it again, but I am interested to learn more about the characters and story. So, officially this is a 3.5-star rating because I would read the author again and I am intrigued to learn more about the family. Now, this was a book by a first-time author which surprised me. It was well written and jumps immediately into the spice. When I originally started reading, I was expecting a darker book especially due to the tropes I was seeing on social media. After reading I would not consider this dark at all. I am a huge dark romance reader and was really expecting more when it came to the "dark side" of things. I found myself thinking, oh this might happen and then we will see the action! That said action never really happened. Even when we got to a part that could have consisted of the "action" it just glazed over it and nothing was detailed. Everything just kind of happened off page. So, after I finished the book, I sat back and thought about it as a whole. When I take out the aspect of "dark romance" I really enjoy the story and the development of the characters. If you expect a typical detailed dark romance, you will probably be a bit disappointed but if you want a light mafia related romance then I highly recommend. In this story we follow Sienna, a preschool teacher, and Fabrizio, middle child in a mafia family and a widowed single father of twins. Sienna finds herself protecting the twins when a threat enters the school. Fabrizio shows up just in time to save his children and "the teacher". Fabrizio makes the rash decision to bring the teacher home because she is either part of the threat or has now made herself another target. He also no longer trusts to send his children to school so Sienna becomes a reluctant live-in nanny/schoolteacher until Fabrizio can figure out who is threatening his family. The story has several different developments. The lustful side of things develop quickly as the couple find themselves involved in a nighttime relationship. The emotional connection is much slower to build. We see a very slow tear down of Fabrizio's walls and buildup of Sienna's trust. You find yourself really pulling for the characters and hoping that Fabrizio can find his healing. I found myself really bonding with the characters and loving the story more and more. At times it did seem a little slow but overall, it flowed well and kept me reading to the end.
I would like to start by saying a massive thank you to Ivy Rose, it has been a pleasure reading this ARC and i’ve adored every second of sleep I traded for reading this. No regrets!!
This book is about a hard-working teacher who puts effort into everything she does and adores children, but one day whilst she looking after the mafia’s twins after school, there’s and attempted kidnapping. Leaving Sienna injured and confused, but this will change her life forever.
Fabrizio is also on the hunt for the man who injured Sienna and attempted to kidnap his children, whilst the search is in progress he spends more time with the teacher. His hard exterior softens and he opens up to her in a way he hasn’t done since his wife passed.
The twins father, Fabrizio, insists Sienna stays at his place and helps looking after his children, Flynn and Maddy, at first she puts up a fight but she soon realises that she has no authority around and she’ll have to listen to him.
Sienna forms an instant connection with the children and gives them experiences of a normal childhood, and she soon falls in love with their father.
My first initial thought of Fabrizio is loving. I know he’s supposed to be a cold, heartless character but just from the prologue and his wish for his children to live a happy life shows how much caring and passionate he can be for those around him.
Sienna is such a likeable character and how she interacts with the children. Chapter one: She stood in-front of the twins, protecting them, knowing how harmful the man could be. Literally putting her life at risk for children who aren’t even hers.
The characteristics are portrayed excellently, showing the hesitance but bravery and how caring the characters are to each other. For example, when Flynn stood in-front of his sister to protect her, even though he’s five, it’s his natural instinct.
Please read warnings!!
I literally loved this book! And I want to say another huge thank you to Ivy❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Tropes: Forced Proximity Fast Burn Grumpy x Sunshine Kidnap Single dad + Nanny
Ivy delivers a sizzling and emotional ride with Temptation! This grumpy/sunshine, forced-proximity, single-dad mafia romance had me hooked from page one.
The story follows Fabrizio Moretti, a dangerous yet fiercely protective mafia boss, and Sienna, his children's sweet and caring teacher. When a threat endangers his twins, Maddy and Flynn, Fabrizio takes Sienna captive to determine if she's an ally or enemy. What follows is a whirlwind of tension, vulnerability, and unexpected tenderness.
The chemistry between Fabrizio and Sienna is undeniable, crackling with heat and emotion. Fabrizio is the ultimate "touch her and die" alpha male, while Sienna is a bookish, shy, but resilient heroine who finds herself torn between fear and attraction. Their dynamic is captivating, and watching their guarded walls crumble as they navigate their feelings is deeply satisfying.
