A baby. A man. A secret.
Amy Sullivan's life might have been lonely but it was safe, until she found a baby on her doorstep. With her alcoholic mother gone, and a five-month-old sister to look after, Amy has no choice but to give her sister what she never had - a family - and that means moving back to Montana and the only man she's ever loved.
Nathan Gray's life has turned upside down and the last person he wants to see is Amy Sullivan. Nine years earlier she left him faster than a howling nor'wester and now, burned and broken after a barn fire, he has even more reason to keep his distance. Only this time fate and a meddling family have other ideas and their lives are about to come crashing down. Right on top of each other.

This was a solid read...good writing, nice series set up, and some interesting characters. I especially loved Catherine. The story sounded great, but it never really hooked me. I wasn't very invested in it, and unfortunately, it wasn't all that memorable. It wasn't a bad story, it just needed more excitement and character development. Something to really grab the reader's attention. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes sweet, simple and clean stories.
I really enjoyed the story, my problem, is I felt like I came in in the middle of the tale. The hero is recovering from severe burns suffered in a barn fire, but you never fully learn about the fire. How did it start, why was he the only one hurt, you never find out. The lack of the back story kind of dimmed the good points in the tale.
Didn't finish after page 15. It might be an okay read but I don't like reading a book that feels like I am starting in the middle. I also get tired of characters who have rules for themselves. Like this girl, whose "rule" is to not to lose her heart to the guy. I'm just over that type of conflict. I want the characters to just live. And for the authors to quit putting emphasis on the "rules" characters create for themselves. I get tired of the age old self beratement monologuing. You know, where the characters are CONSTANTLY having to scold themselves for thinking romantically about the other. And all just because they need to stick to their little "rules" in order to "protect themselves". Blah. Now I don't know how bad that gets in this book because I didn't get through much of it, but I can already see it has a lot of potential to do just this. I'm already annoyed with the female lead for running out on the guy in the past because of "all the bad memories" she has of the place they live. Ugh! I try and be sympathetic to characters hardships but I just find this conflict to show how weak a character is. I want to read about an awesome female who is able to rise above her trials and go after what she wants in life. I don't really want to read about a girl who runs away. So personal opinion. The book may be good for you if this kind of thing doesn't bother you.
A contemporary romance that is good clean fun to read. It is not full of spicy bits, but kissing can be pretty fulfilling.
Amy has returned home to Montana, home to the Gray family, which includes Nathan. She has her younger sister, Catherine, with her. After her mother dumped the five-month-old on her doorstep in Chicago, Amy sought temporary custody and brought her here.
Old feelings between Nathan and Amy emerge, but can either one release control? Especially when each is (or feels) damaged in some manner? Will either admit to loving the other?
What about Catherine? Will Amy and Catherine ever see their mother again? And if they do, will the sisters be separated?
This was a sweet romance and I really liked the main characters. Some of it felt rushed to me though. Amy and Nathan have known each other for a long time and have a history, but are both facing personal issues. Amy had a difficult childhood and is now raising her baby sister. Nathan was recently in a fire and is struggling with his physical limitations. While these issues are addressed, I felt like they weren't fully developed and were sort of dropped in a rush to get to the happy ending.
I still had a hundred pages to go but I was bored out of my mind and didn’t finish it. These book are just a 100 pages to long. It just goes on and on about……., nothing…… The storyline was way to slow.
This book is wonderful. Beautifully written, engaging plot, believable characters, as well as believable situations. However, like a lot of books out there, I didn't see much growth in the characters. This story was more about the two main characters coming to terms with the craziness life has shown them and their feelings for one another, but Amy didn't seem like she had grown much in the 9 years she had been away. I get that certain people and/or places have a way of taking you back to another time in your life, but there is no way that a 27 year old woman who is in the situation that Amy is will still think and act like an 18 yr old. Life happens and we change, that's just the way of it.
Romance, western, contemporary; some sensuality and trauma Nathan and Amy’s story is a mostly sweet romance with a few sensual scenes. Set in ranching country with a family of several brothers and one sister. Past trauma, current worries brings Amy back to Nathan’s family home and into his heart. Two honest, hardworking hurting characters, Amy with her emotional neglect and abuse in the past, and Nathan with severe physical scars and still healing. Together they work through their present hurts and pains, and draw closer together. A little more sensual than I usually read. Good characters and fun setting.
