Will getting snowed in with a Norse goddess lead to love?
Skadi loves nothing more than living a quiet life on her mountain, doing all the things a normal goddess of the hunt and snow would do. Until her peace is interrupted.
Erik never planned on getting trapped on a mountain, but when he gets stuck on his way back to his hometown, he finds himself seeking shelter with the most enchanting woman he's ever met.
With the storm worsening, and no way off the mountain, the two of them are trapped in Skadi's cabin until it clears.
Could that lead to something neither of them expected to find amidst the snow?

I was in the mood for a comforting read that I knew I would enjoy when I picked this one up. While I didn't enjoy it as much as some of the previous stories, I still had fun reading this one. It was a fun romantic story about musician Eric who meets snow goddess Skadi and they get snowed in together.
I liked Eric and Skadi together. I thought their romance did develop quite quickly which made it harder for me to fully get invested in their romance. I liked the glimpses we got of both their personalities and lives. There are some fun mentions of mythology about Skadi which was interesting as I hardly know anything about mythology. I also liked how Eric's love for music was obvious. And it was a fun how they didn't immediately realize who the other is when they first meet.
The snowed in together trope isn't my favorite, but it made for a good opportunity for them to get to know each other better. Especially as Skadi is quite opposed to the idea of romance at first. There is some steam later in the book. I liked how it is low on drama and how their romance got resolved.
To summarize: I enjoy this series and these are easy and fun romantic reads. While I didn't enjoy this one as much as some of the earlier stories, I still had fun reading it. Eric and Skadi were interesting characters and I liked reading about them. They get snowed in together and grow closer, not my favorite trope and the romance did develop a bit quickly for my taste. There are some mentions of mythology that were interesting.

He’s a Rock Star; she’s a Goddess Our couple was fated to meet when Erik accompanies his friend to a Jinx event being held at one of Skadi’s mountain lodges. Without so much as a formal introduction, these two begin a playful banter composed mainly of dancing around their identities. It’s really quite amusing… Will this delectable duo make heavenly music together or will their mutual attraction fall flat?
Some sage advice from the author: When choosing whether or not to date someone, it’s important to establish up front whether one is a sock or a slipper person. Skadi is all about Team Socks, yet Erik’s mum’s Team Slippers. Personally, I’m Team Indoor Shoes & Sandals. Even though it’s mid-May, my feet are shod since they are naturally freezing - I’d never be able to spend the night in Skadi’s lodge! Though a steam sauna sounds good right about now😉
Skadi’s forté is certainly related to the proverbial way to a man’s heart. While waiting out the storm together, Erik sings for his supper of homemade potato gratin & glögg then a grilled cheese for breakfast (boy, did he score!). I’m soooo going to search for Skadi’s cabin during a snowstorm and “get lost” just to have her cook for me.
Readers get treated to a semi-encore with the next-in-series: ‘One Night With Chiguo’. Erik’s quick studio collaboration with Mimi puts love’s song in her heart and she’s “ready to rock & roll”!
If you’re looking for a cozy, fun, and utterly enchanting read, then "Dating A Snow Goddess" by Laura Greenwood is your next must-read. As the fourth book in the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series, it delivers exactly what you’d expect from Greenwood: a delightful romantic escape with a happily ever after (HEA) that leaves you smiling.
Meet Eric, the world-famous musician who could probably melt the coldest of hearts with his music alone. And then there’s Skadi, our mesmerizing snow goddess, who’s got a bit more chill than your average gal. When these two get snowed in together, unaware of each other’s true identities, sparks fly—quite literally, I might add.
The characters are charming and relatable, with a story line that’s easy to get lost in. It’s the perfect blend of romance and paranormal elements, wrapped up in Greenwood’s signature witty and engaging writing style. Eric and Skadi’s chemistry is off the charts, making their journey from strangers to lovers a joy to read.
"Dating A Snow Goddess" is like a warm blanket on a cold day—comforting, delightful, and exactly what you need when you’re in the mood for a heartwarming romance. So, if you’re up for a fun, relaxed, and refreshingly magical love story, don’t hesitate to dive into this gem. You won’t regret it!
The Jinx dating agency returns in a sweet romance between Skadi and Erik. Skadi is a frost giant and the Norse goddess of snow, skiing, and bow hunting. Erik is an alv (Norse elf) and musician. Meeting at a Jinx event at Skadi’s resort, neither are looking for romance. But when Erik gets stranded during a snowstorm, and Skadi invites him to stay with her, things might just change.
This series is based on the premise that all the gods of all the pantheons across cultures interact with each other. In modern times, the gods are no longer as revered and less likely to meddle in the lives of mortals. Mixing mythology with romance tropes, Laura Greenwood creates entertaining stories with a touch of spice. This is a quick read told from the alternating viewpoints of the main characters. While there is crossover of characters from other books in the series, the story can be enjoyed as a standalone.

