Faye’s New Year’s

1. Eat a piece of fruit

2. Exercise more

3. Reduce stress

4. Annul accidental marriage to Sam Dogg

When I woke on New Year’s Day married to Sam Dogg—my friend, boss and lead guitarist of The Wild Ones—I did what I do best, I made a list and took control of the situation.

The solution? Stay married until the end of the band's world tour, then quietly get an annulment.

Simple, professional, perfectly planned.

Except Sam's not exactly cooperating… and neither is my heart.

This was very cute. I love much their personalities were showcased throughout the book. Faye’s chapters started with a thorough status update (to-do lists, check-ins, notes etc), and Sam’s all started with song lyrics. I will be honest: I mainly did skip over the lyrics that were in this; I just struggle with songs in books; I find them a bit cringe.

This whole thing was very cute, though. I loved how they started and grew together rather than changing to fit each other. Some of the drama felt a bit underdone . But mostly, this was fantastic.

New Year’s Faye is such a sweet and cozy read! It’s light, fun, and full of charm — the perfect story to start the year with a little romance and laughter. Faye is easy to like right away; she’s relatable, funny, and just a little messy in the best way, which makes her feel real.
The romance in this one is playful and heartwarming. The chemistry between Faye and the love interest is instant but believable, with lots of flirty moments, laughs, and small gestures that make their connection feel genuine. The story moves quickly, but it never feels rushed — you still get all the sweet, tender moments that make the romance satisfying.
What makes it really enjoyable is the vibe. It’s optimistic, cozy, and full of the energy of new beginnings, self-discovery, and unexpected love. It’s the kind of story that leaves you smiling, feeling light, and a little hopeful about love and life.
Overall, New Year’s Faye is a fun, feel-good romance that’s easy to read, full of charm, and perfect for a quick, uplifting escape

4.25 🌟 this was GOOD!
I loved these characters.

I did have high expectations, coming from a random search of books about NY for the time between Christmas and NYE. I was pleasantly proved wrong.

I will for sure pick up this author again!

Another cutesy romance from Evie Mitchell. This time between a music star and his band manager who has been his best friend since high school. There wasn't enough back story to add up to insta love, but I enjoyed it anyway.

I've read quite a few of evie Mitchell's work and I love all of them. No matter which series you read, they all are connected to one small town and are all about the women and men in the small town finding love.

A low angst story of friends and colleagues who have secretly been in love with each other for ever.

This was super cute.

Ok this one? THIS ONE?! All the good feels and all the great parts that a book should have! There was tension and drama and good resolution and really good character development. Faye and Sam were amazing as characters and I loved that Faye showed how scared she was about something because of her past and Sam and her family helping her through it all. This was a great story. Better than the first couple I read that seemed a little too shallow for my tastes. Though I would have LOVED to see what would have happened to both Alex and Amy. Great story though.
