Rate this book
In this sexy romance, Vince Grange is a labor negotiator in New York who's famous for being tough but fair. His nickname is Bulldog. He enjoys his work, his easy bachelor existence, and his lack of ties. When his rich great aunt Marjorie dies, to everyone's surprise, she wills her spoiled French toy poodle to Vince. To the dog, she wills the bulk of her large fortune. All Vince has to do is keep Mimi happy and healthy and when the pooch dies of old age, Vince will get the cash. Vince is not thrilled with the arrangement. Neither is Mimi, the poodle who only understands French (or pretends to). How can he keep up his bulldog reputation if he's seen walking a powderpuff on legs with a real diamond collar and pink-painted toenails! He can't do it!When the most gorgeous woman he's ever seen corrects his French—a woman who turns out to be a nanny, he decides that what Mimi needs is the world's most gorgeous nanny.Sophie Veneau is more than happy to take on the job of escorting Mimi to the salon and preparing gourmet meals for Mimi's finicky palate. She's less happy about the wild attraction she feels to Mimi's big, sexy owner. When she and the French poodle are nearly mugged in the park, a large homeless black dog, ferocious and determined, comes to their aid. And follows them home. Soon, to Vince's horror, his one-man household has increased to four. And somebody's out to hurt Sophie. In this romantic comedy about a rich dog and a poor dog, a big American man, and a petite Frenchwoman, nothing is quite what it seems. Family drama, mystery, comedy, and some hot, sexy nights mean that life will never be the same for this collection of opposites.

Vince Grange who is big and gruff is in his Aunt Marjorie's will. Aunt Marjorie and Uncle David never had any kids but ended up with the Grange Fortune. Aunt Marjorie never having any kids had several lap dogs that she spoiled. The latest being a diamond studded poodle named Mimi. The aunt leaves Mimi to Vince in her will but Mimi receives the bulk of her fortune. Vince needs to take care of Mimi in the manner she is accustomed too. After Mimi dies of natural causes the money will be his. But if she dies mysteriously than the money will be divided between Vince's cousins. Vince hires Sophie to be the dog's nanny while he is at work. Sophie and Mimi get mugged and a big doberman comes to their rescue. The stray dog follows them home and won't leave. They end up taking him in and name him Sir Galahad. Bad things keep happening and they think it is Sophie's ex-boyfriend. Is it or is it someone else? Read the funny story to find out.

This is one of the cutest stories I have read. Love, Money, a Security Dog and a Sweet Little Pooch all in one with a little bit of mystery thrown into the mix.

Vince is one very lucky guy if you ask me. All he has to do is one thing in order to inherit billions of dollars from his Aunt. But to Vince, it sure does seem like his unlucky day getting stuck with a rich pooch that doesn't even closely fit his style, or his look for that matter. What big buff guy is going to be seen with a primp and proper rich pooch that costs more than anything he owns. But that rich pooch might just be the reason he meets the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. Will Vince come to love Mimi the little rich pooch or will he still wish he didn't get stuck with the job?

Sophie is a French Nanny who just happens to be in the park at just the right time to meet Vince. And will become Mimis Nanny soon enough. After having accepted the position and doing as she normally would, she begins to have things happen to her and Sir Galahad comes to her and Mimi's rescue. Will she be able to talk Vince into keeping him and will that stop the attacks on Sophie? Or is Sophie even really in danger?

What will happen to Mimi and the Doberman Sir Galahad in the end?

Does Vince and Sophie discover the truth before it's too late?

Just what the doctor ordered.
Werd er aan mijn wensen voldaan? Absoluut.

Rich Bitch: Everything’s Going to the Dogs by Nancy Warren
Vincent Elliot Preston Grange, the fourth, more often known as Vince or Bulldog, has just received an unwanted gift. This big man known for being ruthless has inherited a foofoo dog from his great-aunt. Lucky him. And dearest Mimi only understands French. Yep, he’s lucky all right. And then...Sophie Veneau stepped into his path when he needed her most. Literally. A French speaking nanny. Lucky him!

Things aren’t quite cut and dried. Things start happening the day Sophie starts as the doggie nanny. Can they solve the mystery before someone gets hurt? This was a fun read. I could just imagine this big manly man taking care of a foofoo dog with painted nails. And it was fun to see the added characters come on the scene. The author really brought all the characters and their actions to life.

What would you do if your rich aunt left you a dog, a French toy poodle? And you were responsible for taking care of the poodle until she dies, then you inherit 14 million dollars. Of course with the stipulation that the dog lives out her life naturally. That’s exactly what happened to Vince Grange. His life was perfect up till that moment. Single, looks and body to draw women and he loved his job. Vince didn’t want a dog, and if he did, it would be a real dog, a big dog. Not a spoiled, small, French poodle with a diamond collar. Yet, she, Mimi, was all his. Oh, did I mention Mimi only understood French? Throw in a stunning French “dog nanny”, two cousins who want the money, and you end up with a great story filled with humor, suspense and love. I always enjoy Nancy’s books, and this lived up to my expectations. RICH BITCH is an entertaining read.

I adored this book. It had everything I love in a light read - realistic, believable characters, a mystery, and DOGS!! The conquering of the hero by the two dogs could have carried the book all on its own, but was supported by a love story AND a crime thread. Fun fun fun, from the first page to the last!

Funny, a big sexy mans man inherits his aunt's prissy toy poodle and the middle inherited the aunt's millions. Throw in a nanny for the poodle a Doberman, being shot at mugged and some poison and you got the makings of a fantastic story.

This was a fun read; however, it would have been better if it had maintained it's family-friendly story line instead of becoming R-rating half way thru. The storyline would have been more enjoyable without the sex scenes which added nothing to it.

I really liked this novella. I loved the quirky situations, humor and the characters. The relationship between the characters develops a little too fast to be believable (hard to do in a novella) but I just loved it for the fast and fun read it was.
