Into the mind of a killer.

Oh man! This was hard to get through! There was a lot of information here that was both disturbing and helpful as they said “you recognize the warning signs, making you more aware in your everyday life as we all strive to understand the complexities of this crazy world we live in.”

Most of these cases start off the same. People who were abused as children or have never felt enough for this world. A monster isn’t born it is created by the society they’re apart of.

I should’ve stopped when the author listed bdsm as a mental illness (and continued to do so). The writing was bad with many typos and mostly opinion based narratives. Some of the facts weren’t even actual facts. Some of the stories weren’t even about cannibals. I gave this two stars only bc it introduced me to some killers I didn’t already know, otherwise this would’ve been one star. Clearly not a professional in any of the fields that are attempted here.

Ummm not sure why I finished reading this. Don't get me wring, there is a lot of history and information about the killers in here. It just wasn't the way I like to read true crime. I prefer a more narrative approach. This wasn't if. If I were just after the information it might have been better.

I'm love true crime, and this book delivers. I'm fascinated by how authorities catch the perpetrators, but in this book, Dale N. Cohen gives us a fascinating as well as horrifying look behind the criminals's minds. I give this book two thumbs up.

I just finished this book today. Reading about cannibalism and what brought the monster to this point was interesting indeed. Not one of them had a normal up bringing. They all had mental issues but most doctors did not see the signs and this is how a monster was formed.
