I AM OFFICIALLY OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES!

For the last three or so months I have dedicated an exhaustive amount of energy to waiting for this book, and now I can finally say that it was worth the wait. WORTH THE WAIT!!

I was constantly trying to predict what would happen next, and constantly wrong in the best way! I really liked the perspective changes and there was a wonderful amount of "fragments." Romance was a little more prevalent in this series installment, and I liked it! This series has the best, most compelling romance tangle I've ever read! This series continues to have one of my favorite magic systems ever--stars, it is SO cool! And dragon bonds are the most amazing they've been yet! There are more tender human and dragon moments, and more awesome moments than ever before! And the threat of the Gray Ones is . . . well . . . genius. It's one of the most well written evils I can think of. Another thing in this series favor is that while you collect a lot of questions, you do get the answers and usually get them straight, even if you have to wait for them. And I've gotta throw in here that I love the concept of ethereal auras!

I love the characters of this series so much! Asher is still one of my favorite characters ever, and when joined by other favorites such as Solrac, Meleya, Brigan, Kai, Solvai, and my new second favorite Glint, reading this book feels like visiting friends!

I thought for sure I knew what the cliffhanger ending was going to be. HA! I was so wrong! I NEVER predicted that! which makes me even more excited for the next book! AH! I can't wait!

--

More thoughts a few months later because I still can't stop talking about this book!

This book has overthrown my longstanding favorite books system of "all favorite books are all my favorite book" with Elantris as chairman and unofficial favorite, and erected itself as my undeniable favorite book! How else do you describe a book with a world, magic, plot, and characters of which I just can't get enough?

I reserve a special level of hatred for super-awful-evil-Ihateyousomuch-DIEyoupieceofvillianousfilth! characters such as Moash from The Stormlight Archive, and now

Romance wise,

SOMEONE PLEASE DISCUSS THIS BOOK WITH ME!!!!!

If the 4th book that comes out later this year is half as good as the first 3, this series will officially be my new favorite series.

For reference, some of my previous favorites have been: The Stormlight Archive, Ranger's Apprentice, and The Inheritance Cycle.

I was given a free advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review.

I found the skystone chronicles earlier this year and immediately fell in love with the story. I was immediately pulled in by Asher and Kai in book 1 and grew to love Meleya and her friends in book 2 and book 3 brings them together in the most fantastic way.

It is charming and funny and will have you on the edge of your seat throughout, as the story twists and turns. I enjoyed the book so much and highly recommend it.

This has been an amazing series and this book is no different. The authors weave so many story lines together so seamlessly, the characters are genuinely well developed and there is enough time to get to know them despite the fast paced action and plot lines.

I cannot wait for the next installment

This book gave me Dragonbumps!

Don't worry. While this is contagious (you just have to read the book), it's not serious!
Book 3 picks up right where book 2 left our brave party. They then continue on their mission. Since I don't want to spoil it, I can't go into details.
This series makes for fantastic reading for Young Adults (all the "swear words" are made up and the violence is rated PG at most). Note, that
this series is ALSO for us "middle school hoodlums" who refused to grow up!

The world is richly developed. The characters are fun. The action scenes will keep you up late at night reading.

I wholeheartedly recommend this series!!!

Blake and Raven Penn have accomplished another amazing installment in the Skystone Chronicles. Book 3 dives deeper into the world of Evguard and the hearts of Asher and other complex characters. I highly recommend this book.

Addicting from start to finish! The characters, the setting, the story—Dragon Hunter is just as unique and mind blowing as the rest of the series (if not more so)!

I NEED BOOK 4 ASAP!!!!

This book is so incredibly done with so many twists and turns that kept me on my toes.

The female characters in this book are icons and I basically need to base my entire personality off of them now. I need to be a rifter so I can have my own snack cupboard on demand (IYKYK).

The love triangles and side plots hit new levels of intensity, and I was completely drawn in as every detail began to fall into place. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together in the next book; the buildup has me so ready for what’s coming.

If you’re not reading this series yet, you’re missing out. And if you are…here’s to counting down the days until Book 4 together!!

I received an arc of this book in exchange for my opinion. I loved this book! I have not read book 1 or 2 in the series but this book was so well written that I was able to understand what was going on regardless. This book makes me want to go back and read them to see what all I missed. I loved the multiple POVs bc it really helps you understand what is going on all around you. Great adventure. Great story telling. And hello, Dragons!