This was a fun, relaxed, refreshing and enchanting story. As part of Jinx, I was surprised and tickled, when neither of the MCs were interested in dating. They were both at the event "for a friend". Skadi had a history of a disasterous (to her) marriage and was sworn off relationships. For his part, Erik's career wasnt exactly conductive to fostering long term commitment either. Laura did a phenomenaljob providing readers with background and personality for both characters, allowing us to really get to know and understand them and their reasoning.
The storyline was creative, and the setting , as described, seemed steeped in charm, wonder and magic. I absolutely adore Escaping into Laura's worlds where there's a freedom and carefree spirit that seems to permeate beyond the story itself. I am grateful to have been gifted a copy of this book and volunteered my review. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
Snowed In With Skadi brings to life the jotunn turned goddess of the titular name and gives her a second chance away from youth and its brash choices.
Compared to a few other books in the series, this one is a actually really mild and should be a 2 star but the character's whole introverted yet headstrong, single until I die and yet overall kindness makes her a very relatable character. Erik is a bit more of a bland gingerbread whose responses are just humorous shots that also ease the scab open and thus the wounded heart.
And the story lacks the adventure and zest of more active plots as you are only going to get the summary of a conversation plus a few days together of cabin fever to make a relationship that lasts a lifetime.
It was cute but very vanilla and may make for a better read when you know a distraction won't end your reading career.

This was the second book from the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series that I have read and I enjoyed it as much as my last which was Dating A Music God and was about the Idol Mimi that was briefly in this book. I enjoyed both Skadi and Erik's characters and seeing how the two of them bonded over the couple days they were snowed in together. The epilogue at the end was cute and I look forward to reading more from this series in the future.

"... the idea of actually getting caught up in a conversation I was enjoying had scared me a little bit."
A wingman, and a friend of the hostess strike up a conversation at a singles mix and mingle event, neither looking to meet someone, yet somehow they both feel the comfortable nature of the conversation, the fun spark of their interaction, and find themselves wondering if maybe they should have come as actual guests instead of just friends.
This done in one story sparks a bit of self reflection as the characters find themselves looking at how they live, and considering if it is how they want to continue living -- or if maybe it is time to make a place in their life for someone who is a natural fit by their side.
I read Dating A Snow Goddess in Kobo Plus and chose to share my thoughts.
Our heroine likes her solitude, so she is not sure what you make of our hero when he is forced to take shelter with her. For his part, our hero knows he wants to learn more about this goddess.
This is book four of the series, but it is written as a standalone.
The story is a paranormal romance with a dating agency as the driver. The story is well written and easy to read with a couple of fun characters as our leads. I rather enjoyed mixing the mythologies together and exploring the results. And the charming HEA doesn't hurt one bit. Overall, this story was rather light and entertaining, which was perfect for a relaxing read. I look forward to visiting again in the future.
Highly recommended.

A sweet romance mixing gods and mythology from round the world along with the idea of ancient gods and deities using apps in the modern world. The story is lighthearted with plenty of humor, and there are some fun steamy scenes between the main characters.
After attending a dating agency party to keep a friend happy, Skadi goes back to her mountain home. She'd had a brief chat with a musician, Erik, but hadn't expected to see him again. When a snow storm hits she finds him on her doorstep needing shelter and invites him in, and with the storm getting worse they have plenty of time to get to know each other better.

Skadi is a jotunn or frost giant who became a goddess of the snow, etc. Lofn is the goddess of forbidden marriage and she talks Skadi into using her resort for a Jinx mixer event. Erik came as wingman for his buddy, Donel. Erik meets Skadi and they talk, and he doesn't realize who she is. Wanting to go check on his grandfather, he leaves the party early as does Skadi. A storm hits and his car breaks down so he ends up staying at Skadi's. Things happen as they are drawn to each other and he is a musician. The book has a cute and steamy storyline and I really enjoyed it. We also get a peak at Mimi.

