When Mila Foster stumbles across the opportunity to become an alpha wolf’s mate, she doesn’t think twice about casting aside her lackluster life among humans.
He wanted a mate...
His whole life, Asch has been denying himself a mate and a family. Now that his pack is stable and his territory is secure, he’s ready to stake his claim on Mila—even if it means he’ll have to fight his closest friend for the privilege of her fertile body.
He had no interest in human females...
Caim prefers the lean, taut females of his own kind—women who can handle the aggressive mating he enjoys. He has no desire for delicate human women with soft, curvaceous bodies—or so he thinks.
Claimed by the Alphas is the story of Mila Foster and her efforts to hold her new pack together by accepting the claim of both of its alphas. It contains sexual themes, ménage romance, and takes place beyond the confines of human society. It is not intended for readers under the age of eighteen.
Got part 1 as a freebie and enjoyed it so much I had to go out and buy the box set.
In a nut shell this town offered a human female to mate with the alpha for protection against the other werewolves that are attacking and killing people. Mila volunteers and gets more than she bargined for... At first its fine she is attracted to Asch and assumes he's the alpha but soon finds out this pack is unique because they have two Alphas. Caim and Asch share the Alpha title and responsibilities. However when she becomes fertile and thrall, mating heat, is upon them they will have to fight to the death for her. How to avoid that you say? Well convince them both to share her and not kill each other. That is easier said than done but what a fun adventure it was to read. Caim you want to smack so many times but he will grow on you. Maybe.
Not much to say. Lots of OW drama. H is surrounded by both of her H's ex fuck buddies. One H tries to have sex with one(OW) after being with the h and possessive. She said no and he admits later to himself he would have done it. Saw more caring from him to that OW so they should have ended up together. He never says he cares for the h and the other H seemed like a place filler. He was easy and sweet with not much character development mostly the story revolved around the h and the asshole wannabe cheater H.
Overall the storyline was full of plot lines not fully developed because the book kept going back to sex or OW drama.
If you like over the top angst and a asshole H this is a good book for you.
I thought this book was a pretty good read but not great. I liked the female character Mila although I would have liked her to have a little more confidence in herself. I don't really like when the woman character keeps comparing herself to all the other females. I really liked Asch he was sweet and caring towards Mila at all times even when he was upset with her. I just don't think that he and Mila had enough scenes together to really form the connection between the two like with Mila and Caim. Now on to Caim he was not interested in Mila at all in the beginning. He didn't want her around and he felt that her being there was going to ruin everything they have worked to build as a pack. Caim soon changed his lookout on the whole claiming Mila as his mate once he was with her in a sexual manor. He was ready and willing to fight his best friend and second Alpha to his pack Asch for her.
As the story continues you start to see how much Caim is changing in subtle ways for Mila. He is more possessive of her, He becomes jealous of the interaction between Asch and MIla, and he wants her all to himself. Caim tries to be what Mila needs and he gets frustrated that every time he screws up Asch is always there to make things right for MIla before he gets the chance. Eventually they work it out between themselves and come up with a way to make everyone happy. I really enjoyed the ending and I think the Author Viola Rivard did a fantastic job. I really enjoyed the way the ending came together and especially the responses that came from Caim.
Now there are a few things that really bugged me during the story and some may find that it's really not that big of deal but it stayed with me through the whole story. I was kept waiting for the author to address certain things that I felt were important to ME but she never did. - First I really had an issue with Lotus. The way she was always above Mila and the way she didn't have any issues making it known that she would always be above her. - I didn't like the way Caim never at any point made it clear to Lotus or Sable that Mila was the most important to him. Even though Sable seemed to understand and deal better than Lotus. She even explained at one point to Caim that Lotus had always been his favorite no matter what and she didn't know how to not be his favorite. At that point I felt was a time for the Author to have Caim address the situation with Lotus but that never came. - This issue really wasn't that big of a deal because it was showed through his actions and thoughts but I would have liked to see Caim eventually tell Mila that he loved her.
All in all a good werewolf story not the best I've read but not the worst. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys werewolf stories. It's low on the Angst and pretty straight to the point kind of story.