The twins, Maddy and Flynn, absolutely steal the show. Their bond with Sienna adds depth and warmth to the story, balancing the high-stakes drama with moments of joy and humor. Ivy Rose's portrayal of their relationship makes the story even more endearing.
While this is a mafia romance, it leans more on the emotional and spicy side than the dark, gritty aspects of the genre. The pacing is fast, the twists are unexpected, and the ending ties everything together beautifully.
If you’re a fan of: Grumpy/sunshine tropes Single dads with a protective streak Nanny romances with a mafia twist Plenty of spice 🌶️ ...this book is for you.
The twisty plot keeps you guessing, the characters are well-developed, and the romance is both steamy and heartfelt. I can’t wait to see if some of the side characters, like Oliver, Vance, Marcello, and Romeo, get their own stories. Ivy Rose has crafted an addictive world, and I’m eager to dive back in!
Highly recommend for readers looking for a fun, fast-paced, and spicy mafia romance with a touch of heart. 💕
Oh, this one caught me off guard in the best way! For a mafia romance, it felt refreshingly soft and sweet – not what I expected, but exactly what I needed. Sienna and Fabrizio’s story is less about dark, dangerous mafia drama and more about love, family, and finding your way to happiness. Honestly, it had me smiling throughout. It’s like they wrapped a classic romance in a mafia aesthetic but sprinkled it with cosy, domestic vibes. 💕
Ok so What I Loved About This Book: • The Kids!: Fabrizio’s children were the sweetest addition. They made this story feel so wholesome, and I’m a sucker for those family dynamics in romances. 🥹 • The Balance: Even with a mafia backdrop, the focus was on relationships, family, and love. It was tender without losing the intrigue, thanks to that little twist. • The Lighthearted Vibes: The grumpy-sunshine dynamic was so fun to read! Sienna’s warmth balanced Fabrizio’s tough exterior perfectly.
What I Thought Could Change if I really had to choose: • The mafia element felt more like a backdrop than a driving force. If you’re expecting heavy mafia drama, this might feel a bit tame. • While the spice was there, it leaned more towards sweet rather than steamy. I didn’t mind, but some might expect a little more grit.
The Tropes • Forced proximity • Single dad • Mafia romance • Morally grey MMC • Nanny romance • Grumpy x Sunshine
If you’re in the mood for a sweet, cosy read where love blossoms alongside family, this one’s perfect for you. It’s a mafia romance, sure, but it’s really all about the heart. Sienna and Fabrizio’s story will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy. 🌟
Let’s talk mafia romance: it’s usually all brooding darkness, sinister plots, and characters so twisted you’d need a map to find their moral compass. But this book? It’s got a lighter touch. Sure, Fabrizio is a mafia boss doing some decidedly sketchy things, but the real story here is all about the sizzling, off-the-charts chemistry between him and Sienna, a teacher-turned-nanny with a knack for navigating his world—and his heart.
This is a second-chance romance with a heart. Fabrizio lost his first wife, the mother of his kids, and love wasn’t exactly on his agenda—until Sienna walked into his life. The sparks between them are electric, and watching Fabrizio slowly reveal his vulnerable side? Swoon-worthy. He’s dreamy, morally grey, and as skilled in romance as he is in everything else (ahem). Sienna, however, could’ve used a little more fire in the beginning. She gives in too easily, but then—the slap. That moment was pure redemption, flipping the script and making her strength undeniable.
And the plot? It’s layered with a twist you might partially guess, but the full extent? Totally blindsides you in the best way. It’s compelling, well-written, and leaves you satisfied... and yet craving more.
The only downside? Book 2 hasn’t been written yet, so we’re stuck waiting. But if this one is any indication, the next installment will be well worth it.
Moral of the story? Mafia romances don’t always need to be pure darkness; sometimes they just need Fabrizio.
From the first page, I was hooked! 🪝 Temptations high-stakes tension and emotional depth made it impossible to put down. 🔥
Sienna, a sweet preschool teacher, gets caught in the dangerous world of the Mafia when she’s kidnapped by Fabrizio Moretti, a powerful and fiercely protective Mafia boss. Her bond with his twins, Maddy and Flynn, was a highlight for me. As their nanny, Sienna’s warmth and kindness bring tenderness to the chaos. ❤️
When a threat endangers the twins, Fabrizio takes Sienna captive to uncover her true intentions. What follows is a thrilling mix of danger, tension, and unexpected tenderness that kept me on edge.