I was given an ARC for this book.

I've been a fan since the first book and I have to say that this addition to the series exceeded my expectations. Maybe spoilers? I don't know.

Asher quickly became one of my favorite characters in all of fantasy in the first book, and his character grew so much there. The growth continues in this book alongside the rest of his friends. He has his highs and lows throughout the story, but continues to be his plucky (often arrogant) self when confronted with the problems facing the realm. His growth really shows in his moments of vulnerability, either when he's alone with his thoughts, spending time with Thorn, or his time alone with a certain female character. At the end of it all, he continues to be a favorite of mine.

Meleya is another wonderfully written character, kind of the antithesis of Asher. She continues to struggle with her wraith as she embarks on a journey with her friends at the Mage Hunter Academy. She has a lot of growth as well, but unlike Asher, Meleya doesn't cope well with her struggles at first, and continues to push away the ones she loves, to try and protect them. Her wraith is an interesting part of who she is and this book expounds upon that even more as Meleya relies more and more on herself and her own strength to fight back against the wraith. I've grown to appreciate her as a character more in this book and feel a sort of kinship with her as we all struggle with our own "wraiths" on a daily basis, and I can't wait to see her growth continue.

This book has heart and soul. Humor ('Fragment: Noted' is one of the funniest chapters I've ever read in a book) and despair. I felt so many emotions on this rollercoaster of a story, and when I was nearly done, I realized, this isn't the last book like we were told before! I'm so excited for the story to continue, and hope that so many others will find this wonderful series.

Amazing work Blake and Raven. Thank you for sharing your talent with the rest of the world and good luck in all your endeavors!

The perfect part III for this phenomenal series! I thought the authors wove together Asher and Meleya’s stories perfectly and cannot wait to see what happens next. Dragon Hunter was a wonderful complement to the first two books, bringing back everything I loved – an intriguing world and magic system, well-developed characters with meaningful relationships that I enjoy across the board, and an engaging plot that moves along quickly and keeps you wanting more.

This book, like the others, is well-written with a great sense of both humor and adventure. I absolutely love being able to share its awesomeness with my whole family, including my husband and dragon-loving 13-year-old. As fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Mistborn, and Eragon, these books really hit a sweet spot for us. When my son first read them, he was so into them that he texted our entire extended family the related “Magi Type Quiz”. (Wanting to know your grandma’s etherarchy type? Yes, please – anything that gets a fresh teenager willingly starting conversations about books with his family is a win in my book.)

That all being said, even if I didn’t have a kid that loved dragons, I would have still enjoyed these books because they are just truly that good. We have had so much fun reading this series together and cannot wait for more from these authors. Thank you so much!

I have to say, this is the best Indie series I have read in a very very long time. I really enjoy these books and even though I'm dying to know what happens, I never want the story to end.
I thought this one was it. I don't know why, but I had it in my head that the sky Stone Chronicles was a trilogy. it never occurred to me that it was still being developed and could keep going forever for all I know. I was crushed when I realized I wasn't going to be able to find out what happened at the end of this book, but at the same time I'm super excited to know that there's another book coming. Also, what an interesting little surprise about the authors in that author's note...

NOOOOO HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?

(That's how you know it was a GREAT book.) I'd almost forgotten the feeling of reading through the night, itching through the day to find out what happens next, as well as eagerly reading upside down on my couch.

The follow-up story that brings all our favorite characters together, they're brought to all-time highs and lows as their worlds collide in the best possible way. The stakes, action, comedy, and romance are cranked up to eleven, and I wholeheartedly give this book five stars!

I loved that I got to see the perspectives of almost all of the characters in this series! The plot is very interesting and I’m hooked! This cliff hanger is killing me and I can’t wait for book 4!

My only problem is that I think the main characters have all romantically liked each other at some point in the series and it’s this big love circle. Kinda confused about who likes who at this point. 🤷‍♀️

What a fantastic third installment! The biggest problem as series go forward is they can be repetitive. Not this series! If you are looking for a fast paced fantasy with interesting magic system, unique in world vernacular (DRAK!) and real character growth, look no further! You will laugh, you will ache, you may even cry. What a fun read!

The characters are still enjoyable to see develop. Asher is still fun as ever and Maleya I have grown to love. Still so many love/previous love relationships to juggle which may had been a bit much, but didn't detract from the story. Still a fun teenager read.