I've enjoyed other Leeanna Morgan books but I thought this one started slow. I almost put it down and didn't pick it up again. Amy carried so much baggage but she wouldn't talk it out. In real life you would have life interrupting and other people living their lives you could focus on. In a book, it gets tiresome having non resolved baggage page after page. Nathan wasn't much help either. He was stubborn but not a strong character. If I were a marriage counselor I wouldn't give them much of a chance.Sorry but not my favorite.
I felt like I had missed something ; what happened to Nathan. What caused the barn to burn. Who started the fire or what ; was anyone else hurt? Is there another book before this one that I missed? I think this would have been a”5” star if all the pieces were there. Since I gave it a “3” ; this should tell you that I enjoyed what there was of the story.
Love it! I love this series By Leeanna Morgan. I love it as a series and as stand-alone books.
A relaxing Sunday afternoon read and you may share it with Mom...
There are some gaps - like some more detail about the barn fire, some detail about what gossip Amy heard that got her running would have been quite in order...
I enjoyed it, I did. But I never got sucked in. In fact, I put it down multiple times and distracted myself from reading it. I wasn't really emotionally invested in it either. I like the characters and I liked the premise but I just didn't connect with it.
They fell for each other as teens but then she left to become a doctor. He survived a fire and she has custody of her little sister. And she brought her to Bozeman to the only people she considers family. A wonderful continuation of the series.
This was good, but left some unanswered questions. The main one, the fire that caused the MC to be in chronic pain. We never fully learn what happened. Just that it did.
Forever in Love is the story of Amy and Nathan. Amy left Nathan nine years ago and has only visited a few times. When she returns to the Gray’s home, she has a surprise with her. Catherine is her half sister. This is the heartbreaking story of what Amy has been trying to overcome, since she was fourteen, and what Nathan has been dealing with, since a fiery accident that has left him scarred. Grab your copy and get sucked in to this page turner that had me reading in just one sitting.
A world of hurt for 2 people that draws them together.
The plot line was very good. Nathan who had suffered so much physical injury and Amy who had suffered so much emotional injury joking together to make a sweet love story.
I hate romance novels with lots of lovey dovey over the top language. But with this author there is none of that but she still writes a good romance.
I would've liked a bit more steamy scenes between the characters but it was a good story none the less.
Sweet story with only a few kisses. I felt a lot of backstory was missing. What happened that caused the fire and the H to get severely burned. Why did the h leave town so fast 9 years ago. This was just glossed over and I needed more.
I did like how the family came together and love for each other was surely felt. The h is a doctor, but we never know what kind of doctor. The part about her sister was very touching.
No cheating, little on drama, no cliffhanger, standalone story, HEA and only kisses. Still a good story, but needed a little more. (ljb)
I really am enjoying this series. I got it as a boxed set with the 1st 3 books and I can hardly wait to read the next one. Amy and Nathan are 2 people who knew each other when they were younger but the time wasn't right for either one of them. Amy has returned to town with her baby half-sister, Catherine. Nathan is still trying to return to normal after a fire left him unable to do the things that he used to. When they finally realize their feelings for one another, it is super sweet.
A sweet and enjoyable story where Nathan and Amy found true love. After nine years apart it was a shock for Nathan to realize his feelings for Amy was as strong as ever. A second chance at love Amy had, but would her fear scare her off or could she just for once conquer it, to get a chance at love. Beautifully entertaining and quite enticing.
Amy's mom left her in Montana when she was a teenager with loving family. After graduation she went to college and became a Dr. She left her heart in Montana with Nathan after nine years her mom has had another daughter and leaves her with Amy. Amy returned to Montana and her and Nathan ended up together and she gets custody of her sister. Very good story.
I worried through the complete book about Any and her little sister. Would love ever be kind to this smart woman who has had some hard bumps in life for someone so young.. I had to complete the whole book in one sitting. A great book and Leeanna .Morgan has captured me for another day.
The Love story of Amy and Nathan. Amy is taking care of her half sister and she want to become Catherine permanent guardian. So she goes back to Montana to the one family who always help her. In her live back came Nathan. Will she find love with Nathan nd keep Catherine? Great story.
Sweet story and the main characters were well developed. However the lack of sharing her past with the old love of her life bothered me. It would have brought more understanding and bonding in the relationship between Amy and Nathan. I enjoyed reading book so so bought the next one in he series. Leeanna Morgan is a talented writer.
Light hearted wonderful, big sisters love for baby love I was moved by the protective sacrifice Amy makes. I was captivated by Nathan's accident and the strong loving scene that was so sweet to read I got goosebumps. The authors familiar romantic storylines are a delightful favorite, looking forward to more later on.