The chemistry between Fabrizio and Sienna is electric ⚡️. Fabrizio is the ultimate "touch her and die" alpha commanding, dangerous, but deeply protective. Sienna starts off shy and fearful but proves her strength and resilience, standing tall in the face of danger. Their dynamic is intense, with a perfect blend of vulnerability and fiery attraction. I was rooting for them every step of the way!
Temptation is a wild ride of danger, love, and unexpected moments of tenderness. Highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a thrilling, fast burn romance with a touch of danger and heart!
❤️ TROPES ❤️ -grumpy sunshine - Forced proximity - Single dad - Morally grey MMC - Spice 🌶️ -Fast burn 🔥
Thank you Ivy Rose for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and review I loved every moment. ❤️
HOW WAS THIS A DEBUT BOOK?! I feel like I've been reading Ivy's writing style forever. Forced proximity and Mafia are two of my favourite tropes. If you are new to Mafia and want a fast-paced, not-too-dark romance, this is the perfect recommendation.
* Skip if you don't like summaries * Fabrizio is a single father to twins, a boy and a girl. Sienna is the kids' teacher, and they adore her. One day, someone walks into the school to capture the kids, but Sienna protects them. Fabrizio gets there in time and decides to pull the kids out of school and keep the teacher as a home school/live-in nanny. During this time, Sienna's light starts to shine through the darkness the family lives in and even soften some Mafia members.
Fabrizio is definitely your classic grumpy MMC. He suffered a significant loss with his late wife and will do anything to protect what is his, including shutting off his emotions. Sienna is sunshine. She's a positive and happy presence the twins need while being sheltered. Maddy and Flynn (the twins) are the story's stars for me. They hit you right in the feels, and their interactions with everyone are precious. The spice...oh, the spice in this is not for the weak. On top of that, without the spice, the plot still holds its own.
Things I liked: - Fast Pace - Attention-grabbing - The smut 🥵🤌🏾 - Character's personalities - The end twist
I was offered to read this book as an ARC copy and I give this review with my honest opinion.
Firstly both characters were likeable and I found myself enjoying the read the story of the two was easy to follow and relatively quick read. I found the interactions with the twins Maddy and Flynn so touching and just showed after the loss of their mother how they missed that maternal environment. Frabrizo was the typical “Made man” type but around his kids he was putty.
The plot was good, it focussed mostly on the murder of the twins mother and Fabrizio’s hunt to find the killer while having the alluring teacher care for the children. Ivy wrote their building relationship well and the spice sciences were plentiful that said i did find myself a little bored towards the end of the book as these scenes were a bit samey.
I would have liked to see more of Fabrizio’s life and the ending was sweet. I felt there are a few blanks in the family business and I would have been nicer to meet his other brother Romeo more or just some more light hearted brother interactions. The book is not very dark for a dark romance mafia story but if you have triggers then this would be fine.
🌶️🌶️🌶️ for spice 📜📜📜 for plot I would have just liked a few more twists and drama ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ overall I was engaged and would be interested in reading more from this series
Ivy’s writing drew me in straight from the start with how descriptive her writing is, I felt like I was there right along side the mcs and able to fully picture what was happening. If you’re looking for a mafia romance on the lighter side then look no further because Temptation is a must read. This book had so many of my favourite tropes in it and it didn’t disappoint. The single dad and nanny trope was done perfectly and I just loved how much we got to see of the kids throughout the book. There was a lot of character growth not only for the mcs but also for the children, I loved getting to see them all blossom just by having Sienna in their lives. There was a lot of chemistry between Sienna and Fabrizio and you could just tell that sparks were going to fly when they finally gave in especially given their forced proximity. This book was a fast burn as well as a fast read but it was done perfectly, you didn’t feel lost or like there were chunks of the story missing. You really got to see everything happening and how they developed throughout the book. There are some twist at the end of the book that will hit you in the face and you never see coming.
I can’t wait to see what else Ivy has in store, she’s easily going to become a new favourite author
Review: This is a fast paced, light mafia romance. The writing is easy to understand.
Sienna (FMC) is the teacher of Maddy & Flynn and Fabrizio (MMC) is the father.