Claimed By The Alphas is a sexy shifter serial about a human girl and her journey into the world of shifters. We follow Mila as she makes a life altering decision that’ll lead her to two alpha werewolves that will rock her world in more ways then one. As the story is told through multiple POVs, we get to different events through the perspective of all 3 main characters, which I loved! I love it when an author provides more than one POV because it lets us get to know the characters in a more intimate level and this author had a great way of establishing each character’s voice and distinct tone. I enjoyed getting to know the main characters and the side characters as well. Each had their own quirks and personalities that jumped off the pages. And lets not even get started on the sexiness in this book! These two alphas are HOT!! They are definitely alpha in every sense of the word... if you catch my drift ;-). Mila sure is one lucky ass girl. She takes the chance to become the mate of an alpha without thinking twice, but will she be able to handle the pressure and expectations that come with be a mate of not only one but two alpha werewolves?
"Some women searched their whole lives for a white knight or a dark prince, while Mila now had both." -Mila
Mila is a total girl. Used to being surrounded by expensive clothes, shoes, and various material things, living in a werewolf den where there’s nothing but wilderness around and things like bathrooms and electricity are nowhere to be found, totally came as a culture shock. She had to get adjusted to her new lifestyle pretty quick but she made a few friends along the way that helped her integrate into their world. Being a mate sure wasn’t what she had expected but was a role she had fantasized about from the time she was given her favorite book by Marie du Luponte at a young age. Reading about Marie’s time in a werewolf den as a mate, Mila glamorized the role by thinking it was all about being cherished by the alpha and adored by the pack. In reality, it wasn’t as luxurious. But the rewards were so damn worth it. I mean what girl in her right mind would give up the role of being mated to two sexy alphas?? Mila knew what the hell she was doing when she jumped like her ass was on fire at the chance to be a mate. The girl was smart.
"Caim was too hard and too sharp, too arrogant and too stubborn. For as much as she loved him, Caim was far from perfect, and maybe that was exactly why it was easier to love him." -Mila
Caim is more a wolf than human and prefers it that way. Totally despises anything human. He is 100% the definition of alpha; takes what he wants and always gets his way. He’s tough, mean, a jerk, a manwhore, and so damn dominant. Caim prefers isolation to companionship. Hardly interacting with his pack unless absolutely necessary or for his own needs. But that changes once he gets a taste of what Mila has to offer. For the first time, he starts having feelings he doesn't quite understand or knows how to handle. Mila is definitely not like his “favorites” but suddenly he can’t get enough of her. And damn if he doesn’t show her just how irresistible she is to him! He is so hot and possessive *swoon*
"Beyond his sculpted muscles, beautiful eyes, and the symmetry of his face, Asch was everything she could ask for in a partner. He was caring, empathetic, and fair, and she had yet to find any real flaws in him." -Mila
Asch, unlike Caim, likes both of his sides; the wolf and human. Growing up among humans before joining a pack, he got to experience growing up as a human child but also learned the dangers of caging his wolf. Instead of being feared by his pack, they look at him as a fair leader who interacts with them and delegates issues among them. He is charming, sweet, caring, and an all around great guy. He’s always longed for the day he would find his mate and once he meets Mila, he knows he finally has. She’s what he had been waiting. Asch never fails at showing her how he feels about her and how important she is to him. He is there for her emotionally and physically. And at both he is very thorough and attentive ;-). Simply put, the best of both worlds.
"Mila would never forget Marie du Luponte, her mate, Rein, and the incredible story of their lives together. But she didn’t need that story anymore. Her own life was infinitely more amazing." -Mila
Overall, Claimed by the Alphas is an entertaining and sexy shifter read that I would recommend to all paranormal lovers who enjoy some action with their sexy and some sweet with their spice. I loved that although its a serial and each part if read separately is short, there is still a full story being told. Not filled with pointless fillers and sex after each paragraph; I really appreciated that. I do feel though that the ending was a bit rushed and wish we would've gotten Asch's POV at the end. I won't spoil it by saying why but I would've loved to see what was on his mind at that time. I really can't wait for the Claimed novellas that are to come and read more about these 3!!
Other Favorite Quotes:
"The thought of another male giving her pleasure, even Asch, made him see red. Caim was perfectly capable of providing for a human all on his own. He would protect her and any pups that she bore him, and in time she would come to see that he was all that she needed." -Caim
"He couldn’t tell Caim how he longed for human companionship, someone who understood the human part of him but accepted the wolf in him too. It was what he had been searching for his entire life." -Asch
"They weren’t without there flaws, but neither was she. Mila was impulsive, indecisive, and commitment-phobic, but as she looked between both of the splendid males beside her, she realized that maybe that was exactly the kind of mate they needed.” -Mila
Overall: Mila volunteers to be claimed by an alpha wolf because secretly she has always dreamed about doing it and also she is saving another scared girl from having to do it. Asch and Caim are the Alphas of their pack and while Asch is ready to have a mate but Caim is not, that is until he sees and smells Mila. At first Mila is attracted to both men but favors Asch, but after she gets to know Caim better and they have sex, her feelings start to go down the middle. The book is about their lives together, trying to fit as a trio and make cubs. The story has love, drama, finding yourself and so much more.
