Lovely, funny book about leaving (American) home and exploring Europe as a high school student. IK never really came home again, and later became an enthusiastic expat living in London and France. She's hilariously hard on her young, silly self making that first journey of discovery.

Good book but too long and too diffuse, and I couldn't finish it in the end. No point, no narrative momentum, just travel anecdotes that kind of went nowhere. I may pick it up again someday, but had to give it up for now. . . .

It was Ok...A bit bland in places and didn't like how she put down her younger self. Voice was a little bitter and the journey of her travels didn't flow, it felt clunky.
