When Christmas wishes, determined eight-year-olds, and a dash of holiday magic combine, anything is possible—even finding home in the place you least expected.
All Skylar Baskin wants for Christmas is to make partner at her prestigious Chicago event planning firm. But when her grandmother breaks her hip trying to reach an old recipe box, Skylar finds herself back in Silver Creek Crossing, reluctantly running the family bakery during the busiest season of the year, struggling to recreate the "miracle" Christmas cookies that have made Sweet Pine Bakery famous.
The last thing single dad Landon Brooks needs is another complication in his busy life. Between running the town's only veterinary clinic and raising his eight-year-old daughter Emma alone, he has his hands full. But when he catches a certain new baker after she slips on the ice, he starts to wonder if some complications might be worth the risk.
As Emma's matchmaking schemes and the town's Christmas festival bring them closer together, Skylar discovers that flour-dusted mornings and small-town life suit her better than she ever imagined. But with her dream promotion waiting in New York and developers threatening the bakery's future, she'll have to choose between the life she planned and the family she never knew she wanted.
A Sprinkle of Christmas Magic is a heartwarming small-town Christmas romance about second chances, found family, and the realization that sometimes the sweetest dreams are the ones that don't follow a recipe.
Audiobook I found this full Audiobook on YouTube. I really like to stick with Christmas themed books through November and December. I hadn't been successful in finding one on Libby, so I kept looking and found this one. This was a meet-cute style, no spice, small town romance. Chicago party planner Skylar gets a call that her grandmother takes a fall and needs her help. Skylar immediately heads to the small town to run her grandmother's bakery while her grandmother recovers. Landon is the towns veterinarian, who just happens to be a widower with an 8 year old daughter, Emma. Emma and Landon become regular fixtures at the bakery because Emma enjoys helping Skylar learn about Christmas "baking" magic. Of course, feelings are has by all involved. Very Hallmark style and well written. I liked the dual narration.
My god this book was the cutest thing ever. If you want sweet clean holiday romance and it has a bakery with a dog and a matchmaking 8 year old in a small town this is for you! Perfect for fans of hallmark movies.
The perfect Christmas read that had tons of emotion and really made me root for the characters! This will be a book I will want to read every Christmas season to give me all the holiday feels!
It's an adorable simplistic Christmas story with adorable sweet characters that's the perfect Christmas cozy read 🎄🎄. Honestly I needed something this wholesome for the end of 2024 with the America being on fire. Characters are as deep as a Hallmark movie character but still heart warming. I don't actually agree with the ending, but like Hallmark movies: it ain't that deep. So I'm not combing this one with a fine nickpik comb. No REAL deep character drama between love interests, which I actually appreciate because there's too many stories of toxic relationships and I'm supposed to CHEER that hot mess on. Nope. I like a nice cutesy love story. Male lead ISNT a complete trash human and just a Dad. We need more Daddies like this. Very cute. Female lead ISNT a sassy boss girl who needs others to bow to her. She's a very cool, workaholic, and sweet family girl. Love that for her.
1,5⭐️ for the dog 🐶 I mean. I’m sorry it is cute and all Christmassy, but as it is shot it is flat in characters and predictable. Not a bad thing for what it is trying to be tho. If you just don’t think about it that much. But I think i had enough of those cookies of hers and Christmas sprinkles for some time now. But honestly I didn’t find any Christmas romance that I really like yet sooo... maybe its just not for me. This is cheesy but not over the top at least. .
Big city girl goes back home to her small town to help in her grandmother’s bakery. She had intended to go back to the city after Christmas until she falls for the small town single dad. Add in a cookie stealing dog, an adorable little girl, a cow with stage fright, and a whole lot of Christmas magic this is one of the cutest Christmas books I’ve ever read. It’s a hallmark movie in a book absolutely perfect for the holiday season.
“A Sprinkle of Christmas Magic” by Laura Abbott is the perfect dose of holiday cheer wrapped in a sweet small-town romance. Skylar’s journey from big-city career ambitions to rediscovering the magic of her family bakery in Silver Creek Crossing was heartwarming, especially with Landon and his adorable daughter Emma stealing the show. Listening to the audiobook felt like being wrapped in a cozy blanket with all the holiday feels, and the chemistry between Skylar and Landon had me smiling the whole way through.
I was genuinely surprised this book doesn’t have a higher rating—it was such a delightful listen! The small-town charm, festive setting, and Emma’s endearing matchmaking antics made it so much more than just another holiday romance. Skylar’s struggle to balance her career dreams with the unexpected pull of family and love felt relatable and real, giving the story just the right amount of depth.
If you’re a fan of Hallmark Christmas movies, this book is basically that in audiobook form—sweet, quick, and guaranteed to warm your heart. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a light, feel-good story to get into the holiday spirit.
P.S. I ended up finding this AudioBook on YouTube through the Author’s Page.
⭐ - The writing style didn’t appeal to me. The characters didn’t resonate with me. I pushed myself to the limit to avoid DNF’ing. I wouldn’t suggest this book to anyone I’m acquainted with.
⭐⭐ - The book was passable, but it won’t stick in my mind. Although I didn’t abandon the book, my mind wasn’t fully immersed in the story. I discovered that it was easy for me to stop reading it and not feel compelled to continue promptly. When everything was said and done, I was unsure of my immediate opinion on this book.
⭐⭐⭐ - If someone is actively seeking a book in this general premise, I would suggest this. While it was good, I don’t think I’ll ever pick up this book for a second read. If it were part of a series, I’d probably venture into the next book. Reading it was time well-spent.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ - This book was brilliant. I had the urge to keep reading and turn to the next page. The book stayed on my mind for days after I finished it. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I was actively engaged in wanting to finish reading this book. My thoughts are consumed by this book after completing it. I want to have a physical copy as a trophy that I can display on my shelf. I felt a strong connection and investment while reading this book, would definitely recommend.
