All roads lead to Spring.
From poet Sonya Matejko, also known as the voice behind @aforceofnurture, comes Everlasting 101 Poems for Every Season of Life, a collection of poetry that gives voice to whatever you’re feeling—no matter what season of life you’re in.
Curated into four sections, Everlasting Spring explores themes like chasing your desires, embracing change, triumphing over life’s challenges, and stepping into a season of growth. From empowering you to daydream louder to encouraging you to go easy on yourself, Everlasting Spring recognizes that we all navigate life’s seasons at our own pace—sometimes out of order.
Within these pages, you’ll find both a gentle push when you need motivation and a warm embrace when you need that more. Plus, a selection of seasonal prompts will guide you in translating what you feel in your chest and making sense of what’s on your mind.
Sonya Matejko adores writing words and helping people find them(selves). As a writer, poet, author, and founder, she uses words to make people feel seen and heard (and does so using the Oxford comma). Her writing has appeared in The Atlantic, Forbes, Business Insider, HuffPost, Yoga Journal, and more. Her writing will soon appear on bookshelves with Everlasting Spring, her debut poetry collection (Yorkshire Publishing, January 21, 2025). Sonya is also the founder of Nurtured Narratives, a writing services company rooted in wellness, where she helps brands and female founders tell their stories (well). This is the dedication of the book to the reader: "To all the wildflowers who were once wallflowers, this is for you."
A metaphorical meaning. Who are the wallflowers? Traditionally refers to shy, introverted, or socially awkward individuals. Often associated with those who stand on the sidelines of social events, not actively participating.
Who are the wildflowers? Symbolize freedom, natural beauty, and authenticity. Represent those who grow and thrive in natural conditions, without artificial cultivation. The phrase suggests a journey of personal transformation. From a state of shyness and insecurity (wallflower) to a state of freedom, authenticity, and flourishing (wildflower).
The message of this thought is a tribute to those who have made this journey. It acknowledges the struggle and courage needed to bloom. It celebrates those who have found the strength to express their true nature. It encourages those who are still struggling, showing that change is possible.
My personal reflection is that of someone who, being at a certain age, has lived many lives and experiences. I find this metaphor particularly meaningful. It reflects the journey of many like me, after so many travels, from being a student in a foreign land to becoming an established professional, from apprentice to master.
This book is a great starting point for a broader reflection on personal growth and the courage to be authentic themes that could enrich the book about your life. Poetry can indeed interpret life by capturing the emotional landscape of human existence. It serves as a mirror reflecting our joys, sorrows, and complexities, allowing readers to explore their own experiences through the lens of the poet's words.
Unlike scientific inquiry, which focuses on factual explanations, poetry delves into feelings and ideals, offering insights that resonate deeply with our inner worlds. Through its rhythmic language and vivid imagery, poetry transforms the mundane into the extraordinary, enriching our understanding of life and encouraging introspection. Poetry acts as a vital interpreter of life, bridging personal experiences and universal truths. Thank you for writing it!
I'm proud to say that "Everlasting Spring: 101 Poems for Every Season of Life" is the first title my team and I reviewed after expanding The Rauch Review to include poetry book reviews and original poetry submissions. It's also the first book we reviewed on request from the author. I knew Matejko as a freelance writer, so I was so happy when she reached out. I barely know anything about poetry, but I can tell the poems deliver on the core promise of the book: season-themed advice, wisdom and musings. If you want more analysis, my poetry editor wrote a detailed review: https://josephrauch.com/therauchrevie...
Everlasting Spring is the perfect gift—whether for a family member, a close friend, or someone going through a personal journey. It speaks to every emotion and experience, making it a thoughtful and heartfelt present for anyone in your life. What I love most about this book is its versatility. Whether you're in the throes of love, heartache, or simply in need of a lift, Sonya’s words resonate deeply-Whether you're picking it up for a moment of reflection or as a way to celebrate happiness, this book is a treasure that will be returned to over and over!
A beautiful collection of poems. I found it to be a perfect read for anyone seeking a bit of light and positivity. I would recommend it to both poetry lovers and newcomers. I really resonated with a lot of the poems and look forward to revisiting it in the future as a source of comfort and insight.
A beautiful compilation of poems you can relate to in any season of life. This is the perfect easy gift for a friend who needs some encouragement that seasons are temporary, or just a good gift to remind yourself! Sonya is truly a gifted writer and an up and coming poet of our generation.
This collection of poetry is about life based on various topic hurt, pain, stress, anger, break up, small happiness, family, something we want to say but not the way it got conveyed to listener, things that hurts ome feeling, mental and emotional abuse of emotions.
The poetry is more of verse and very little of rhyming schemes set in them. The metaphoric use of feeling was good and channeling, the sublime was its japanese ikigai touch in poetry which is more like a saint saying.
It was more of the way of living life kind of poetry, and how to get away from self suffering and that was one of the best thing about the poetry.

3.75⭐(book 1/25 - 2025) I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. What a lovely little book! I really enjoyed what I read, even though it didn't feel overly deep and profound; it was sweet. Thank you, Sonya Matejko, Yorkshire Publishing, and Booksirens, for the free copy of this book.