My Pros & Cons: I really did enjoy the book, but at times I felt she spent more time with Caim than she did with Asch. I wish that we got more time with each guys equally. I personally didn't care for the ending because it felt like the story was just cut off when the good stuff started happening. I wish the author would've added more to the ending so that I didn't feel jipped.
I haven't read a paranormal in a while and was craving a good one and when I bought this series I was taken right away! it was exactly what I was looking for. I loved the characters and the story line, out of all shifter books, I think this one was unique. well I haven't read one like this anyway! I also enjoyed how Mila didnt have a happy and perfect process, that not realistic (yes I know its about werewolves) instead Mila has troubles and difficulties and new mother issues! I love the series, highly recommend

Remember I share how much I enjoyed a story with my reviews, and I tend to read what I know I will like otherwise what is the point. Everyone enjoys different things, so while I highly recommend this serial to my friends who love steamy wolfy ménage stories, I do so because I think everyone will find some enjoyment in this series who is a shifter fanatic such as myself :)
Part One
I picked up the boxed set yesterday as well as what is out of the Bound series (which I loved!!). I really liked the set up of Mila’s story in Part One. I really like Mila because she is strong and wants something more of her life, but also doesn’t want to be the cause of any problems. I love how she tries to start finding a solution immediately.
Part Two
Viola makes it easy to feel like you are there in the story rather than being disconnected. This part was much shorter, but it was awesome. It had the perfect amount of conflict, fighting, and then making up :) Of course you must love steamy scenes to enjoy these serials which I do :) I would probably be upset that it was over so soon except I have the entire serial, so I get to continue after I finish this review and take care of the kiddos :)
Part Three
This story I really liked it. Mila is learning how to manage the boys so to speak thanks to Lotus, but how long will it last. This story was mostly trio drama…lol and not much else. I can feel tension or something building though, and I can’t wait to read the next part where things sound like it might change yet again :)
Viola’s world is amazing and I want to learn more :) I still want to slap Caim on occasion, but he is definitely growing on me :)
Part Four
Okay loved this section of the story, and I think I would definitely be irritated if I was waiting for more of the story after the ending here, but luckily I have it all :)
Fantastic addition to the series and this part is on mating thrall. Some extra excitement mixed in with fights and danger. I of course couldn’t put it down and lucky me kids are in bed and I didn’t have to :) Do you hear that….beautiful silence :) I really like Mila and the boys ;)
Part Five
This part is probably my favorite so far. Tons of action and conflict, and Caim is getting better and better. I no longer want to slap him frequently :) I don’t want to give anything away, so I won’t ;)
Viola does an awesome job in her stories, and what I really love is she does an awesome job at wrapping up the end of each story where you know there is more, but things were accomplished and it is not like you run into a brick wall because you know the stop sign is coming. Very masterfully done :)
Part Six
Good conclusion to the story though not much action just drama and emotional outbursts….one of the reasons I’m glad it was Mila who was pregnant and not me…lol Caim has some issues because of his past which makes him seem more vulnerable and lovable.
Viola is one of my favorite authors. As a whole this series is awesome and I loved it, but some parts weren’t as exciting as others though always enjoyable.
I highly recommend this series in its entirety as a bundle to my shifter lovin’ friends.
This work is the complete edition of the six previously released serials. I read every single one of the books in the series and OMG they were all great. Ms. Rivard had me completely hooked after book 1. I waited patiently for the release of every single one of the books and pounced on them when they were released. The main characters are Mila, Asch and Caim. Not only has Mila had the fortune (or misfortune she feels at times) of finding one mate, but she ends up with two hot male alphas as her mate. This series takes us through the development of her relationship with each of the very different men, of dealing with the pack and the idea of becoming a parent. Everything i not an easy ride for the relationship between the three. Jealousy, conflict and strife are rampant throughout the novel. Mila must even deal with some postpartum depression. But the book is also about love, acceptance, the good things about becoming a parent. And to top it off there is some very hot steamy sex! I mean who could ask for more!
I would recommend having this as part of your collection to anyone who is a fan of paranormal romance and loves an HEA.
