For half her life, Blaire trained in the First Grand Temple of Myra, the first and only goddess in Ehlnia, to become Myra’s divine vessel for reincarnation. She studied endlessly, learning of every kingdom in Ehlnia and finally, they began the Book of Abbadon.
Once she’s learned significant truths about Abbadon’s early life, she finds her thoughts disrupted by years of false testimony about his way of life and past transgressions.
Abbadon, condemned by the gods Cassius, Raeus, and Myra to a cycle of reincarnation for a crime he didn't commit, struggles with his immense power and a punishment that keeps him bound to depravity. Despite being revered as wicked by all kingdoms, a vision reveals his innocence.
Blaire is whisked away by Abbadon, shortly after being marked by Ehlnia’s Light. As Blaire learns to trust Abbadon, she realizes their meeting is more than fate—it would become a beacon of hope and change. Blaire must help Abbadon confront the truth of his existence and the forces that seek to control him.
"Book of Abbadon" is a tale of forbidden passion, divine duty, and love's transformative power, exploring the mortal spirit's resilience and the boundless possibilities when counterparts unite.
Salvadora Rose does an excellent job in world building and has truly mastered the art of slow burn in Book of Abbadon. I’m fairly new to fantasy yet this book was easy for me to read and comprehend thanks to the author’s elaborate detail and description.
I did feel as though I was left with more questions than answers and am not a fan of cliffhanger or open endings (which is partly why I didn’t give 5 stars). There were some other technical aspects and dialogue that I wasn’t very fond of, but I don’t want to leave any spoilers. That said, the book was well written and the stage well set for the next book in the series.
Overall, I would recommend this book for romantacy readers or readers who are new to fantasy. Book of Abbadon is a page turner and is sure to keep your attention. I purchased a physical copy and would read it again. I can’t wait for Book of Cassius!
I thought Book of Abbadon was beautifully written, with rich, immersive prose that pulled me in from the very first page. Salvadora Rose crafts a dark and enchanting world, blending romance and fantasy in a way that feels both haunting and captivating. The slow-burn romance was particularly well done, allowing the tension and emotions to build naturally throughout the story.
Abbadon and Blaire are complex and compelling, making every interaction feel meaningful. If you enjoy dark romantasy with lush writing and a gripping, slow-burn love story, this book is definitely worth reading!
I love being transported into a world, and this book does just that. Not getting any spoilers here! But if you’ve been looking for a romance that’s going to excite you, you’ve found it!
This book has vibes for daaaaaaaays. The YEARNING, the tension between dark and light, immortal and mortal...::chef's kiss:: The only reason I'm giving it four stars is that it does have (in my opinion) some issues with pacing and dialogue, but it's still an intense and rewarding read!