Another Jinx Success Story. I like the definitions at the beginning. A Snow Norse goddess Skadi is a frost giant (jötunn) who has magic over skiing, winter, mountains. and bow hunting who happens to attend a Jinx mixer and meets celebrity musician Erik Nilsen, an alv (Scandinavian elf) only she has never seen what Erik looks like. It’s a sweet romance with some spicy scenes and instant attraction. The fact they part ways leaves an ache with both characters and reader but there is a happy ending. Love this Jinx Dating Agency series with book 4 as another success for finding love.

A stand-alone in the Jinx paranormal dating agency series, this is the story of Skadi and Erik. Skadi is a Norse goddess of the snow among other things and Erik is an international rockstar. What’s most amusing to me about this story is they both mistake who the other is when they meet. And both have a pleasant surprise when they figure out who the other is. A sweet story with a decent bit of heat in it. I enjoyed the reluctant to fall in love goddess falling for the love song writing rockstar.

Skadi, a snow goddess, is hosting a Jynx mixer at one of her cabins. She only attends the party because of her friendship with the Jynx organizer because she doesn't like mingling with people. Erik Nilsen is at the party as his friend's wingman. As a mega singing star, it's hard to get alone time but the beautiful blonde makes him want company. Their time at the party leaves them both wanting more.
This is a sweet romance with some steam. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.
This is book 4 in Greenwood's Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency and a delightfully fun read. I am loving this series and the concept of gods and goddesses getting involved in a dating agency. Our main characters are Erik and Skadi who find themselves at a mixer for this agency to support their mutual friends. After being snowed in - the protective walls they've build slowly thaw. A sweet and short read that is sure to warm your heart!

The Norse goddess Skadi normally has no desire to date but decides to attend the Jinx Dating Agency mixer for a brief moment before going home. When a storm approaches, she sees that Erik is in need of taking shelter and offers him to wait it out with her. This sets the course for their relationship to blossom. Short but sweet, the story was filled with some interesting facts about Norse mythology but also had a fun romance plot between Erik and Skadi which was enjoyable.

Dating A Snow Goddess (Book 4 of Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency) by Laura Greenwood is a paranormal romance series novel. This book is just fun. I know that sounds like an odd way to describe it but I read a lot of dark romance and I enjoy reading everything. So I love to jump into these books. Skadi and Erik are the two lucky mates this go around. As usual they are quite unusual but Laura Greenwood describes them perfectly. There is an incoming snowstorm so they might have a little bonding time. Such a good read as usual. I definitely have Laura Greenwood as a go to author!
Jinx Dating Agency is at it again! This is sweet romance between Skadi and Erik. Skadi is a Norse goddess of skiing, winter, mountains and bow hunting. Erik is an Alv a Norse elf and musician. They meet at a Jinx mixer and chat for a while and both leave to go home. Erik's car breaks down during a snowstorm and Skadi rescues him and brings him to her cabin where things heat up. I love these fun, lovely short but sweet and spicy Jinx Dating party matches!.

She is the goddess of snow but even she got surprised by this most recent storm and in more than one way. He is an internationally known singer of love songs but hadn't found love for himself. Read to find out what happens when these two get snowed in together and discover that they might have more in common than they first thought. I like these Jinx Dating novellas because it is fun to read about these different paranormals looking for love.

Loved the characters of Erik, the half elf and Skadi, the goddess of all things snowy. They meet at her friend's single's mixer and then Erik gets snowbound at her cabin. So fun to see how they learned about what each other is and the feelings they start to have. Totally enjoyed the interactions, the vivid details of the locales and the easy going romance that develops. A hit with me.

Lofn booked a Jinx event at Skadi's resort in the mountains and asked Skadi to attend. At the event, Skadi meets Erik. They have a drink together, enjoying talking to each other. Erik gets stuck in the snow on the way down the mountain and ends up staying in Skadi's cabin for a couple of days. This quick read is romantic and steamy, ending in what looks like a HEA. Very highly recommended.

Skadi is a Goddess and Erik is a Norse elf/musician. Neither were looking for love but destiny had something else planned for them. He gets stranded on the mountain during a snowstorm and she invites him to her cabin on the mountain and things take a sweet instalove turn. This paranormal romance and a great addition to the Jinx Paranormal Dating Agency series. The writing is well done, the characters are well developed, and the ending is great. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
Eric and Skadi are both invited to a dating party. They meet, have a conversation and leave only to be stuck with each other when the snowstorm hits. This was a cute story about a musician and a goddess. Both are supernaturals and don’t know each other. This is a feel good, get to know you story with maybe a bit of fate thrown in.