***Note I was provided a copy of the compilation edition in exchange for an honest review. I had however previously purchased volumes 2, 5 and 6 on my own.*****
I gave this a generous 4 stars because I struggled through this series at times and at times I could not stop. It was un-put-downable. I enjoyed most of the characters. It is amazing how the author made some of them seem depthless on the surface but complex at the same time, especially Caim. I read Bound to the Alpha right before this and was a little confused about Caim’s upbringing. Since that is the only other shifter novel I read from Viola Rivard I am not sure if there is a story for Caim that explains how Sarah died and his younger life. I will look into it. If not, I would love a story about Caim’s younger years.
Nonetheless, as I stated I struggled at times because I was thinking to myself enough of this back and forth, let’s get to the action. When the romance and other action scenes (there weren’t that many action scenes) I could not put the book down. So my only critique is that the novel was not very action packed. But on the romance side the sex scenes were racy and gave enough Intimacy with the characters that you became engrossed.
I will see what other books are available and purchase for my kindle.
I always love a good werewolf love story book. I had bought the audio of this book. I did find it interesting that the author did include 2 alphas of the same pack in this book. Though I normally prefer a female narrator, I do feel the narrator did an amazing job reading the book. Mila, who at a young age had a fascination with werewolves, now as a young adult did not hesitate to volunteer to be given to the Lazarus pack as a mate. Mila was not aware that the Lazarus pack was run by 2 Alpha who were named Asch and Tye . Tye and Asch were best friends and had been friends for a long time. Mila who did not know what she was getting into was supposed to choose which one to mate with. Both alphas would feel the need to mate with her when her body was ready. The alphas would fight to the death to have her. Would they come up with a solution that one of them would not have to die? Could 2 Alphas live together in harmony after this is all over? Would Mila ever be expected by the pack? Want to know the answer read the book and find out.
As a serial at the beginning the books were ok, often leaving off at weird places. At first they were interesting and a different take on the whole werewolf shifter thing. They live in dens with no running water, or electricity. This particular pack has 2 alpha's which isn't the norm. Eventually though the books back just ok. Firstly I hated hated how they would tell Mila basically "don't worry your pretty little head" about what was going on in the pack. Her only job basically was to get pregnant and it didn't seem that fulfilling. She always felt guilty about having to be "babysat" and not being able to contribute. I hated how they treated her like a little woman. Then moving on the characters were a little undeveloped. For all her love for the alphas she, totally didn't really know them. They barely shared their pasts with her and so there was no character growth in that department. Where the book ended was pretty lame, where's the resolution? What's going to happen as a whole. I expected more so this was just ok.
I just finished a fairly intense novel, so I was looking for something lighter and uber sexy. This series completely fit the bill. The action and plot were interesting and well done and I really like Rivard's writing style. I found the characters interesting and liked how their personalities and multiple relationships within the pack evolved and were shortly unveiled to the reader. The downside was I found it a bit predictable/repetitive or lagging at times, and I found myself skimming. Perhaps I wouldn't have felt the same if I had read it as intended rather than as a complete work, but it didn't measure up to Bound to the Alpha for me. However, the romance was intense and hot, so it tipped the scale to a 4 star book for me. I really enjoy this author, so I'll definitely continue following her.
Good writing style but not much on the intrigued. Too predictable and got boring in the end. Confusing too somewhat on how the lead female thought of hurting both males on how she was going to take the baby away. But then all of a sudden it wasn't mentioned again. The ending was a bit too fast after she had the baby. It would have helped having an epilogue to close out everything maybe to talk about how her life became after having a few children. It felt ike there really was no ending to the story. I gave this a 3 for good writing style. Not the type of book I would read again though.
I enjoyed this twist to the Shifter theme. How Mila came to be with Caim & Asch, the mating thrall, how they live, threats to them are all very different from the usual Shifter stories. The Alpha's are gorgeous, the hierarchy is there & of course they are wolves! That's where the similarities end. I loved it!!
Ms. Rivard has an interesting way of writing & we learn about how each main character is thinking. In the beginning I wasn't sure if I liked it, so I kept reading. Before I knew it I was finished. Nothing makes me happier than becoming so involved with a book.
I'm addicted to these books by Viola Rivard. I just can't go without the next part of the series. I have to say it gets better and better and there are differences between the books. That's nice, they don't share the same exact plot even though the stories are a bit similar. I loved this book, it was very well detailed and there was some awesome hot scenes that didn't leave me unaffected. ;) I truly recommend this for everybody who enjoys wolf stories. This isn't really your popular and common werewolf story, trust me.
this was a good box set if you like alphas. which their were 2. I would have liked more but the author didn't babble and stuck straight to the story. I didn't like the way Caim tried to be Mr tough guy and would have like it if he trusted his heart more to tell Mila that he did have feelings for her and the "favorites " can just jump off a cliff together. but it was a good read.