When someone attempts to kidnap the kids from school, Sienna steps in to protect them. Meanwhile, Fabrizio comes to the rescue and kidnaps her to protect her if she's an innocent or hold her as a hostage if she's involved in the kidnapping.
She is forced to become the nanny to his children while Fabrizio tries to look into the problem.
During that period of time, they grow very close and start to understand each other. The kids were so sweet and adorable. Their character development was great and how they overcome their fears.
The betrayal was unexpected and the twist was written very well.
The epilogue was beautiful and the author made sure to give all the information on everything that was mentioned.
The only thing I disliked is that there is a lot of inner monologues and descriptions. I do like inner monologue to a certain extent but I like dialogues more between the characters because it makes the plot interesting.
Overall, I liked this book. Maddy & Flynn have my heart 💝
(I feel like Marcello's book is going to be the next one - Just my thoughts)
Thank you Ivy Rose author for providing me with this ARC 🥰
I had the honor of reading this book as an ARC and thank you for allowing me to read your debut novel Temptation.
This mafia romance book brought on a lot of different emotions at different times. Our MMC Fabrizio is a single dad who is widowed and has twins, Maddy and Flynn. He is kind of a grumpy sunshine who is also morally grey. One day a masked man shows up at the twins school to try and hurt them and Fabrizio takes his children out of the school for protection and the teacher Sienna our FMC. He tells her she is to be the nanny.
The relationship you see that forms between her and the twins is absolutely heartwarming and adorable. I loved reading about the relationship she forms with the twins it was so cute. There was only sprinkles of the mafia I felt in this book. So mafia romance? Not as much as just romance with lots of spice. The relationship that formed between her and Fabrizio had me on the edge of my seat like, oh my that’s spicy!!! I ate that up!!!
If you’re looking for a heart warming semi-mafia romance with lots of spice then this book is for you! Thank you Ivy Rose for trusting me with your debut novel and allowing me to give you my honest review! I can’t wait to read the next book!!
As an avid slow burn fantasy book girl I was a little concerned about how much I'd enjoy this book, especially when I figured out the burn was definitely not slow. However, I figured if I can read about dragons I can supend my disbelief over this. I am so glad I did!
It isn't what I'd consider a dark romance, but its a mafia romance with darker themes. Kidnapping, death, and revenge all read well in the story, but it was the characters that made this story good. Sienna's relationship with the twins was a joy to read and it captured my heart. I loved reading how Fabrizio's character changed and opened up as the story progressed. You could see his heart from the beginning. But being able to see the moments that opened his heart was nice.
The plot was secondary to the characters. But I still enjoyed the story and the twist at the end was a great addition to the overall story! The spice was spicy but didn't feel gratuitous! And I enjoyed the chemistry between Sienna and Fabrizio!
I received this book as an ARC and my review is my honest opinion! Thank you Ivy for the chance to read your debut story!

What it’s about: She’s a teacher at a pre-school and she’s asked to stay late one evening. While she’s waiting for the father to come and collect his two twins, a gunman enters the building and threatens her to step aside so he can take the children. She gets in between them, effectively putting up a fight, but when their father turns up with his soldiers and scares the gunman off, she’s taken back to his compound as he needs to determine her roll in the events. Obviously, while she’s there, he can’t deny this unforeseen attraction he has to her.
My Review: A whole lot of spice and a solid plot, but it wasn’t a whole lot of mafia. There was some to be sure, but that wasn’t the plot driver. I was interested in where the story was going, and it kept me up a bit, but it wasn’t the mafia part, but rather where the author was going with the characters. Idk, it was good, but not amazing, so standard.

I loved this book so much that I flew through it!! It was such a fun, fast-paced mafia romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.
It was definitely a spicy read, but I enjoyed seeing the interactions between the characters and the progression of the romance story. It was definitely more on the lighter side, without too big of a focus on the mafia aspect of it, which was actually refreshing.
Sienna and Fabrizio.. ✨️ chefs kiss. ✨️ I LIVE for the single dad x nanny trope, so I ate this up. Sienna loves the kids so much, despite her initial... arrival in the position as their nanny 😅. And I loved seeing Fabrizio come to the realisation that he may actually be feeling something for her.
The kids, Maddy and Flynn, were so adorable, and I loved their dynamic in the story. It was overall a light and easy read, but I would definitely check the TWs for a few of the topics addressed. If you want a quick and spicy read, this may be the one for you!
