The Hunt
A girl’s trip gone wrong…
All Kaliah Williams wanted was to enjoy a fun vacation with her girls. But it soon becomes clear her travel companions aren’t the friends she believed them to be. Things go from bad to worse when a series of setbacks leads them to a detour in a town called Serenity Falls. Cliffhanger
I loved the book until the ending. I hate abrupt endings.
However, the storytelling is on point. The world building is a little shaky. However, the issue between the Black Brothers and certain leaders in the town its intriguing. I'm looking forward to finding out more.
The heat between the main characters is hot. I'm curious about the dynamics. Colton seems to be the level headed one but Zeke seems to be the intriguing type to me. Leland is Leland. I hope to see more of Breanna's strength in the followup.

Very good start to a monster romance series. Looking forward to the next book in the series and how Smauggy Verse and Eve brings it all together.
Kaliah funds herself stranded in a small time with her frienemies. This Town is not on the radar, unfortunate she’sfinds herself with more enemies, but they are so much more than that. Three sexy as heck monster brothers that only want to mate with her. They definitely want more than just friendship, they must participate in a Rabbit Hunt, a survival of the fittest, kill or be killed situation to find their mate and mark her. Let the Hunting begin.

When Kaliah Williams and her “friends” go on a vacation for Halloween, the women get lost and stumped upon Serenity Falls where not everything is what it seems.
This was my first time reading anything by Eve Vaughn who was recommended by Smauggy as this is part of a series both are writing and I was not disappointed.
I loved her style of writing and how world came together. Drew me in and left me wanting more! That cliffhanger though but I’m glad and I’ll definitely will be checking it her other works 😁

nice opening to a series
A good start to a new series. I was glad the heroine found her voice with her friends. I am over the woe is me trope for black women. I look forward seeing how the author builds this world. There are some editing and proofreading that is needed but didn’t detract from the story.

I haven't read this genre in a while
I haven't read this genre in a while, and I'm glad I love this author, so it was an easy choice. However, this story is good. I don't make a habit anymore of starting a series that all the aren't available, but I hope the other books are on the way. Excellent

Perfect Halloween read
Loved everything about about this book! This is a perfect Halloween read. Definitely some suspense and a little terror but not too much. And of course there is some heat! I can’t wait to read more about these brothers, Kaliah, and the rest of Serenity Falls!

Wait...What?!
Eve Vaughn did not disappoint with this story! I was so not expecting it to end in a cliff hanger. This is a great story with a great group of characters. Definitely a must read. I will anxiously await the next installment.

This was sooooo good. Damn, I loved every single character. Eve Vaughn managed to pack a lot into 96 pages, horror, erotica, thriller and I can't wait to read this entire series because the ending had me screaming. *Applause, applause applause.

March 16, 2025I didn’t enjoy this one. I thought it was pure horror, but turns out it’s a pnr. Even so, I didn’t like it. It took too long for the main characters to meet, and then everything just happened in a rush. The non consent was so ugh. I didn’t like it at all.

I couldn't get past the middle. I'm not interested in monsters or zombie beasts. I was looking for a horror/thriller. DNF'ED at 44%