This book was okay. I read the Part 1 and really enjoyed it. But after reading the entire set, I think this is a book that you would have to read in installments. I was excited after the first part and bought the rest of the series. I was very disappointed there wasn't much plot or story it was just the same thing over and over again. Honestly very boring. I probably only recommend this to a lonely housewife. It had potential but hook if you like sex with no story here you go.
two male alphas in one pack...never knew it can happen but it worked for them. The story is basically what the title entails, a human female to be a mate for an alpha. Since there can only be one alpha in the pack; usually a fight to death as the victor will lead as alpha in the pack, the female human suggested to have both the alpha males claim her as mate to avoid such a fight as they are best friends.
This was a very sweet, undeniably sensual MFM ménage romance. Caim is strong and sexy and alpha to the extreme, but he lacks the finesse that his best friend and partner alpha Asch masters well. Mila is a bit impulsive when she decides to offer herself up as a mate for the Lazarus pack, and soon finds herself in an impossible situation. She doesn't want the pack torn apart by mating issues, and comes up with a dangerous plan. I would read more from this author.
The beginning was really HOT!!! Then it kinda fizzled out for me. I found the lead character Mila, to be annoying and childish at times. Being 25 years, you would think she would have a bit more self esteem, but she was to whinny and didn't like to talk or work things out with her alphas. I really enjoyed the difference between the two alphas, that was a great contrast. An epilogue would have been nice to read, to find out if they did have more kids. Overall, it was okay.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I was very happy with these books. They put a refreshing twist on all shifter stories. These were NOT your traditional were books. They were soooo good. And just to let you know-Im actually hoping the last novella is a cliffhanger!
It was ok, but Caim's instant shift from "I hate you and am in no way attracted to you" to "You are mine and I will kill my best friend for the rights to your body" was way too abrupt. Also, I would have liked to have gotten more details of each character's back story.
Read the first as a freebie. I felt the need to know more. I'm actually not sure how I feel about this bundle. I found Mila to be annoying more times than not. And I think that Asch got the short of the stick.
I truly found this set of books different and exciting. To be the mate of two Alphas gave problems that are hard too believe and a lot of fun to see the answers.
Oh my goodness. I was so addicted to this book. I work the night shift and I had to take my e reader to work with me, so I could continue to read it. Wow. I can't wait to read the next one
Loved this series. This is a story about 2 alpha werewolves who compliment each other, are friends and decide to share a mate. Many love scenes, but it is also about pack life and family. 5 stars.
This series is hard to rate. I liked it but a few things bothered me about it. Mila is coming to the Lazarus pack as an Alpha's mate. Ashe is thought to be the Alpha mate and she likes him right away. Come to find out there are 2 Alphas and they must fight each other. It's the way of their wolves. Caim is different. He's very wolfish. Meaning he's harder around the edges and doesn't show emotions. Doesn't understand them. He's determined to hate Mila because she's going to divide the pack. He's perfectly happy without a mate. However, wolf females are unable to breed to full term. So, hence human females. She doesn't like Caim at first either. Til she forms an idea to imprint on both Alpha's because she doesn't want to tear the pack apart. Caim thinks about it and spending a few moments with her he changes his mind and mates with her to see. He admits himself she's intriguing. Ashe is easy to love because he's softer and understands humans better. I think it's a balance. She needs both. Gruffness and intense Caim and softer Ashe. Not that Ashe is not just as Alpha as Caim because he is. Just understands her more. Although through the series Caim never professes his love he very much loves her. He just doesn't know what the emotion is but he feels it. His upbringing was different. One thing I didn't particularly like was Mila was surrounded by the female wolves who had relations with both Alpha's. That messed with her confidence a lot. She wasn't fully prepared for what this was going to be. I feel some sympathy for her. Once she had the understanding it was good. Another thing that bothered me was how whiny she was written. She complained sooo much. It was annoying. She played favorites too. It's really clear she loves one Alpha more than the other. I feel Ashe got gipped in regards to character development. So, I think the author had a favorite too. Shame.
I fell in love with the characters. I laughed, got angry and wished, worried and cheered for the characters. The author did a good job with building the characters in the story. There were ones I liked and others I thought (for a while) would be great to toss off a cliff. I liked how the personalities of the pack and story grew together. I was when rooting for even the cliff candidates at the end. I can't wait to start the next book.
